As the sunset faded, the Orlando Mountains were engulfed in darkness.
The orc camp in the valley was also shrouded in darkness. The light of the fire in the night not only failed to bring safety to the camp but might also attract powerful monsters or unknown enemies.
On the Beland Continent, apart from intelligent beings like humans, orcs, elves, etc., there are countless powerful creatures. Although their intelligence is only instinctual, their individual strength is formidable and ferocious, and intelligent species are also their prey.
In the middle of the orc camp, a large tent housed a lioness woman who gazed out of the tent's top window at the two moons in the sky, one red and one blue, lost in thought.
Beland Continent has two satellites; Nasha, with its soil rich in iron oxide, appears red, and Tasha, with its atmosphere rich in methane, appears light blue under sunlight. According to ancient legends passed down for countless years on Beland, the goddesses Nasha and Tasha were sisters who both married the celestial god Asairo, the incarnation of the star. As a result, males of races such as humans and orcs on the continent are allowed to take two wives.
"Madam, haven't you slept yet?" A gentle voice of a leopard woman guard, Shara, came from outside the tent.
"There are no outsiders now, call me Joya. Shara, come into the tent, will you keep me company for a talk?"
The sound of the tent curtain being lifted followed.
"Joya, we have already escaped their pursuit, what are you still worried about?"
The lioness woman, Joya, gently shook her head, her eyes exceptionally bright in the night, "I have a very bad feeling since we entered the mountains, my mind has been restless. Maybe I'm overthinking, but if something unexpected happens, don't worry about me, take Leon and deliver him to my father."
Shara gently took Joya's hand, "Leon has already lost his father; he cannot lose his mother as well. Rest assured, I will protect both of you and ensure we safely reach the Bloodflame Tribe."
"Thank you, Shara. I really don't know what I would do without you."
"Joya..." Shara had just opened her mouth when she immediately stopped, noticing a faint smoke drifting into the tent.
"Enemy attack!" A cold light tore through the tent, and Shara, wielding a pair of crescent blades, leaped out of the tent.
As Shara leaped out, a huge fireball landed on a nearby tent, exploding and engulfing the entire tent in an instant.
"A mage!" Shara's heart sank.
One fireball after another fell into the camp, igniting tent after tent.
Under the firelight, figures rushed into the camp, breaking into the yet unlit tents. The orcs, caught off guard in their sleep, were slaughtered instantly.
"It's human mercenaries, orc warriors, attack!" Shara roared, charging towards the mage at the camp's entrance.
The human mage posed the greatest threat, and Shara's first instinct was to eliminate her.

Shara had only charged a dozen meters when a tall warrior emerged from the side, his sword gleaming coldly, slashing towards Shara's waist.
Shara's crescent blades swung to the side, attempting to deflect the sword and continue forward.
The crescent blades clashed with the sword, Shara's body shook, and she nearly lost her grip. Shara slid sideways for four or five meters before fully dissipating the force from the great sword.
Shara glared at the bearded man holding the great sword before her, her heart sinking. With just one strike, Shara knew she was no match for the man before her, who was a high-ranking human warrior, a War School strength.
"Even I am no match, what about Joya and the others?" Shara couldn't help but look back.
Joya also rushed out of the tent, only to be stopped by a man in hunter's attire, and kept retreating under his attacks.
Dozens of orc warriors roared as they charged out of the unlit tents, only to be met with bolts of cold light shot from the darkness.
The robust bodies of the orc warriors fell backward after being hit by several bolts, unable to get up again.
"The arrows are poisoned!" Shara thought instantly, "Who are these mercenaries, and how do they possess poisons considered contraband by humans?"
"Little girl, your opponent is me. It's not a good habit to be distracted during a fight!" Cain swung his great sword, sending a sword beam slashing towards Shara.
Shara crossed her crescent blades upward to meet Cain's sword.
Unsurprisingly, Shara was again sent flying several meters. Not waiting for Cain's next attack, Shara took the initiative to launch herself at him.
"Moonlight Flash!"
Shara used an orc battle technique first, her crescent blades danced, sending out more than a dozen qi slashes towards Cain.
Cain's great sword moved like lightning, almost forming a fan shape, easily blocking all the qi slashes.
"Spinning Slash!" Cain's great sword spun towards Shara.
The sword and crescent blades clashed continuously, forcing Shara to retreat nonstop. When the spinning sword finally stopped, Shara was kneeling on the ground.
"Little leopard, you're just a bit short!" Cain suddenly kicked, hitting Shara's chest and sending her flying.
Shara tumbled several times before getting up from the ground, blood dripping from her mouth, her body in severe pain as if several ribs had been cracked.
Shara turned and ran back, "Joya, take the children and run, we are no match for them."
Joya, covered in blood, had entered a berserk state, her hair disheveled as she furiously attacked the hunter Angus.
Angus, who had been holding the upper hand, began to retreat continuously against the berserk Joya, already taking several hits.
"I can't leave, take Leon and go!"
The berserk state of an orc temporarily increases their strength and speed, reducing their pain sensation, but it comes at the cost of depleting their life force, leaving them extremely weak afterward.
"If we go, we go together!" Shara swung her crescent blades and attacked Angus alongside Joya.
"Ganging up isn't the style of you orcs." Cain charged again, his sword sending Shara back and clashing with Joya, relieving Angus.
Even in her berserk state, Joya was no match for Cain.
The orc warriors were now clashing with the mercenaries that had emerged from the darkness.
These mercenaries were clearly much stronger than the orc warriors, having discarded their poisons, wielding shields, long swords, and spears, working together to accurately and swiftly stab the orc warriors in vital spots.
This was not the combat style of human mercenaries; it was more like an army, sending a chill down Shara's spine.
Loud roars echoed through the camp as Joya's minotaur guard, Heson, and several other orc warriors entered the berserk state, leading more orc warriors into berserk, all fighting desperately.
The human mercenaries coordinated their retreat, quickly distancing themselves from the orc warriors.
Before the orc warriors could close in, a series of fireballs fell among them, blasting groups of orcs away.
The mid-level magic technique "Chain Burst Fireball"!
Suddenly, the sound of breaking air filled the night as one after another, qi-wrapped arrows flew from the darkness.
One arrow, one life, each arrow accurately hitting the vital spots of the orc warriors, even Heson slowly falling with an arrow in his throat.
Elf archers!
Shara's newly risen hope was instantly shattered.
Shara, having lost all hope, didn't even attempt to dodge the arrow aimed at her.
At the moment the arrow was about to penetrate her heart, Joya stood in front of Shara.
"Shara, go!"
Joya let out her final roar, with the arrow in her chest, charging at Cain...
