Jonathan V. Tuesday known and called by John was a young noble man with a blonde hair. He came from a long line of noble. The Tuesday family was one of the oldest noble family in the Lakazuka Empire. Count Tuesday is John father. Even though John was not the first son and the direct heir to the family, he was ambitious like his middle name Victorious.
Jonathan sought to raise his family rank from a meager rank of a Count. This mindset could be contributed to the way Jonathan was raised. From a young tender age of 5, he was often told by his dad to be proud of their family long history.
During his education, Jonathan V. Tuesday was taught that most of the noble family that still exist, with a lot of history ,usually at rank higher than a Count.
“Teacher, why is my family still at Count then?”
The question given by John to his tutor was deflected with silence. John was not satisfied. He then made his own research.
John searched for all the written records of his predecessors known contributions and a few of the unknown one.
To his surprise, none from his lineage made a huge contribution to the empire. This was the moment the budding of a tall ambition inside of Jonathan V. Tuesday heart at the age of 10.
He drew a plan. The first step is to become the family patriarch.
“Give me the position.”

“No”
Denial from his older brother.
“I want to become the patriarch!”
“No you can’t.”
Denial from his father.
“Mother, why can’t I become the leader of the family?”
“Because you are the second son.”
Reason of denial from his mother.
Rage. John was enraged by the outright denial from his family, of his right to the patriarchy.
“Ahhhhh!!!!!!!”
In a fit of rage, Jonathan destroyed everything in his room.
Huff…..huff…..
John was 16. In a year would be his coming of age ceremony. If he still didn’t do something big, he would be sold to lower ranked noble family as a form of political marriage.
When the future seems dark, a bright light of hope shone ever so brightly. The hope in the form of a dragon. This was a chance. Once in a lifetime opportunity.
Racking his not so smooth brain. Jonathan V. Tuesday realised he couldn’t do this alone. He needed a team. A group. A really large one. He could take the credit of slaying the dragon by being the leader of the group.
“Hahahahahaha!”
With a hearty laugh, John began his scheme.
A young man with ashen hair was running. Evan breathing became rough as he ran harder and harder. He needed to get home quickly. In his hand was a flyer. The words written on the flyer were “Hiring people for the expedition to slay the dragon”.
Evan was delighted. Ever since he heard the fable of the legendary dragon slayer, Evan has been dreaming. Dream of becoming the dragon slayer. But as he grew older, that dream was buried. He believed and accepted that he would never ever see a dragon in his lifetime.
Fate can play games. Lo and behold, a dragon appeared. The dream rekindled unlike his first love.
“Mom! Mom!!!!!”
His mother opened the door and saw Evan shouting and running with a delighted face.
“Wha- What happened? What made you so happy? Is it a girl?”
Evan stopped in front of the door while trying to catch his breathe.
“Huff…huff…A dragon mom! A dragon appeared!”
“A dragon?! It is not good then! Why are you happy for a dragon?! We need to pack quickly and leave this town to your aunt Marcia house at the imperial city.”
“No mom. The dragon appeared quite far away from here.”
Evan’s mother stop panicking and sigh a breath of relief. She looked at Evan with incredulous face.
“Then why the fuss?”
“This…”
Evan slowly handed the flyer he had in his hand to his mom.
Gloria took the flyer and slowly read the content of it. The longer she read, the more wrinkle appeared between her eyebrows.
She slowly looked up to her son with a face asking for an explanation.
“I want to join the expedition.”
*Pang*
A powerful slap on Evan left cheek.
