"Oh..." I groaned as I slowly open my eyes after being out for quite a while.
"Ow!" I held my head in pain and noticed that it was wrapped in some cloth that was incredibly soft to touch. It felt expensive and was soaked in a bit of my blood.
"Where?.." I observed my surroundings and noticed that I was able to perfectly see because there was some kind of luminescent rock hanging from the ceiling. It looked like I was still in the cave, but I couldn't hear running water at all.
(How far away am I?..)
"... Wait! Ellie?! Fay?! Fuck! The ship!" I shouted as I suddenly stood up after realizing what happened. However, I immediately fell and slammed my face into the ground.
"Ugh...What the hell...?" I rolled over onto my back to see that I was actually in some kind of hammock, but it looked a bit odd.
"Spiderwebs?...Zersiks?!..." I shouted as I quickly unwrapped the cloth wrapped around my head, and looked at it. "Is this made from Zersiks too?"
"We do not like that name." A cold feminine voice said.
"Huh?"I instantly look toward the sound of the voice.
A tall pale-skin woman with her arms crossed in front of her ample chest was standing in front of the opening of the cave. She stood over 6ft tall, and her body was on the slim side. The woman's beautiful black eyes were like gems, and her short hair was snow white.
The woman was incredibly stunning, and any normal guy would fall in love right away.
However, her entire lower half was that of a spider!
"Who are you?!" I immediately roll towards the back of the cave and leaped nimbly onto my feet. My eyes quickly turned multicolored as I get ready to fight the unusual creature.
"Calm yourself great one. I am not here to harm you." The woman soothingly said as she stepped closer.
"Great one?... Tell me where we are?! And what about the ship?!" I shouted as I clenched my fists tightly.
"My name is-"
"How are you Zersiks able to reach this kind of form?!" I shouted again as I gradually released my killing intent.
"My name is Malka...And We! Are not! Zersiks!" Malka shouted as she bared her fangs, and her black eyes immediately turned a menacing yellow.
I suddenly felt as if I was suffocating under the pressure of the woman's killing intent. However, I quickly disregard it as something inside of me wanted to tear her limb from limb ruthlessly. My eyes started to glow even brighter as I was about to leap at the woman.
(Wait! Remember the training with Liam those two weeks...Just calm down Ian..)
Sweat began to drip from my forehead as I forced myself to calm down.
"Ok...I understand." I said as I gasped for air.
Malka quickly calmed herself as well as her eyes returned to normal, "Do not forget it..."
I gently sighed in relief as I carefully wiped my forehead, "So, to begin. Where exactly are we? Besides being in your home."
"You are in our underground city called Labeki."
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"City?" I immediately ran passed the woman toward the exit of the small cave, and instantly my eyes were met with a dazzling light.
I shielded my eyes until they adjusted to the light, "It is a city..."
All around me were people just like Malka going about their daily lives in this massive dome cave. Pathways were leading to smaller caves just like the one I left all around with the people using them as homes or businesses. The caves were all using the same luminescent rock found in Malka's house as a light source.
"Is all of this is under Arin's cave? It looks like a typical city....minus the legs of a Zersik on everyone I see..."
I quickly noticed the people around me started to give threatening glares after I had said that word.
Malka groaned in anger, "Please, stop saying that name. I also urge you not to say it when are around my grandfather."
"Why do you guys hate the name Z-?" I suddenly shut my mouth before I could repeat the word, but Malka understood what I was asking.
"It's a long story. I'll explain it as we walk." Malka sighed as she began to tell the story about her people called the Sixirara. The Sixirara was once a powerful race that lived on a faraway planet.
Malka continued to say that her race was defeated by the Imperials and taken in as slaves. They were then sent off to this planet to test a drug that the Imperials are making to increase the amount of magic a person can use. However, the result was the death of thousands of her people, and the ones that survived turned into what we call the Zersiks.
"We were known for our durable silk and our famous Silk arts. We use magic to control the silk, and can create various things with it.."
Malka points to a massive rock formation hanging from the ceiling, "That is an example. They aren't rocks, but our silk that is hardened by magic. Our magic then controls the light. My Grandfather created that one in particular."
"Woah..." The massive rock formation hanging from the ceiling was at least ten-thousand feet in the air. It looked like a group of massive stalactites that merged together to form a structure that lit up the entire place with its green light.
Malka continued to speak with difficulty, "The drug was a failure as it didn't make us stronger, but it turned us into cruel uncontrollable monsters."
"I see...But if that is the case then why didn't the Imperials get rid of all of you guys. That would be logical after they learned the drug failed."
"My Grandfather was able to launch an escape from the facility they were locked in. He took the small remaining people we had left and hidden us underground. We then lived here for the past 40 years."
"My grandfather is a mighty man, and without him, none of this would be possible." Malka passionately said as her eyes filled with pride.
We had continued walking for another 15 minutes before we reached a large open road. The road was made out of the same luminescent hardened silk from earlier that lead up towards the next secFayn of the cave.
"Where does this lead to?" I said as I see several Sixirara's coming down and moving up the road simultaneously. Each of them would give me an odd look as if I was abnormal.
(Well, come to think of it. I am abnormal compared to them...)
"The middle section, we have to pass through there to get to the upper secFayn where my grandfather lives."
"Is your grandfather important here?"
"Yes, he is the leader of our people and the one that wishes to see you the most."
"Is that why you kidnapped me?" I sarcastically asked.
Malka quickly became silent and started to walk up the road with ease with her eight spider legs. However, I knew right away that these roads weren't meant for human travel.
"Is there another way up there?" I shouted as I looked around for a possible way, but it seemed like this was the only way to the next section of the cave.
"Forgive me great one. I forgot that you do not have legs like ours " --Malka stretches her hand toward me-- "Here, grab on and hold onto my back."
"Ah.." I glanced uneasily at Malka and then at the road. The massive road was at least half a mile long, and the positioning made it impossible for humans to walk up on.
(I'll have to hold onto her for so long... Could I just jump?...No, I couldn't)
I sighed as I slowly took Malka's hand, and she immediately lifted me onto her back. I then wrapped my arms around her waist, holding on tight as she quickly started climbing up the rod once again.
It didn't take as long as I thought it would, but it didn't make it any less awkward for me to hold on to her back. I received so many stares and giggles from passing Sixiraras.
(Guh...so humiliating...Wait are they laughing at me?)
The middle section seemed even more lively with more businesses, and the appearance of what looked like Sixirara guards was seen roaming around.
The guards were considerably larger than Malka, and their upper bodies were covered in plated armor. All of them seemed to be using a shield and a long spear made out of their hardened silk that gave off a faint greenish light.
"You know your people are so accepting. If I saw a human in here. I would-"
"Halt human! You should not be here!" A Sixirara guard shouted as he pointed his spear at my neck.
(Yeah a lot like that...)
