I stopped the fall of the serious pup’s Metal Golem. It was sent flying by the dwarf’s Rock Golem in a quite surprising way, since we were pretty certain that after using my gravity spell, this girl, Qin Yue, would’ve been able to finish off the short one. But the Rock Golem used my own Gravity Ball to empower one of its own rocks and slam it on the Metal Golem.
There was a soldier right under the path of the Metal Golem. He managed to survive… but my own aura caused the man to pass out as I held it up. Thankfully, there was one of those Holy Knights around here, and I just asked her to get the soldier out of here as fast as she could.
“Hey!” I shouted, since I didn’t want to be hand holding this pup’s toy anymore. “Get this thing moving already!”
As if that was the magic word to move the Metal Golem, it quickly floated up and back on its feet. I thought that the serious-looking girl inside the golem would’ve said something about it, since there was something in the way that she looked at me that made me think she had something stuck in her teeth, but she just moved the golem back in the direction of the Rock Golem.
With loud, stomping steps, her Metal Golem destroyed trees and sent mud, grass and leaves flying everywhere, and after a couple of leaps, she jumped into the air with her silvery blade held up high and ready to strike. I dashed a short distance, before jumping into the air and flying after her.
However, right as she was about to strike the Rock Golem, this one lifted its box-like arms to the front and the Metal Golem stopped mid air. There was a dark and purple aura coming out of its hands, and it was easy to tell that it was Gravity Magic being used… It was just like the one that I knew!
“Thank ye girl!” the dwarf’s voice resounded from the Rock Golem. “Ye really showed me how to do this!”
There was no way that he learned how to do it just from me using it on him. But looking at it, I couldn’t deny it. Hmmm… This just made me want to try even harder! So with a wide smirk directed at the Rock Golem, I burst ahead. If he thought he could play with this wolf, then I was going to show him what happens when one bites down!
He redirected one of the arms that he was using to keep the Metal Golem in the air and pointed it at me. The gravitational field turned on me and I was pushed back slightly, but this was my magic! This is part of my strength! And what this dwarf doesn’t know is that gravity can be used on anything that has matter on it, and especially more so on myself!
So by using that very same magic on my body, the gravity field that was trying to push me away started losing that strength, and I started pushing myself further down and down, ever closer to the Rock Golem with my fist ready to break through it.
“Hng!” the dwarf’s exclaimed with a strained voice, trying to push more mana into the spell, but there was nothing he could do about me!
Then, as if realizing there was more that she could do, from the eyes of the Metal Golem, a beam of pure mana was fired. It was quite a powerful beam, hitting the arm of the Rock Golem, but there was no damage done to it, as only a few rocks flew away. It was enough to distract the dwarf and force it to both lose focus on the spell, and drop the arm to the side.
The gravity field lessened on me, and like a boulder coming from the top of a mountain, I crashed on the Rock Golem’s chest. Rocks and dirt flew everywhere after I punched, but a hole wasn’t enough to reach the short man. So with my claws, I continued carving on the Rock Golem’s chest, pulling away rocks and even a few tree roots in the process.
“Hey! Get yer furry ass off me!” the dwarf shouted and I looked up. He was somewhere in the golem’s head.
That Qin Yue girl must’ve noticed my gaze as well, since right after I looked up, an enormous metal spear pierced right through the Golem’s head. I heard the dwarf exclaim and a piece of rock fell on me, but I simply swiped it away, only to come face to face with the bearded short man.
He looked surprised for a moment, and I just smirked at my prey coming straight to me. I reached with my claws to tear that bushy beard away from his face, but in that moment, he blew wind from his mouth, and a cloud of brown dusty dirt came from it. I was momentarily blinded and forced to cough—more so from the disgusting idea that all of that dirt that just fell on top of me was from his insides.
The dwarf, however, took that opportunity to land a heavy fist of rocks on top of me, before creating a large pillar of rocks from the inside of the Rock Golem that forced me out of the hole I was carving.
I quickly cleaned away the dirt that was on my face while I was flying in the air and turned my attention to Rock Golem getting further away from me. The dwarf was standing in the middle of the hole, stretching his large hand my way. He was about to use the dirt that remained on me to crush me, but that was already something he tried before, and if it didn’t work on that girl, it wasn’t going to work on me.
While he tried to do that, the girl in the Metal Golem wasted no time to punch straight into the open hole where the dwarf was standing.
In the split second that this all happened, the dirt on me turned to needles that tried to pierce all over my body, a wall quickly raised to cover the hole, and the Metal Golem’s fist crashed with it, creating a shockwave that swayed the trees around it and sent the Rock Golem flying some distance away
The needles were a foolish idea, since it would take more than this to pierce my body. In the end, all they did was bother me, and with a quick flexing of my muscles, they were all turned to dust that was washed away by the rain and the wind.
The Metal Golem, on the other hand, burst ahead after a couple of rounded bits appeared on its back, creating what appeared to be a mana propulsion spell. I couldn’t understand why that Qin Yue pup was so focused on using such a bothersome Golem… but as long as it could push down the Rock one, then I should be able to crush it.
In the same time that the Rock Golem was falling to the ground, the Metal Golem closed in on it. The Rock Golem was wide open while in the air, and yet, the dwarf wasn’t willing to give up, as a pillar popped out of the lower part of the Rock Golem and pierced the ground, before the whole thing was retracted, immediately pulling the Rock Golem to the ground.
The Metal Golem’s sword cut through air, again, before quickly turning to look down at the Rock Golem that was forcing that very pillar that brought it back to the ground to pass through its whole body and turn into a spear. The spear exploded from the top of the Rock Golem’s boxy head and went straight to the Metal Golem’s ass.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
But I was still here, and there was no reason to allow an ally to be pierced, so I pushed ahead with as much speed as I could muster and punched the large Rock Spear in the air, breaking it apart and sending the two pieces flying in the same direction I was going.
I was still going at a high speed, so I had to force myself to stop and turn mid air some distance away from where the golems were, the two pieces of sharp rocks flying by me and crashing with a few trees away from where I was.
The Metal Golem created a mana propulsion spell right on top of its head, and like the Rock Golem before it, it threw itself down, the sword pointed down at the Rock Golem. This time, instead of pushing it back with a Gravity Spell, the Rock Golem decided to go into a brawl, throwing its box-like fists ahead to punch at the falling Metal Golem.
It seemed like the dwarf was going to allow the golem to fight by itself, since from the middle of the Rock Golem’s chest, I saw a small opening from where the dwarf was creating magic. He was creating a small gravity field to push back the Metal Golem slightly, while with the other hand he was creating sharp spikes of rocks that were being launched at the Metal Golem.
It was impossible for those rocks to pierce the Metal Golem, but somehow, he was able to hit the same spot every time, and just as fast as he was doing all of that, a dent was being formed on the Metal Golem’s frame. I had to hurry and aid that girl, so I once more flew as fast as I could to the Rock Golem.
The air broke around me, and in the last second before I made contact with the Rock Golem, the dwarf turned a calm look to me. Instantly, one of those rock spikes appeared right under my belly. I was surprised to see that the dwarf was still paying attention to me, and with widened eyes, I was hit right under my rib cage.
“Kah!” I let out as air came out of my lungs and I was sent crashing into the Metal Golem, the rock spear exploding as soon as I hit the metal.
What a mistake on my part… but…
But that was it! I was going to stop playing nice with both of these golems! If I allowed this dwarf to get away with this, he was going to kill, and nothing was going to be done if I didn't do it!
Rage filled me, and my vision’s edges turned red. The beast in me was tired of this and I was already done with following ‘the plans’ and doing things ‘the right way’, only to end up losing more than I wanted.
With my arms pumping as much blood and mana as they could handle, and the veins popping on top of my skin, I reached to the metal that composed the Metal Golem. My claws pierced right through the metal like it was paper, and in one quick motion, I ripped a piece right out of it.
“Hey!” exclaimed that Qin Yue pup. “What is the meaning of this! I thought that we were—”
“AARRGHHH!” I loudly shouted, and with a powerful growl, I reached for another piece of the Metal Golem.
What good was that stupid golem if you couldn’t properly use it as a weapon?
So with my claws firmly placed on the metal, and another powerful shout, I brought the whole thing down with me. My mind was filled with rage, but that didn’t mean that my combat instincts were gone, so on top of using my body’s strength to move that annoying piece of metal, I empowered my swing with a Gravity Spell that forced the whole thing to crash down on the Rock Golem and the dwarf.
Qin Yue yelped and I heard a piece of metal at the top of the Metal Golem explode, but none of that mattered to me as I forced the whole thing down. An explosion sent shockwaves all over the jungle, a dome of water that stopped the rain momentarily was formed, and muddy ground lifted up to the sky.
The Metal Golem destroyed the Rock Golem right under me.
But I still didn’t know if my prey was gone, so with my red-filled vision, I searched for the dwarf; for the little man's scent. There was dust and mud everywhere, but there was no way to hide from my senses. Somewhere in the middle of the crater was the dwarf.
Almost immediately I noticed a dome of thick golden rocks in the middle, and I followed the dwarf's scent, down to it. If there was somewhere to hide, it was there. I dropped myself to the ground, falling as fast as both my magic and my gravity spells would allow me, going straight for the dome.
As soon as I made contact with it, however, the cowardly dwarf dug deeper. He was trying to get away! No way! I was going to dig him up, no matter how much and how far away he tried to go.
The dome exploded, and I went down to the ground, clawing with my hands at it and throwing as many hard rocks to the side as I could, trying to break trough the rocks that were keeping me away from the man's scent. Even if I couldn't see him, I knew what he was doing. He was actively creating more layers to keep me away.
“You won’t be getting away from me!” I loudly growled, and yet, despite my powerful movements, he was slowly turning to the side, and away from me.
“Let me help,” Qin Yue said from some distance away from me in the air, but I didn’t bother looking at her.
All the metal pieces that were torn to shreds moved on their own. There were plenty of them, but I didn’t understand what this girl was planning to do with them. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize when they turned into a metallic dome, not much larger than the original Metal Golem.
Still, I kept digging as far as I could, and while doing so, the shadow of the dome covered me. Then… it was suddenly dropped on me! Was this pup trying to capture me?! I turned to look up at the dome, my eyes furious and my hands stopping momentarily to tear someone else to pieces instead, but before I did anything, the dome quickly shifted in the air and buried itself into the ground.
“Argh!” the muffled voice of the dwarf painfully exclaimed, and I turned my eyes back down to him.
The dome had cut off any direction for the dwarf to dig away—at least as long as the dwarf wasn’t able to manipulate metal. Not wasting this opportunity, I dug my claws to the ground and started pulling more hard rocks away and to the air.
Soon enough, I was going to have my prey.
The dwarf also recovered from the metal dome cutting him off, and he tried his best to move it away by using magic, but it seemed he wasn’t quite as nimble when it came to metal manipulation as the Qin Yue pup, so with my senses focused on the little man buried underground, I kept going.
“Hah! Hah! Hah!” I heaved as I kept going, and eventually, I pulled away the final chunk of rocks keeping me away from my prey.
“Ah!” exclaimed the little dwarf, eyes wide and hands stuck on a deformed metal piece. “Now hold on a second! Ye don’t want to do this to someone like me! There’s still plenty of—Arg!”
I interrupted him by using my claw to pierce right through the man’s abdomen, in the exact same spot he hit me before. Blood filled my arm, but between my red eyes and the desire to get my prey, I simply pulled it out and kept going. An arm was ripped away, a piece of flesh flew to the side, and my blood-pumped fist buried into a messy beard.
“Hey! Stop that!” the Qin Yue pup shouted, but I kept going. “You’ve already killed him! What the hell are you doing?!”
Getting my prey, obviously, so I kept going.
Eventually there was nothing but a pool under my feet. Must’ve been the rain, though that didn’t explain where my prey went, so with a quick motion I looked around. I found the Qin Yue girl who carried a rather mortified expression on her face, but that wasn’t what I was looking for, so I turned away from her and looked at the ground once more. Maybe the dwarf was trying to dig his way out once more, but… there was nothing here save for…
Oh no…! I quickly tried to regain myself once more, shaking my head several times and taking deep breaths.
I had gone Berserk. Not a good idea, and not something I would’ve ever done in my life, since it could consume the mind of a Beastkin and completely turn them into a mindless beast. Why did I allow myself to do that?
“Urgh…!” I let out as I calmed my breath and my blood pressure lowered.
Perhaps… I should talk to someone about this… So with my head turned in the direction that Althea and that stupid skeleton went, I considered her words when I saw her a few days ago, and the worry that she had about my anger.
With a sigh, I looked down and allowed the rain to fall on me once more.
I might need to do something about this.
