As I slept the nightmare of my family didn’t happen, it’s not as common now but whenever I have a dream that’s all I see. The dream this time was different though.

This time it was like nothing I’d ever seen, I was in a palace more beautiful than anything I'd seen within the mines. I felt like I’d been there before but the memory was so faint I couldn’t tell.

Looking around I felt like I was actually in the room, standing ahead of me was a beautiful oak desk. Nothing but a book was sitting on top. I walked towards it and felt the animal leather upon the surface. Its bindings were a silver thread, not any title on the cover. I was mesmerized by the quality of it I didn't even notice the door open and close behind me. Not until I heard a man speak had I startled and turned around.

It was an older man with dark grey hair. I knew it was my father. He looked majestic, mighty and with an aura you knew he gave off the look that he was proud and respected.

"I said hello, son."

He was looking at me like the most precious thing in the world, a smile on his face.

He started talking with a deep tone.

“Son you are young now but when you grow older you will be the one who rules this land, and to do that you must perfect your birthright. A power given only to those of the Ava royal bloodline.”

He raised his hand with the palm up he put it towards me showing his hand, with nothing in it.

“Our family is blessed by God as rulers and caretakers of the people, it is our duty to keep the freedom and pride for the nation. It is our honor, our glory, our responsibility.”

As he says the last word he grips his fist, opening it again there is a black obsidian dagger, already sharpened.

“Never abuse your power or it will be your downfall. You must bring joy to the people and give them the lives they deserve.”

Shattering the dagger in his fist the dust swirls around his fingers winding in between each finger.

“One day you will learn of your power and how to use it, train diligently and daily. Hone your gift.”

Turning the black sand back into the dagger in front of my eyes. I gasp with awe.

“You will not think this is impressive when you learn how to master your own talent. Now romise me son never hurt anyone with it, protect the people, and show me that I raised a strong and beautiful son.”

With those words a tear falls from his face looking up at him I toss the book down and run to him and hug my father holding him as tightly as I could. Muttering softly.

"I promise father..."

Never wanting to let go I’m surrounded by the warmth of his body darkness covering everything not wanting to let go I cry into the dark then a voice, high pitched yelling that of a young girl, and a bright light blinding me starting to shine through the open window.

I attempt to open my eyes again, my father’s gone but with the morning sun rising I slowly blink and start to see who was yelling at me.

“Wake up, waaaaaakeeeee uppppp, WAKE UP!!”

Now fully aware the most gorgeous, beautiful, amazing cute girl I'd ever seen in my life was slapping my cheeks and yelling at me. Her well-kept dark brown hair flowing down her sides, and her soft blue eyes mesmerized I got lost in them. She didn't stop smacking my face though Now the pain starting to take over I cry out!

“Ow ow ow ow owowowowow , I’m up , IM UP!”

Screeching out I barely could say anything and she stopped.

“About time, we just saved your sorry behind from being hung. Nice try trynna raid a Royal Knight convoy. Freaking stupid ass.”

Looking around I’m in a small room with only the tiny mat I’m laying on inside. Ignoring her beauty I had other questions. Curious I ask the girl.

“So uhhh where am I?”

Looking at me she suddenly has a glint within her eye and a huge grin shows up on her face, damn this girl all I could think was; why was she so cute??

“We are located in the Shadow Rebellion's main base!”

Pounding her chest with a fist she sticks her chin up proud. This only leaves me more confused, what the heck is the Shadow Rebellion!!??
