Captured

"Ugh… where have they taken me now?” Kali had no idea where she was. You see, she was an Inhuman, a special variant of human created by Terragen after the Avengers disbanded. Her kind were treated like they were the spawn of the devil himself, and were constantly hounded by AIM, to “cure” them. But after being taken, not even a single Inhuman had been released. Kali was blonde, black eyed and tall, with a toned body from first being a kendo practitioner and then spending a few months on the run. She was hiding out in the Amazon forest, but AIM somehow found her.

(Flashback)

Kali was fleeing through a thick rainforest, leaving her comfy little treehouse far, far behind. Her life was ruined, now that AIM had found her. She sighed. Well, just another home torn apart. Goodbye, Norse mythology books…She’d just have to find someplace even more isolated-haaa… no. She was tired of running.

For years, AIM had forced her on the run, preventing Kali from ever settling down. She’d have to stand and fight. Well, she might not win, she wasn’t exactly the best at frontline combat, but she wasn’t going down without a fight.

She found an isolated Elite Peacekeeper on a small hill, and she slipped into action. Kali’s power allowed her to have some telekinesis and telepathy, make fully corporal copies of herself with none of the original’s powers, and create golden flames that only burned what she wanted it to. She used it to go invisible, though this was draining, and force her target to start shooting everywhere. Kali also created a few clones to add to the general chaos, but eventually her pawn was tackled down, as she began to try and sneak towards a Dreadbot to try and take out some of the heavier weapons while the rest were distracted.

But just as Kali was right up against its chassis, unfortunately, the Dreadbot’s exhaust blew at the worst possible time, and the shock of the fire in her face forced her out of invisibility for a few moments. She was only singed, but an AIM Peacekeeper spotted her and shot one of their beams into Kali’s shoulder. Now that hurt, and as she was knocked down and stunned from the sheer force of the particle beam, a Prime Synthezoid tried to smash one of their truncheons onto her. She rolled aside and blasted it with a bolt of her fire. A second Prime Synthezoid struck her with its weapon and sent her flying into a gravity well created by an Adept Adaptoid. Kali was unable to struggle free, physical strength was never her strong suit, and the pounding she had taken earlier wasn’t helping matters. While she floated in the zero-G well, a particularly brave Peacekeeper clamped a pair of manacles around her hands, and a collar for her neck. Kali felt her power drain, alongside any chance of turning the tables.

"Well boys," Kali sighed, "You've got me. Now what are you going to do with me?"
