EPISODE2: ALEXA CHOOSE!!

Jake pulled Alexa closer to him, and said, “Hey, Alexa. This is Dave. He’s my neighbor.” He gave Dave a fake smile, and said, “Dave, this is Alexa. She’s my girlfriend.” He emphasized the word girlfriend, hoping to make Dave back off. He didn’t want anyone to interfere with his plan. He wanted to use Alexa to get back at Lesane, and he didn’t want to share her with anyone.

Alexa looked surprised, and said, “Your girlfriend? Jake, we just met today. We’re not dating.” She tried to free her wrist from Jake’s grip, but he held on tight. He whispered in her ear, “Just play along, okay? Trust me, it’s for the best.” He lied to her, making her think that he had a good reason for pretending to be her boyfriend. He didn’t. He only had a selfish motive, and he didn’t care about her feelings.

Dave looked confused, and said, “Your girlfriend? Really? I thought you were just friends. You didn’t seem to be that close.” He looked at Alexa, and said, “Are you okay with this, Alexa? Do you really like Jake?” He asked her, hoping to find out the truth. He liked Alexa, and he wanted to know if she liked him back. He didn’t trust Jake, and he didn’t think he was good for her.

Jake glared at Dave, and said, “Of course she likes me. Why wouldn’t she? I’m a great guy, and I treat her well. Right, Alexa?” He asked her, expecting her to agree with him. He wanted to convince Dave that he and Alexa were happy together, and that he had no chance with her. He wanted to make Dave jealous, and to make him give up on her.

Alexa looked at Jake, and then at Dave. She didn’t know what to say. She didn’t like Jake, but she didn’t want to hurt his feelings. She didn’t know Dave, but she felt a connection with him. She was confused, and scared. She didn’t know what Jake was up to.

"Ummm guys ..... I think I might have left something on the stove I gotta go" Alexa said hesitantly before yanking her hand from Jake's hand freeing herself from Jake's grip and walking to the girls hostel leaving Dave and jake once again in an awkward silence , both their minds working at overdrive trying to process how they had somehow went from being potential best friends to mortal enemies just over a girl .

"I'm gonna leave before things get any more awkward between us " Dave said as he turned around to leave and wanting to avoid any more unwanted collisions started jogging to his room ,leaving Jake all alone once again.

LEZO'S POV:

I had just moved into my hostel room with Tgirl, my new roommate. She was studying pharmacy along with me . We had met during orientation, and we had hit it off right away. She was friendly and outgoing, and I was shy and quiet. We complemented each other well, and I was glad to have her as my friend.

We had spent the day unpacking our bags and decorating our room. We had put up some posters and photos on the walls, and we had arranged our beds and desks to our liking. We had also gone to the cafeteria and the library, and we had met some of our neighbors. Everyone seemed nice and welcoming, and I was excited to start my college life.

We were lying on our beds, chatting and laughing, when we heard voices outside our door. We recognized one of them as Dave, a guy who lived in the same hostel. He was studying the same course, and he was very popular. He was tall dark and handsome, with dark hair and brown eyes. He had a lot of friends, and a lot of girls liked him. I had seen him around the campus, and I had a crush on him.

The other voice was unfamiliar to me, but it belonged to another guy. He had a deep and smooth voice, and he sounded friendly. He introduced himself as jake, a new guy in the hostel? . He was also studying pharmacy.

“Hey, tman, this is jake. He’s new here. He’s studying pharmacy just like us,” Dave said.

They chatted for a while, and I listened with curiosity. They seemed to get along well, and they talked about their classes and their hobbies. They both liked music and sports, and they had a lot in common, they continued chatting until tman got a call and for some weird reason sprinted away ....

But then, I heard another voice join the conversation. It was a girl’s voice, and it sounded familiar. I realized it was Alexa, the girl who lived next door to us. She was also studying Pharmacy, and she was Tgirl’s classmate. She was pretty and popular, with blonde hair and green eyes. She always had a smile on her face, and a lot of guys liked her.

“Hi, Alexa. Nice to meet you. You’re very pretty.” Dave said, complimenting her.

“Hi, Dave. I’m Alexa. Nice to meet you too,” Alexa said.

“Hey, Alexa. This is Dave. He’s my neighbor, Dave, this is Alexa. She’s my girlfriend.” Jake said with a hint of aggression that even I could hear from his voice .

“Your girlfriend? Jake, we just met today. We’re not dating.”Alexa said in a desperate tone almost as if trying to prove something but then suddenly she went quiet....

There was a pause, and I sensed some tension in the air. I wondered if Alexa and Jake were really dating, and if so, how Dave felt about it.

“ Are you okay with this, Alexa? Do you really like Jake ?” Dave asked.

“Of course she likes me. Why wouldn’t she? I’m a great guy, and I treat her well. Right, Alexa?”Jake also asked.

I held my breath, waiting for her answer. I wanted to know the truth, too.

Alexa hesitated, and I heard her sigh.

“ummm guys ......I think might have left something on the stove ” she said before leaving ,and soon after Dave also walked away ,or should I say ran away .

They walked away, leaving Jake alone. I heard him sigh, and I felt sorry for him. He sounded hurt and confused, and I wanted to comfort him. But I knew that would be wrong, and rude, and creepy. So I stayed in my room, and tried to focus on something else. But I couldn’t help wondering what jake and Alexa would say to each other. Would they define their relationship, or keep it vague? Would they be happy, or sad, or angry?........end of EPISODE 2
