-'I've been meaning to ask you but how are going into the elven kingdom?', I asked Flora while we were in the carriage, 'Isn't it like 3000 km away?'

-'Don't tell me you also ignore the existence of teleportation portals?', Flora asked with a sigh, 'Even kids know about them' 'How stupid are you?'

-' I'm gonna ignore the insult but what are teleportation portals and how does it work?'

-' No one knows how they work ', She explained with a teacher's attitude, ' It's the same thing with dimension rings' 'I think the legend is that a person capable of using the 7th element that no one knows what it is to make them' 'There is a limited amount of these things'

- 'I'm pretty sure the princess of the Elven kingdom doesn't need a reason to travel', said Flora with, for the first time mind you, a princess-like attitude.

The guard quickly realize his error and backed away.

-' Right sorry your majesty' 'Please stay safe on your way'

The carriage advance into the portal and it became dark. There wasn't a single sound and I can't smell nor touch anything. We were deprived of our 5 senses. It felt as if we were floating in space and I must say it was a nice sensation. After a while, we finally reach the end of the tunnel. I wish could've stayed inside a while longer. But those thoughts quickly disappear from my mind as I look at the beautiful scenery before me. We were inside a forest with trees at least 100 meters tall. Around us, there were houses made of bricks and shops selling various things. It looks like we were inside a fairy tale. I suppose we are inside a fairy tale with the existence of magic. Compare to the Human kingdom where all look depressing, the Elven kingdom looks as if it was trying to be as different from the Human kingdom as possible.

-' Wow' 'Is this where you live?', I ask Flora.

-' This is nothing' 'look at the castle in front of you'

Indeed there was a castle even more majestic than Feurdn. It was made out of smooth stone and the yard was at least 10 times as big as the one from Feurdn. I saw a building as majestic as this one. The castle itself was a few hundred times as big as my house. The inside of the castle isn't sad and empty as you expect from a castle but this one seems not as sad and empty as expected. The butlers and the maids seem enjoyed to serve the royal family. The throne room was full of paintings and the king's throne was in the middle of all.

-' Dad, I have a request to make', said Flora while running to be on his dad's side leaving me standing like a doofus.

-' Hahahahaha', said the king, ' Whatever you want my daughter, now tell me how did you do on the exam and did you find him?'

The king was a middle-aged man with a white long beard and white hair like any other elf. He seems to be one of those people that always smile but when they get mad at you, you better run as fast as possible. He looks like his prime has already passed and he certainly gained a few pounds since then. Next to him was the throne of the queen. I must say, the years have been kinder to her than to her husband. She doesn't like someone to mess with and I wonder how did the king survive this long living with her. On the other side of the king's throne is where Flora is standing. This is based on first impressions so I might be wrong. I was still standing like a doofus and I didn't know if I need to kneel or introduce myself. I decided on kneeling.

-' Father, I passed the test and I found him ', said the princess to the king.

-' Good job on passing, Flora', said her mother with a smile.

-' Thanks mom'

-' So you found him?', asked the king, 'Where is he?' 'Didn't you say that you will bring him here after the entrance exam at your school?'

-' There he is', said Flora pointing at me.

I then realize that they were talking to me. I wonder how the royal family knows me since I'm sure it's my first time meeting them. They appear to know more about me than I do myself. I searched my memories to try and remember if I met with the royal family before. While I was tormenting myself, the king ask me to introduce myself but I didn't hear him. I realize that the king has asked me a question when Flora clears her throat.

-' Right sorry my king', I began, 'My name is Goard Nearm of the human realm'

-' We know who you are my dear boy', said the queen.

-' May I ask you how you know me?', I asked the king and queen, 'I'm pretty sure this is our first time meeting isn't it?'

-'No it isn't', said the king, ' Well I suppose that you won't remember us after what happened'

I was starting to get a headache.

-' May I get some explanations?' 'My head is starting to auto destruct'

-' I can't tell you anything but bear in mind that you will know after when you need to know', said the king.

-' Would you stay for dinner, Goard?',asked the queen.

-' I can't, I promise my grandparents that I will come home for dinner tonight'

-' Flora would you like to escort your guest out?', asked the king.

-' No, no it's fine, I know the way', I said.

-' Do you? it's the first time in here'

I thought for a moment. Do I know the way? the answer to that is no but I don't want to bother the royal family any further.

-' On second thought that would be deeply appreciated'

So the princess and I went back to the carriage pulled by horses to head straight back to the portal.

-' See you at school', I said to Flora after we were in front of the portal, 'You go back, I can walk back to the school to catch a carriage'

-Alright then, see you at school'

And I walk into the portal.
