Ezer was about to call him when he recognized him, but the old man doesn't even notice and closes the door as quickly as he opens it. Ezer approaches the door that reopens again because of the two men who came out of it almost without looking at him, it seems as if all the people in this town have a goal, something to do more than sit and sink in their hardships, so much that even the wounded gave way to others in worse shape. The order and discipline was overwhelming, so much so that it seemed rehearsed.
When Ezer crosses the threshold of the door, before him lies a man lying on a wooden platform with a rag in his mouth and the old man pounding herbs in a mortar.
“Bring her closer.” The old man says it having turned his head and noticed the new presence in the room.
Ezer can hear the weariness in his voice that was trying to camouflage by pouring even more vigor into his movements as pounded the herbs.

“She is serious, has a deep infection in her leg.” Ezer steps forward and removes the worn bandages from Lyaria's leg.
The old man observes the wound for a few seconds and a grimace appears on his face, Ezer is unable to identify what he was expressing.
“She can wait.” Dry words come out of his mouth.
“Eh?” That was a completely opposite reaction to what Ezer expected, he believed that the old man would divert all his attention on his granddaughter, but that is not what happened.
“Gretka!” The old man yells, his voice echoing throughout the house.
“Yes!” A few seconds later a woman outside the doorway stops with heavy breathing, it was the same one who gave directions to Ezer in the beginning.
"Take her to my room and bring disinfectant herbs along the way, it doesn't matter what it is as long as it works." The old man returns to his mortar without seeing how the woman takes Lyaria and carries her away.
“Boy, I need your help.” When Ezer was about to go with Lyaria the old man stops him.
He turns around and sees how the man lying on the platform drains his strength and is unable to continue exerting pressure with his arms and thus retain the guts that came out of his abdomen.
For the first time, Ezer becomes nauseous at the sight of blood.
