The bear's roar vibrates the air after it has snapped the neck of one of the male bison. The others waste no time and surround him showing intelligence and making it clear that they too are beasts.
One bison, perhaps the leader, generates a loud snort and charges the bear head-on while two charge from the sides. The bear can do nothing but take hits and then try to fight back. The snorts and roars are mixed as well as the sounds of bones breaking.
What Ezer managed to see in that moment he would remember for the rest of his life and it would be a story that would entertain and amaze many people in the future.
Facing the three bison with nowhere to run, the bear decides to attack before being attacked. Anticipating the attack of the leading bison, the bear launches its claws directly at his head.
With a terrifying sound, a horn detaches and falls to the ground, despite being destabilized, the bison does not stop its attack and raises its last horn directly to the bear's chest, seconds later the other two bison hit the sides.
The bear's ribs crack under the tremendous pressure and its chest bleeds from the embedded horn. Its front legs sink their claws into the skin of the alpha bison, struggling to break off and prevent the horn from penetrating further into its flesh.
The snorts and roars mingle with each other in a deadly struggle for life and death. Ezer believed that the bison had the advantage in numbers and size, but he realizes that he was completely wrong.
The bear stretches out its neck and brings its teeth to the upper part of the bison's neck, the thick skin and meat is pierced but no vital points are affected. However, the pressure was more of a problem as it increased, compressing his spine and generating a sound like small branches snapping.
His hind legs give out first, then his front legs, and lastly his eyes slowly close as his breathing stops. The bison lies on the ground stripped of all life and its single horn detaches from the bear's flesh dripping blood.
Those who attacked the bear were not the only bison in the place, there were almost ten, but them couldn't attack all at once as they would hinder each other. Although now with the fallen alpha everyone was hesitating what to do and the body gives them a clear message.

Ezer watches from a distance as the first bison dies, followed by the second and at any moment the third. At that moment, he knows that his last plan failed and prepares his bow.
His target is very big so it would be hard to miss, however the thick and tough skin is a problem so he needs a powerful shot if wants to penetrate it.
“Powerful but precise.” Ezer draws the string to its fullest point so that his hands begin to tremble slightly and the wood of the bow creaks.
He concentrates and visualizes how the air surrounds the arrow, when it is ready and the moment is right, he releases it.
The arrow cuts through the wind and finds its place in the bear's foreleg right at the base between the claws and pads, the point sticking in completely and the bear roaring in pain.
The bison take advantage of the moment and retreat following the tracks of their herd. Ezer did not expect this and regrets his decision.
"Shit, they're cowards...!" Ezer continues shooting until his quiver is almost empty, which from the beginning did not have many arrows. All were in vain as none managed to hit the bear being alert to its presence.
Ezer starts running again heading to his latest plan which actually didn't even count as one to him. The bear chases him with a distinct slowdown from his injuries, especially those caused by the bison.
The bear begins to limp as its paw stops responding to him as it normally did, the arrowhead was still embedded so it prevented external bleeding or that is what normally happens. In this case, thanks to the poison, the blood did not stop draining from the wound staining its white fur.
Ezer runs until he reaches the place where he had left his spear ready, it was very heavy and it had to be, since it would break like a toothpick before the force of the bear.
"I really didn't think it would get to this point... Face him hand-to-hand." His chances were minuscule and he knew it, but had no other resources at his disposal.
The bear and Ezer face each other once again, they've done it so many times that it even seems like a routine for both of them. But this was over now, and they know it, that's what they decided.
The claws come straight at Ezer's face and he dodges it by throwing the spear to the side and then retrieves it after rolling on the ground. Ezer moves the tip of the spear forward, but it is quickly evaded.
A deadlock is created between the two.
“We both measured our strength... now it truly begins.” With those words in his mind, he advances towards the beast.
Ezer actually hoped the spear would be more useful to him, but the weight and inexperience only made it serve as ballast. So when the opportunity presents itself, he abandons it without remorse, throwing it like a javelin.
The bear uses its front paw and destroys it in seconds, but in doing so it puts all its weight on the injured paw. Ezer takes advantage of this, quickly approaching and sliding across the ground avoiding the oncoming row of teeth and making a quick movement with his hand while brandishing his dagger.
