Leila & Shersha
Leila and Shersha began wandering around the city aimlessly. They had no money and no idea what to do. “Maybe we shud ‘av stuk wi’ Zeana?” Leila said hesitantly.
“No, we can do things ourselves. We jist nade somethin’ we can both agree on.”
The two thought for a moment when they both snapped their fingers and said, “Let’s go shoppin’!”
Then they both paused as something else hit them, and they asked each other, “Wi’ wha’ money though?” they pouted as they instantly remembered they didn’t have any money.
“What’s got you two cuties all glum?” a woman asked as she approached them. Leila and Shersha turned to look up at the stranger with wide eyes. The woman wore a violet strapless dress with a long silk skirt. Her black hair glistened and flowed halfway down her back, and a small golden tiara with inlaid rubies sat upon her head. Her rubellite eyes seemed almost to be sparkling as she smiled at the twins and knelt to their level.
The twins said nothing for a long moment as they stared at the woman before they spoke in unison, “Pretty.”
The woman chuckled sweetly as she said, “Aww, you two are too kind. I should introduce myself,” she stood and gave a small curtsy, “I’m Lily. A pleasure to meet two cuties.”
The twins blinked a little at the introduction, and they bowed. “I’m Leila Sucrose,” Leila said as she rose, looking up at Lily with her green eyes.

“And I’m Shersha Sucrose,” Shersha said, looking up at Lily with her blue eyes.
“Aww, you two are just so adorable,” Lily squealed excitedly, “Why don’t we walk together, and I’ll buy you something sweet? Okay?”
Before the twins could answer, they were interrupted by a man clearing his throat. Everyone turned to face the man and saw two guards with light plate armor, swords strapped to their belts, and a helmet covering their faces. One of the guards said, “Ma’am, we don’t have time for this. You have a meeting in two hours that you can not be late to.”
Lily waved a handoff at him and said, “Oh, please, two hours is plenty of time to go to a sweets shop and get something.”
“Although true, Ma’am, we know you won’t go to just any sweets shop in the city. You will go to your favorite sweets shop, which is a half-hour walk from here. There’s always a line halfway around the block, and we would end up standing there for an hour at minimum. Then, once you actually choose what you want, twenty minutes will have passed even though you order the exact same thing every time. Then you’d want to sit and enjoy the pastries there for another twenty minutes. This will leave you ten minutes to get to your meeting, an hour and a half walk away from there,” the guard countered flatly. With each point he made, Lily shied away a little bit at a time until she looked utterly deflated.
Fiddling with her thumbs, Lily tried countering in a weak and defeated tone, “I don’t always get the exact—”
“Blueberry, poppy seed, and chocolate chip muffins,” the guard interrupted, making Lily go silent.
Then her cheeks puffed up as she pouted and said, “Fine, we’ll go to the stupid meeting first, then we’re getting pastries!”
The guard sighed, “As you wish, Ma’am.” Then she turned and stormed off with the guards in tow, leaving Leila and Shersha staring after her, completely bewildered. Just as the twins moved to follow after her, a dark shadow shot out from an ally and tackled Lily. She screamed as she and the dark figure fell off the walkway and down to the ground below. Without hesitation, the twins cycled their chakra and ran after Lily and her kidnapper before the guards realized what had happened.
