"I hope this 3-eyed Wolverine core can fetch me enough money on the market to pay for a register at the very least."

Robert leaves Galot's Blacksmith and starts walking towards the crowded market place where people sell their goods. After a while, he finds a small stall buying beast cores.

"I'm buying beast cores!"

Robert walks up to the stall.

"May I ask, how much are you willing to buy this 3-eyed Wolverine core?"

"Hmm, 3-eyed Wolverine cores are a bit hard to find near here, I suppose I can give you around 40 copper coins for it."

"Sure, here's the beast core."

Robert hands the man the beast core while the man hands him, 40 copper coins in exchange.

"Nice doing business with you kid."

Robert walks off and starts heading in the direction of the Adventurer Hall. The Adventurer Hall is usually a branch of the Adventurer Association Headquarters. The Assistants give out quests and can take in quests. They stay active by making a deal with the noble family in charge of the city. The Adventurer Hall gets paid a portion of the taxes from the Noble Family while they become active in their city, effectively reducing the number beasts around the area that have a chance of killing the farmers, which means the decrease of tax money.

Robert finally reaches the Adventurer Hall. He walks in and moves towards a receptionist's desk.

"Hello sir, how may I help you out?"

"I'd like to register as an adventurer."

"Please pay the amount needed for a register and fill in this form."

Robert pulls out 50 copper coins from a pouch and drops it on the counter. He picks up a feather that's been dipped in ink and fills out the form. After he fills out the form he hands it back to the receptionist. He starts reading the form and after a minute or two he puts it away and takes out a small copper badge with an imprint of a sword. After Robert gains his Adventurer's Badge, he walks up some stairs to the Board room. In the Board room, he finds many quests to find missing items or collect the usual herbs. Some require Adventurer's to find an animal and kill it. The Adventurer's in this city don't get paid very much as it's usually very safe. Glock does have a dungeon meant for grinding. The dungeon gets difficult as it goes down so it's the main source of income in Glock.

"Perhaps I should head inside the dungeon and gain some income. I'm going to need better armor and more of it. Alright, the Dungeon it is."

Robert picks up a quest on how they need beast cores from a certain type of beast in the dungeon. They would pay extra if they can get the mostly intact exoskeleton from the Iron Shining Scorpion. As the name implies, the armor of the Scorpion is as tough and shiny as iron. As Robert is about to leave, he gets called at.

"Hey, you the guy who took the Iron Shining Scorpion quest."

Robert turns around and spots a party of 6 people. One of them is carrying a tower shield with an axe. He wears leather armor. The rest of the party either wore leather armor or a robe. 2 swordsmen, 2 magicians, and 1 priest accompany him.

"Give us that quest that you just took. It belongs to us!"

"I just grabbed the quest off the wall, how could it be yours?" 

"The receptionist said that he saved it for us personally!"

"Then why is it on the board wall?"

"He said he would put it up here when we got in!"

"That makes no sense, he should have just given it to you."

"Well, it doesn't matter, I challenge you to a duel, whoever wins gets the quest!"

"That's dumb, I already got my hands on it, what's the point of fighting you? If I don't fight you, I'm losing nothing."

"Grrh, you little shit, you better not meet me in the dungeon or you're dead meat!"

As he screams he walks downstairs with the rest of his party.

"I think he's either delusional or having brain damage. Probably hit himself with his shield a couple of times."

After that remark, Robert gets some surrounding adventurers to stifle a giggle. As they giggle, he goes downstairs to start heading into the dungeon to get some coins so he can start on his way to become stronger than those around him!
