The three were walking down a street not too far from the area with the M&S store.
"What happened to you?" Mary asked Dean.
The road ahead of them was blocked by a fallen building. Sam signalled them to enter into a narrow alleyway to continue.
"Me?" Dean pointed at himself, his expression blank.
"I was going to ask you about that, and what happened here?!?" Dean shouted as he pointed to the destroyed building they recently left behind.
"Shut up." Sam put his hand out to Dean, a look of annoyance was in his eyes.
"Are you simple? Do you want to alert the Gate monsters?"
Sam wondered why Mary would want to bring this man child along, he was already a hazard at work, and with how things are now, he was going to get them all killed.
"Gate monsters? We're not in a Gate though." Dean looked dumbfounded. The safe zones blocked the monsters from leaving the Gates, he studied about it in class.
"The world's a Gate now." Sam responded. He looked down the alleyway, his eyes looking elsewhere.
"What do you mean?"
Dean's face grew dark. The world a Gate? No wonder why everything was in this state. Mary grabbed Dean's arm, trying to comfort him.
"Dean. Not long after you disappeared windows appeared everywhere. All of them started counting down. No one knew what they meant, but they knew something big was going to happen, and then when the countdown finished..." Mary stopped, fear was in her voice. The events were too much for her to remember.
"What?" Dean asked, his eyes wide. He had an idea of what could have happened, but he wanted to make sure.
Sam continued for her, "The monsters from the gate came flooding out. People were getting slaughtered left and right, there were just too many of them. The Hunters tried their best, but they couldn't keep up with the numbers." His hands were clenched in a fist, they must have gone through a lot.
"Oh god." A part of Dean wouldn't accept what happened to the world, he thought it was a dream. The situation was too outlandish for it to have happened.
"And the Gate missions?"
"After the humans were whittled down by the wave of monsters, it got worse. A video of a man with a TV for a head was broadcast on all the windows. He put up his black inked fingers, and a smile crept onto the screen where his face should have been. He said 'It's time to start, we've prepared you with Gate's. Now Earth, it's your turn, it's time to put on a show.' and then he vanished. It's been three days since then. Gate missions and zones have appeared everywhere, if you don't complete them, you die."
Sam continued, looking into the distance, anger in his eyes. He then turned his head to look back at Dean.
"Now stop being an idiot-." Suddenly, Sam pulled out his broadsword and pointed it to the exit of the alleyway.
A gang of four men stepped from around the corner, each of them had lethal homemade weapons held in their hands. Their clothes were covered in blood, much more than Dean and Sam had on theirs.
"Look boys, it's free points!" One of them hissed with a grin. He held a wooden bat covered in barb wire and sharp nails; blood smeared all over the end. The rest of the men held similarly made weapons, a smile on each of their faces.

"Guys can't we get along?" Dean said, his arms out as if he trying to calm the mood.
"The points want to be friends, too bad. I don't want to be a friend with someone who will soon be dead." The man laughed. All four of them charged the group, holding their weapons up high.

Dean and Sam gripped their weapons tightly and stepped forward as Mary retreated back.
"I'll take the three on the left, you handle the one on the right." Sam told Dean; his broad sword held tightly in one hand.
"Really? Three-"
Sam ran forward, easily removing the head of the first man. Blood came gushing out from his neck as his head went flying across the alleyway. The body then thuds onto the ground. Sam wiped the blood from his sword on the corpse's clothes. He then approached the other two, swinging at one of their arms, cleanly removing it from his shoulder. Blood came gushing out from the wound.

Dean was amazed at how easily Sam had killed the two men; there was a reason why he managed to become a Hunter so young. The one man on Dean's side ignored the onslaught of his friends and continued running at Dean.
"Die!" The man screamed as he swung a crowbar. Dean quickly stepped to the side, dodging the attack. He then swung his pipe hard. It hit the man square in his gut. The man staggered back from the shock.
In retaliation to the hit, the man haphazardly swung his crowbar at Dean. It was much easier for Dean to dodge than the first swing. The man was off balance and tried to get a lucky hit in. Dean grabbed the crowbar and hit the man's hand with his pipe. The hit made the man lose his grip on the crowbar.
"Why couldn't we just get along?" Dean said, his voice sad.
Dean swung the guy's crowbar, digging it straight into his skull. The man collapsed to the ground.

The fight with this guy was much easier than the one with Frank. Dean was a little scared with how easy it was for him to take the life of another, but he wasn't just going to let the guy kill him. He looked to Sam to see how his fight was going, only to find it had long been over.
"Why the hell did they attack us for points?" Dean asked. Sam was searching the bodies of the thugs.
"Points are needed to survive. Some missions need points to be completed. How the hell did you survive this long without knowing something like that?" Sam told Dean, finding nothing useful in the pockets.
Mary ran over to them after the chaos died down.
"Are you boys alright?"
"Yes Mary, they didn't even get a hit in." Sam told her.
"Oh good" She said, her hands clenched tightly against her chest.
"You can also use points to buy things from the Contestant Shop, it's where I brought my healing skill from." Mary said.
"The Contestant Shop? Where's that?" Dean asked confused, wondering if he had to go to a shopping centre to find it.
"Idiot, you just have to think about it appearing in front of you." Sam told him; his arms crossed. He was annoyed that the people that attacked them had nothing but a few points.
Dean thought about the Contestant Shop.
[Opening Contestant Shop]
A big window appeared in front of him. There were various strange items on the window, ranging from potions to weapons. A 'P' sits in the bottom right corner of the window with an 1850 next to it. The items were things you would find a Hunter would have, some of them were even on special sale.
The top of the window had various tabs, each marked by a symbol representing: Skills, Items, Weapons, Armor and Stats. Dean curiously clicked on stats; the window of the store changed appearance.
A small drawn version of him stood in the middle of the screen, labels connected to various parts of his body. Each of the labels had the general stats with a plus and points next to them. They were the same stats that Dean saw when he used Sage's Eyes.
Dean pressed the label that was connected to his little version's chest.

A green glow radiated from Dean's body.
[Your Physique has Leveled Up!]
The level of his Physique on the screen changed from Level 1 to 2.
"Wow." Dean looked at his hands, he felt like he grew a little tougher.
"Come on, we should keep moving." Sam snapped Dean out of his fascination, and then they continued walking through the alleyway, leaving the corpses of the men that attacked them behind.
