Cielo comfortably leaned back in his chair and slyly peered towards the door.
“Today should be the day.” He thought to himself as he reached for a pack of gum in his pants pocket. Soon after, he heard a loud knocking on the door.
“Heh, Took her long enough.” He mumbled to himself as sharp and precise claws appeared from behind his back and darted through the air, breaking the wind. They latched onto the door handle, ripping it open while he was busy unwrapping his gum and popping it in his mouth. Skye stood outside the door dumbfounded before snapping back to reality and walking in as if nothing had happened. Skye slowly walked towards Cielo and pressed her knee against his leg, Leaning towards his face. She was close enough that Cielo could feel her warm breath brushing against his cheek. He barely flinched however, A slight grin formed on his face.
“I never thought we’d be able to find a true use for ourselves in this cruel world.” She whispered into his ear before a Violent wind blew across his face, leaving his bangs covering his eyes. She was left leaning even closer with a large pair of Traditional devil wings sprouting from her back.
“It’s about time we start the hunt.” She whispered, Now even closer to his face.
“I observe you are forgetting something.” Skye jumped at the voice coming from behind her before backing away from Cielo.
“Oh, Jay . . . I forgot you . . . Existed, For a minute.”
“Worry not, I was merely allowing you to recollect your uniforms.” Jay said, Stale as always. Skye giggled a little.
“Those? weren’t those the things we made in like, Middle school?” Skye asked, In a mostly joking manner.
“But I implore you, they are of the highest quality.” Skye pouts a little at this statement.
“Don’t you ever feel a little nostalgic? They should still fit fine enough.” Cielo said in a calm and somewhat disinterested voice, still chewing his gum.
“I-I mean, He makes a point, But they looked so eccentric.” She groans as her wings dematerialize. They didn’t serve much of a point now, Or even to begin with.
“Fine I’ll wear the stupid costume.” She grabbed her uniform off the table and walked oddly defeatedly towards the window and in a single confident leap jumped out into the dark night. Moments afterwards a gust of wind burst into the room as she flew upwards and onto the roof.
“It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve even seen these.” Cielo said as he took his shirt off and threw it on the floor.
“Skye was right, I can’t imagine what we were thinking when we were first designing these. They look so eccentric. Not that that’s a bad thing per say.
A minute or two later the room went silent. Cielo was sitting with his legs crossed in the same chair. He was wearing two brand-less baseball caps on top of each other. The top one was red, But the one under it, While partially obscured, was light blue. The top hat had a small pair of cosmetic angel wings sprouting out the top. He had a firm cloak-like object falling back behind his legs like a long skirt. It was reminiscent of having an oversized hoodie wrapped around your waist. He was wearing a crop-top-like shirt. It wasn’t extremely revealing but it cut off after a certain point. Generally, His entire getup was a shade of burgundy.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
He glanced over at Jay.
“So what do you think about your getup?” Cielo asked.
“Bizarrely comfortable to say the least.” Jay was standing in front of Cielo in a dark black elastic outfit that had a downward incline in the shoulder area in a way so that the outfit covered his right shoulder, but not the left. He was wearing equally dark eye-liner with mascara drizzling down from it and bright red broken heart ear-rings on both of his ears.
“A look like this will increase the inherent boldness of my character, '' Jay said while eyeing his top.
“Yeah, Whatever you say, Jay.” Cielo said while peering out the window
“On a continuous note, My curiosity for Skye has grown larger, Shouldn’t she have returned at this point in time?”
“Nah, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s about done soon. Assuming that all she’s doing is changing, She never even said where she went.”
Timidly, a knock was heard at the door. Soon after, Skye quickly swiped the door open and peeped in through the crack before popping her entire body in.
She was wearing a light burgundy color similar, if not exactly the same as Cielo’s. It was a custom hoodie that a hole in the back for her wings to come out of. She was wearing dark red lipstick and eye-liner. Her hoodie had around three or four leather straps wrapping around her at all sorts of angles, Even though it didn’t seem to serve much purpose. She was carrying a small but sharp and well polished kunai knife in one hand and had the other hand resting in her pocket.
“S-So, What do you guys think? Skye stood in front of Cielo and Jay, Blushing a little.
“It’s a little tight but it still fits.”
“I think we all look great, It’s really fun looking back at all of this.”
A moment of silence fell over the group.
“So now what? We just burned a lot of valuable time. Should we change out of these?” Skye said, Noticeably wanting to start moving.
“Man, You guys don’t know how to have any fun. The point was for us to wear these, I don’t wanna take the time for Jay to wash all the makeup off his face.” Cielo said smugly.
“You better change fast then, Cause I’m already leaving.” Cielo chanted while slowly prancing towards the door.
“Mmm, Fine.” Skye said while dashing towards the window and Materializing her wings. She jumped out and hovered in place.
“You seriously didn’t think you were fooling anybody, right?” Cielo deeply chuckled and let out a loud;
‘Whelp!” Before beginning to march towards Skye, who was still outside the window, Fluttering her wings.
“Just come with me already.” Skye said.
“Where, out the window?” Cielo jokingly said while leaning against the wall, his eyes focused on Skye.
“C-Come on, I’m strong . . . Just grab onto me. M-my leg. Grab onto my leg . . . Or something. She said, her face a little red.
Cielo looked at her, as if he was trying not to laugh, But quickly complied. Jay attached himself to Cielo, wrapping both of his arms around his waist.
“Oh yeah, You exist . . .” Skye quietly muttered to herself before taking off into the night sky.
“You know, I never gave a name to my spirit.” Cielo said.
“The deadly precision and dark claws.” He smirked to himself.
“Venom.”
