The Ides of March
Juno's Protection

Juno's Protection

Lacey

I sit in my room and think about life. I have no friends and I'm stuck here in my room until my parents come home. God, why do bad things always happen to me. I sigh and rub my forehead. I open my desk to check for the key again. Maybe I missed it, wouldn't be first for me. I rummage around and find some gum, a baseball, one sock, three pens, and a smooshed candy bar. I guess I'll have to live off gum and candy bars until my parents get home.

Why was my door locked anyway? I never lock my door. Also who thought having doors lock from the outside is smart. I didn't even bring my phone with me so I can't watch YouTube... or do my homework but that isn't really that important. I have sooo many things to do. To bad I'm going to lay here in my bed wallowing in despair until my parents come back and let me out.

I open the gum wrapper and take a piece off. Mhm, I love watermelon. I use my hand to push off the desk and spin around on my chair. What else do I need to to? I have the math sheet, two chapters of the textbook, a google form on periodic elements,...Oh! I wanted to make a friendship bracelet for Jeanie. I should start on that first because it's obviously the most important. I walk over to my shelves and pull out some bundles of yarn. I love pretty colors especially when they all come together and I love arts and crafts.

I take out three different shades of yellow and get to work, my fingers expertly tying and knotting the string together.
