Chapter 19: Elite Demons Meeting

Chapter 19: Elite Demons Meeting

The next morning…

Sol was nowhere to be seen.

Looking down from the top of the castle wall, the demon soldiers didn’t see any sign of Sol.

“Do you see him?”

“Nope.”

“Hmm, did he finally give up?”

“It’s only been a day, I don’t think he would give up that easily.”

“Stop talking and keep your guard up! He might be sleeping right now and probably come at us again when he wakes up.”

“Err… for your info, that guy never gets tired, so I don’t think he’s sleeping at all…”

“Every living being needs energy to function, if he doesn't rest, then he won't have energy to do anything.”

“Yes, but that guy is different, he’s a monster…”

Not all the demon soldiers knew about Sol’s power, some do, and some don’t.

As the demon soldiers were chatting, meanwhile, behind the castle Sol crawled out from the hole he dug.

“Finally…!”

Once outside the hole, Sol scanned his surroundings to make sure he was safe and thankfully no one spotted him yet.

‘Looks like they haven’t found me yet, that’s good.’

As someone who has worked as a butler in this castle before, naturally, Sol was very familiar with the castle and knows almost every inch of it.

It didn’t take long for Sol to sneak into the castle. Once inside the castle, he slowly made his way to the kitchen and thankfully at this time, there was no one here except him.

‘Phew! That was close, I almost got caught there.’

With this, Sol locked the kitchen door and proceeded with his next plan by putting a small portion of poison into the food. After all, all these foods in the kitchen will be served to the Elite Demons later.

Not too long later, the demon cooks and chefs arrived, but they couldn’t enter the kitchen because the door was locked.

Hearing they had arrived, Sol quickly hid in the food storage room quietly.

“What’s going on?”

“It seems like it’s locked.”

“Locked?”

“Hurry up! Someone go get the key.”

A short while later, they unlocked the door and finally entered the kitchen.

In order to torture the Elite Demons slowly, Sol only put a small amount of poison into the food. It’s estimated with this tiny amount of poison, it would take roughly a few hours before the Elite Demons would start to see the effect.

While hiding in the food storage room, Sol was laughing inwardly, ‘Hehe, I bet those Elite Demons didn’t expect to see this coming.’

Half an hour later…

In the big meeting room, the 8 Elite Demons were sitting down together and having a meeting.

According to the information they have received from the demon doctors, it terrified them when they realized the poison Sol was using was Diamond-Rank level. That was why they chose to shut down the castle gate immediately as they didn’t want to take the risk.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

At the moment, they’re having a discussion and trying to come up with a plan on how to deal with Sol. For the first time, they acknowledged Sol’s power and took it seriously.

Meanwhile, during this time, their food arrived. So they paused the meeting temporarily to enjoy their breakfast first without realizing their food had been poisoned.

At this time, slowly and quietly, Sol sneaked his way out of the kitchen and headed to the underground prison. On his way to the underground prison, he made sure to kill all the prison guards silently without giving them a chance to scream for backup or help.

After getting rid of all the prison guards in the underground prison, using this chance, he freed all the human slaves and told them to head behind the castle and use the hole to escape. In order to not accidentally kill the human slaves with his poison, he made sure to suppress the poison inside his body.

It was at this time, Sol decided to reveal himself to the demons to distract and buy time for the human slaves to escape safely. Thanks to Sol causing havoc inside the castle, the demons didn’t notice the slaves were escaping since all their attention was on Sol.

Meanwhile, in the meeting room, a demon guard came rushing in to inform the Elite Demons regarding Sol’s appearance inside the castle.

“What??!!”

The Elite Demons were shocked and couldn’t believe what they heard.

However, the Elite Demons didn’t panic, because they know as long as they don’t get too close to Sol, they will be fine.

15 minutes later…

Sol was trapped in the castle hallway and had nowhere left to go. He couldn’t move front or back because there were walls made out of thick layers of ice and naturally, he wasn’t powerful enough to destroy the ice walls and escape.

“Hahaha! You’re trapped now, kid!” [Calcius]

Calsius, an Elite Demon who specialized in Ice magic, and he was the one who made the ice walls in the hallway to trap Sol.

‘Well, if I can’t go anywhere, then I’ll just chill here and wait for the poison to kill them.’ Sol thought.

With this, on the floor, Sol got into a lying down position and with his two hands behind his head, he closed his eyes and relaxed.

“Hmm, what is he doing? He gave up?”

“It seems like he’s sleeping.”

“Sleeping?! Are you serious, at this time?”

Hearing that they are talking about him, Sol chuckled, ‘Idiots! I’m not sleeping, I’m just chilling.’

“Terasia, I’ll leave everything to you from here.”

“No problem.”

Without delay, Terasia, who was a Necromancer, summoned 4 Stone Golems to capture Sol.

‘Ah right… I forgot this bitch is a necromancer. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too late to stop me now.’ [Sol]

Had they sent Terasia instead of Cerbarus to capture Sol, the situation would’ve been much better for them. Unfortunately, at that time, they were too cocky and didn’t see Sol as a threat to take it seriously. And now, it was too late because the poison had already entered their bodies, and soon in a matter of time, they will experience hell that they never experienced before.

Meanwhile, when Sol knew he can’t run away, he willingly let the Stone Golems capture him without resisting.

“Oh, you’re not resisting like usual, huh?” [Terasia]

“Resist?” Sol laughed evilly, “There’s no need because I’ve already won and you guys lost.”

“We lost? What are you talking about?”

“Don’t worry, in a few hours from now, you’ll know what I mean.”

“Ha! You're trying to scare us, huh? Nice try, we ain’t falling for your lie.” [Zealot]

Not long later, Sol was locked up alone in the underground prison and those human slaves who tried to escape earlier were captured back as well. However, Sol wasn’t too worried since he knew it was just a matter of time before the poison would start showing its effect.

Sure enough, a few hours later, the 8 Elite Demons started showing symptoms, such as coughing, difficulty breathing, diarrhea, nausea, and many more. It was agonizing, so painful to the point that they wanted to cry so badly.

“That bastard!!!” Terasia suddenly remembered what Sol said to her earlier.

“Fuck!! How?! Just how did we get poisoned?! Dammit!”

“I don’t know… but I suspect it’s most likely the food we ate earlier for breakfast…”

“Son of a bitch! Argh! I can’t accept this!”

The Elite Demons were furious, but unfortunately, it was too late now and there was nothing they could do about it.

Naturally, the doctors are trying their best to make an antidote to counter the poison, but that would take some time and the Elite Demons would most likely be dead by then.

“Goddammit! Ask the doctors to hurry up!!”

“Yes… Master!” said one of the demon soldiers.

Without any delay, the demon soldiers started pressuring the demon doctors to make the antidote faster.

Meanwhile, in the underground prison, Sol was smirking evilly as he already knew what was happening to the Elite Demons.

With both his hands and feet chained up, there was no way he could escape as of right now. Thus he came up with his next plan to deceive the prison guards that were standing outside his cell.

With this, he lied and said to the prison guards, “Hey, both of you over there! If you let me out of here, I might tell you guys the recipe on how to make the antidote. So what do you think? Wanna make a deal with me right now?”

Since their masters are dying, they will certainly be tempted and would most likely accept Sol’s offer.
