The journal from another world.
So, I Woke Up in a Magical World…

So, I Woke Up in a Magical World…

Okay my name is Kiwi but, let me start by saying this wasn’t part of my five-year plan. One moment, I was living my normal life (probably scrolling on my phone or eating something unhealthy—don’t judge), and the next, BAM! I wake up face-down in a meadow that smells like sunshine and magic. I don’t even know what magic smells like, but trust me, it’s a thing.

When I finally sat up, wiping dirt and grass off my ass, I realized two things:

This is not Earth?

Someone apparently thought it would be hilarious to drop me in the middle of a meadow with zero instructions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But hey, at least I got a snazzy outfit out of it. My regular clothes were gone, replaced by what looked like a cross between an adventurer’s gear and something out of a fantasy cosplay convention. A leather journal was conveniently waiting next to me, glowing with some mysterious runes. Because why not, right? At this point, I was ready for Gandalf to pop out of a bush yelling, “You shall not pass!”

Before I could spiral into a full-blown panic, someone showed up—a guy with wolf ears and a tail. Yeah, you heard me. Wolf. Ears. And. Tail. Turns out, he’s a beastman, which apparently isn’t weird here. (I tried not to stare, but come on, it’s not every day you meet a guy who looks like he walked out of an anime.)

“First time in Krishara?” he asked, smirking like he’d seen a hundred other confused, isekai’d schmucks like me. He introduced himself as Fenric and told me I was in the Kingdom of Krishara, a land filled with dragons, elves, dwarves, demons (more on them later), and a bunch of other fantastical creatures that apparently just vibe together.

“Oh, and watch out for the swamp,” he added casually. “The shadow-demons can be grumpy if you step on their alchemy experiments.”

...Good to know.

I’m not sure why or how I ended up here, but if I’m going to survive (and hopefully not make a complete fool of myself), I figure I might as well roll with it. Tomorrow, I’ll head to the capital city, Solkris, because apparently, that’s where all the cool stuff happens. Maybe I’ll figure out my purpose here. Or maybe I’ll trip over a dragon. Who knows? Either way, this journal’s coming with me, because if I don’t write this all down, no one back home would ever believe me.

Until then, here’s to not dying in a magical world. Cheers.
