Ch 10 His Parents aren't simple

"User scanned - Quinn Moore. Access denied. Access has been restricted by Helena Moore. Quinn Moore can only use from 7pm to 9 pm."

After that, the light vanished, and an awkward silence prevailed.

Everyone was dumbfounded as they were eagerly waiting, and their access was brutally denied by a stupid Television.

But no one dared to mock Helena, not after her longevity soup.

Then suddenly, loud laughter echoed through the room, the laughter became louder with every passing second. Helena felt like digging hole to bury her head in embarrassment.

After seeing the person who was laughing, Quinn was stunned silly.

Emma was the one laughing, strangely this time she was not indifferent and cold like usual she was laughing like a real human. Emma was always with them; it's just that she will always keep quiet that one would subconsciously ignore her.

Quinn always assumed Emma to be an android with the lowest- level A.I. But the moment she started to laugh; she looked more humane than any human around.

He was aware that an android with in-built A.I. was very costly. So he believed that his parents spent a fortune to get an android with the most basic A.I.

Quinn learned a thing or 2 about androids from a regular customer of their restaurant. Androids are of two types with A.I., and without A.I. the latter is obviously more expensive.

In fact, an android with the most basic A.I. is costlier than their restaurant; the latest version of A.I. available in the market is A.I. v2.0. Even if the whole Peace River city is sold, a single A.I. v2.0 can't be bought.

He has seen an android A.I. v2.0 in the video shown by the customer once. Emma seemed to be more advanced than A.I. v2.0, Quinn had a headache thinking about Emma's worth.

The only thing that stopped Quinn from asking about Emma was his faith in his parents and his current identity.

The reaction from the Storage Ring served as a right trigger to disclose about his Basic soul. So he used this opportunity to inform his parents, mixed truth and lies to make an appropriate elucidation of how he formed his Basic Soul.

With everything in the track, he didn't want his curiosity to spoil all his hard work.

His suspicion about their real identity grew was gradually strengthening. Recently there are a couple of mysterious things going on - First the black storage ring, then his mystical Grandpa and now Emma a high tech android.

He even felt that his entire new life was a fake one or there are many things his parents were hiding from him. But he did not ask them as he believed that they will inform him when at the right time.

While Quinn pondering about Emma; his mom's face turned red in embarrassment, and she stared daggers at Andre as if blaming him for Emma's laughter. Blake sympathized with Andre, but he could only helpless shrug his shoulders.

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

"Emma shut up and get out of my sight." Andre ordered angrily.

"Sorry master it was too funny that I couldn't control myself. Sorry Mistress.hehehe…"

Then she went outside holding, covering her mouth and giggling. Seeing all this, Quinn thought 'This wasn't really that funny, and Grandpa's situation was even more hilarious.'

What Quinn didn't know was that Emma anticipated Blake's situation and turned off her face reaction sensors to prevent herself from laughing out aloud. After Emma went out, Helena overwrote restriction and played the requested recording.

The next hour, an old man and young couple earnestly watched the animation without taking their off the screen. The little kid was rolling his eyes at their stupidity, he never expected they would watch the show for 2 hours straight.

Obviously, no could find anything special about the cartoon, and thus they were convinced that they had a monster for a son or grandson.

'I'm really getting old.' Blake thought while silently observing the little monster next to him.

After finishing a grant lunch, all of them got into a hovercar. After 10 minutes of travel, they reached a crowded place.

It was a Gigantic tube-shaped building made of Pale Azure stone. The surface of the wall was crude and porous; the walls were radiating blue florescent light.

The stone building was like a mirage flickering from time to time. Before entering the building, Andre warned his son not to talk inside the building and then advised him to follow whatever Blake said. Helena had an affectionate smile and urged him to take care of himself.

When they entered the building, Quinn noticed a peculiar thing, the whole building was too silent. When Quinn tried to enquire what was going to his mother, she told him to keep quiet with signs.

Inside the azure building, another black cylindrical structure caught his attention.

Unlike the azure building, the walls of the black cylinder were smooth. Rather being shiny, the walls were just deep black, absorbing all light.

One could feel that all the blue fluorescent light being absorbed by the wall making the whole place slightly dim.

The Black structure was their destination, and the azure building was just an outer shell.

Then they made their way through the crowd to the stone building and stood in a queue. The queue was from the outer azure wall till the white door in the Black wall.

They had to wait another hour before their turn; an old lady was sitting on a chair giving out badges. The badges were made out of a strange jelly-like substance. Even collecting badges were only done by sign language.

Blake made a set of complicated symbols for getting the badges before showing a golden card.

After collecting the badges, we made our way to the door that few meters away. The door let them to the large circular hall where all the people were gathered.

Inside the black cylindrical structure, the top was open, and he was able to see the azure dome. It was the dome of the outer building; the inner building's top was open. Once they reached the hall, Andre broke the silence.

"It's been so many years since we came here."

*sigh* Andre was reminiscing about his past, but Quinn totally misunderstood it.

'If they were rarely visiting such places, it means my parents are really poor or normal but then what about Emma and the storage ring. Ahhhh... It's driving me crazy.' Quinn could figure the truth about his parents.

Actually once a person reaches Deity realms in cultivation they could teleport on their own powers; Helena, Andre and Blake were all beyond the realms of Deity so it none of took teleportation station for travelling.

The only reason they were here is due to Quinn. As Quinn was too small to bear the pressure of teleportation. Or else Blake would have directly taken Quinn to his home.

"Who came with this idiotic rule, it’s to stay silent in that Azure Zone. Quinn, you must remember careful whenever you enter Teleport Station stay silent in the Azure Zone."

'How could possibly complain about a rule and advise to follow the same in the same sentence.'

Quinn mentally complained about his mom for being inconsistent.

‘Wait.. did she just tell teleportation station… So we can even teleport.'

He was even dumbfounded and silently nodded; Quinn was just too stunned to barrage his parents with questions.

Blake found seats for them, and they waited there till their azure badges glowed.
