"Wait, was that... a baby?" Isaac murmured to himself, his curiosity aroused. He cautiously approached the basket, his heart raced in his chest. As he drew nearer, the cries grew louder, tugging at his emotions.
Peering inside, he discovered a newborn swaddled in a white sheet. The baby's tiny face was red and streaked with tears. Without hesitation, he gently lifted the child, cradling them in his arms.
"He... He was the Emperor's son," he whispered in surprise. "The young master of the 'Davis family.'"
He observed the child when a holographic screen emerged in the air. He looked at it and tried to read what was displayed.

Isaac laughed in amazement as he read the screen. "Luck was on my side today," he murmured while trying to click on it. "He would be a dragonborn," he said with excitement. "Now no one could stop me from becoming immortal." As soon as his finger touched the screen, the system activated a protective protocol.
[Warning: Intruder Alert!]
It created a temporary barrier around the screen, visually manifesting as an energy field. As Isaac reached out to touch the glowing holographic screen, the air around him began to change. A soft breeze swirled, gently at first, but quickly picked up speed. Leaves danced in the air, caught up in the gusts that flowed directly from the screen. Shadows deepened, stretching across the ground like dark fingers. They shifted and moved, creating an eerie feeling that something was not quite right. The ground trembled slightly, sending little pebbles rolling away, as if the earth itself reacted to the intrusion. The force pushed him hard against the tree he stood under, making the bark scrape painfully along his back. He stumbled forward, barely managing to catch himself before falling over. Then, just as suddenly, the shadows vanished and he lay on empty ground once again. He coughed blood from his mouth, then stood, brushing dirt off himself. “Well… that was new. I guess I should wait for the child to grow up.” He looked down at himself and grimaced.
There was a small gash on the sleeve of his shirt where some rocks had scratched him earlier, which had already started to turn red. Not that it worried him too much; he picked up the book and tucked it under his sleeve, which fell when he stumbled. He walked back to the child and looked at him menacingly. He stood there, observing, when he sensed movement among the leaves nearby. He quickly picked up the baby and glanced at the moonlit foliage. A girl emerged, dressed in black and red. He noticed a tattoo on her exposed arm.
"Amelia Hayes? What were you doing here?" he asked, taken aback. The girl raised an eyebrow and smirked arrogantly, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Surprise! We met again, Isaac," a deep voice sounded near his ear. He swiftly turned around and saw Jack Lee standing behind him.
"The Ironhart Clan," he whispered.
"What did you want, Jack?" Isaac demanded, tightening his grip on the baby protectively.
Jack stepped in front of him, his eyes gleamed with malice, and his black robes billowed in the wind. "Clearly, not you," he sarcastically replied.

"Hand over the baby, Isaac; only then will we give you an easy death," Amelia said in her seductive voice.
Isaac glanced at the baby in his arms, then at Amelia. "It appeared that the baby possessed special powers. This meant he could truly assist me on my journey to immortality; I wasn't wrong about that," he thought, tightening his grip on the child.
"I would not allow you to harm this child," Isaac declared, his voice filled with determination. "I would protect him with my life."
Jack chuckled darkly, narrowing his eyes. "Did you not think that he would aid you in your cultivation?" he angrily widened his eyes. "Because I would not allow this to happen."
Without any warning, Amelia took a step forward, her eyes emitting an otherworldly glow. She reached out her hand, and a surge of dark energy crackled around her fingertips. The light grew in intensity until it almost hurt Isaac's eyes; even though he had never seen such power before, its raw destructive intent was unmistakable. The dark energy wrapped around Isaac's arm, burning into his skin, then traveled down his body, leaving behind a black mark and a burn pattern.
"I strongly advised you to surrender the child willingly," she hissed, her voice infused with an icy coldness. "Otherwise, we would forcefully take him."
Isaac groaned in pain, but his mind raced as he desperately searched for an escape from this perilous situation. He knew he couldn’t defeat the Ironhart Clan on his own. Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the clearing, causing the leaves to swirl around them. He scanned his surroundings but found nothing. Swiftly, he rolled his foot on the ground, channeling the wind into a swirling ball. With a grunt, he hurled the wind ball toward them and began to run.
Amelia scowled, her eyes narrowing in frustration. "Did you truly believe you could oppose us, Isaac? You were insignificant compared to the power of the Ironhart Clan!"
She was right; the Hayes from the Ironhart Clan had the system to tame scorpions. This clan possessed a rare and mysterious ancient scorpion bloodline within their bodies. On the other hand, Jack Lee was the sole descendant of the Lee family from the Flamecrest Clan that can tame Ojutai Brood Dragon. They were known for their expertise in martial arts and teleportation magic.
"Chase him; he's running," Amelia shouted. Jack obeyed her command and began running after him.
As they pursued Isaac, they suddenly halted at the sound of a noise. They witnessed a dagger slicing through the air and embedding itself into a tree a few yards away. Jack glared angrily at the tree and then turned his gaze towards the direction from which the dagger had been thrown.
