The Centipedes gathered in the dark, they waited for their number to build large enough. They had an instinct that they would need more of their kind if they were to tackle the food that rested in front of the humans. One of meals had a powerful aroma that seemed like wild beast to them.
After hours of gathering their forces, more than a hundred of them stood in the dark of the tunnel. They covered the floor, walls and ceiling. No trace of the grounds they were attached to was left behind. With enough numbers, the centipedes started to quietly make their way to the light the meals were in. A black tinted purple pincer came into the light, soon the front half of a gruesome looking centipede walked forward.
"Guys..." Dean tapped on Mary, waking her up. All of their eyes moved to the centipede that stood halfway into the light.
"Don't worry, it's only an F rank Monster." Sam responded. He pulled out his sword and stood up.
Then two more came out into the light.
"Not a problem."
Then ten more came out.
"I can still handle them, Mary stand back."
Mary got up, Tabby in her arms. The cat was still hazy from being abruptly woken up.
Dean grabbed one of the flashlights that was left on the floor and shined it towards the thirteen centipedes. But there wasn't only thirteen. The light revealed hundreds more behind the few that already stepped into the light. All of their faces dropped.

"Run!" Sam shoutted. The first centipede jumped at him, its pincers was ready to pierce his body. He ducked and cuts it in half. It only made it angry as it split into two. Sam didn’t even dent the large group. He turned and ran towards the other three, picking up the last flashlight from the floor.
Caught up to the other two, Sam grabbed Mary and put her over his shoulder and threw the cat to Dean.
They ran as fast as they could, dashing quickly pass the abandoned train, the hundreds of centipedes crawled all over it in pursuit. A loud stampede rumbled from the thousands of feet that rushed towards the tasty meals on wheels. There would have been corpses left in the train, but the F ranked centipedes are known for not leaving anything behind. They ate every last part of the passengers from the train.
The centipedes were slowly gaining on them, their thousands of legs putting up a good match compared to the human's measly two.
Sam was much further ahead than Dean, his speed was incredible for someone with an old woman over his shoulder. Thoughts started to appear in Dean's mind as they ran. In his head, images of the centipedes caught up to him, and of they then ripped them to shreds as they eat them. Dean didn't know why but his thoughts had a taste of realism, as if he had experienced something similar before.

A familiar drawing of himself appeared on the window. "Would you like to increase your Dexterity?" It asked.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
"Yes! Put everything I can into Dexterity!" Dean shouted.
[Consuming 1600 Points]
A red glow radiated from his feet and built up his legs. The weight of his legs became lit as he took wider strides with ease. His speed increased to something he had never reached before.

The number for dexterity changed from a 4 to a 9. The little version of him jogged on the spot and then the window closed.
Dean started to catch up with Sam, matching his speed. The Centipedes now fell behind. Since the centipedes weren't as fast as them, it became more of a battle of endurance, and less of a chase. The centipedes were starving; they wouldn't give up anytime soon.
A couple of hours had passed, Dean and Sam had been running nonstop. The centipedes were far back from them, but still kept a steady pace forward, showing no signs of stopping. Dean and Sam's breaths were heavy, and their bodies were full of stitches. Hours of constant sprinting took their bodies to the limit. They both looked back while running forward.
"Are they ever going to give up?" Dean asked, his breath haggard.
"No. Once F Rank Centipedes start, they won't stop until they catch their prey. Unless... throw the cat!"
Mary shouted from Sam's shoulder, "No! Not Tabby!"
"I'm not throwing the Cat." Dean protested. Tabby was cradled in one of his arms.
"I told you to throw the cat!"
"No!"
Sam looked at Dean and back to the stampede of centipedes. "You should have listened to me."
Sam tripped Dean, making him stumble onto the tracks. The ground scratched him and teared into his clothes. His flashlight fell out of his hand as he hit the ground, the flashlight rolled across the floor. The light shined on the mass of centipedes. Mary shouted "Tabby! Dean! Let me down Sam!"
Sam ignored her pleas and continued running with Mary over his shoulder. The only sign of them being there was a faint glow of light that grew smaller and dimmer the further they went.
The centipedes caught up to Dean soon after he was tripped. The first centipede jumped at him; Dean rolled to the side with Tabby in his arms. The centipede's sharp legs scratched his arm deep enough for it to draw blood. He gasped from the pain, the gravel from the ground scrapped against his bare skin. Without enough time to think, another Centipede jumped for him. Dean pressed his foot against the floor to jump out of the way.
[Quickstep Lv1 Activated]
A short burst of power built at his feet. He pushed on his foot; a strong force sent him backwards, away from the centipedes. He slid and rolled away; Tabby still wrapped in his arms. But things were dire. He couldn't keep this up for long, soon the rest of the centipedes would catch up, surround him, and shut down the areas he could dodge to. They'll also soon block the only route he could run. Dean tried to stand up, but before he could run, a centipede cut his calve. The painful gash slowed him from running at full speed, the power in his leg gradually grew weaker.
[Quickstep Lv1 Activated]
Dean pushed hard on his legs, the force from the push and the skill combined propelled him again, throwing him a couple of feet away before the onslaught of centipedes could touch him. It was the last of his strength, the centipedes will soon surround him, leaving nothing of him or Tabby. Dean clutched the cat tight and closed his eyes; He waited for the mass of Centipedes to reach them.
"I'm sorry." Dean told Tabby.
A bright red glow started to radiate from Tabby, completely covering her body from sight. The light started to grow even bigger than Dean.
"Tabby?"
[Tabby has activated Tiger's Inferno Lv3]
[An apex predator of Flame enters the stage.]
A large, dark blue striped paw stepped out, crushing the rail below. A massive blue tiger, the same size as a car, came out of the light. Its body was covered in bright blue flames. Its eyes were black, with white pupils. The tiger bite into one of the centipede's heads, crushing it in its jaws. Two more jumped for the tiger, but they soon got crushed by his large paws and were set aflame by the blue fire. The burning, crushed centipedes let out a hellish scream as they were consumed in fire. The tiger then roared, a blue flame shot out from its mouth covering most of the centipedes, setting them aflame. The heat from the fire was scorching, the air around it wavered.
Dean was amazed by the sight. The large centipedes were barely the size of ants in front of this massive predator.
"Tabby?"
The tiger turned back and looked at Dean, then went to finish the rest of the left over centipedes.
"Mary, what have you been feeding your cat?"
