Furyo

[Mom please calm down, i’m sorry I didn’t see where I was going, I was tir…..]

Mei

[Shut up!! I’m sick and tired of your excuses!!]

Mom was screaming and I tried to calm her down but sadly she wasn’t listening to me, Mom was wearing a normal white undershirt with one side untucked from her short black skirt barely covering her knees, over her shirt she wore a leather jacket that showed some stains on the her sleeve, from the chest area of her jacket were breast pockets on each side, what came from her bright red lips was a bunch of slurred gibberish and from her face showed an tired expression showing why she was angry. She must've got drunk from some party and came back, Mom gets angry very easily when she’s drunk. Mom continued to scream like that for about three minutes, then I saw someone in the corner peeking at me it was Gisou my little brother standing in the corner watching me. Gisou and I stood across each as Mom contiuned to scream, our eyes meet but it wasn’t like one of those cliches used in romance novel no Gisou’s eyes were filled with fear and caution while mine were filled with concern and anxiety .

Mei

[What the hell are you looking at, I’m talking to you!!]

Mom turned to where I was looking at but before she could see him, Gisou ducked behind the corner and then after a moment Mom turned back to me and said in a low whisper.

Mei

[I don’t know what you are looking at but I can probably guess that it’s that waste of space brother of yours!]

Furyo

[HE’S YOUR SON TOO YOU KNOW!!!!!!]

I snapped and raised my voice involuntarily at Mom, her expression grew from mad to furious in seconds and continued to scream at me louder then.

Mei

[I am your mother!! do you really think you can raise your voice like that at me!!]

We kept yelling at each other for a bit, then Gisou returned to peek at me and Mom arguing. I saw him and mouthed a few words at him in hope that he’d leave us.

Furyo

[Leave i’ll be fine]

Ever since we were kids Gisou and I were good at reading each others mouths when we did we’d make jokes to each other by mouthing our words with no one being able to understand what we were saying so they became sort of like inside jokes so when I told him to leave he got it instantly. After seeing my words Gisou diverted his eyes away from me and left without any hesitation, no concern, no fear for my safety, he just left and I was happy about it at least he wasn’t gonna get dragged into this again, sadly however Mom saw it and grew in frustration. She lifted the bottle in her hand over her shoulder and swung straight down down.

BAM!!!!!!!

My shoulder was hit by the bottle simultaneously breaking in the process I felt a numb pain surged through my body, Mom threw the bottle to the side of the kitchen floor and then kicked my feet causing me to fall to the floor she then proceeded to kick me in the stomach. It didn’t hurt as much as you would think, after all I have gotten accustomed to it after 10 years of beatings Mom then grab the collar of my shirt and said this.

Mei

[I’ll make sure you understand your position]

Then she let go of my collar and I dropped to the floor Mom then quickly moved her leg towards my stomach to stomp it.

THUMP KIIIIIICSSSSSSSHHHHH!!!!!!!

A loud thud could be heard followed by the sound of glass breaking and then ending with the sound of glass shards hitting the ground, The sound lead to the hallway and we both heard it, Mom left me on the ground and ran towards the hallway where the sound came from, I on the other hand was exhausted but got up knowing who caused that noise, when I finally got up I heard someone screaming in rage.

Mei

[What the hell!! Are you out of your mind!!]

When I heard the screaming I didn’t think of anything I just started running to the hallway fearing of what may happened if I wasn’t there to stop it.

Furyo

[(Gisou not again)]

When I came to the scene of the crime I saw my Mother on top of someone in the mounting position beating on him repeatedly over and over again with her fist, the person on the ground being beaten by her was Gisou he shielding himself the best he could from the beatings unable to move. I ran to my Mother and grabbed her to pull her away from him but then Mom let out a scream and said this.

Mei

[WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!!!!!!!!!!]

Mom became angrier than before and desperately tried to break out of my hold, but I was able to stop her.

Narrator's P.O.V

bang! bang! bang! bang! bang!

Loud short sounds of fists hitting something rang in the hallway, a woman who appeared to be around her 40’s was on top of a young teenage kid beating him with her fist repeatedly. The middle-aged woman was Mei and she was furious. After Mei got home from a party she was at, she wanted to lounge around, when she got back home she wanted to drink some more so she went to the kitchen and grabbed a 40 ounce and a ashtray and went to the living room to watch TV, she would routinely run out and would get up to grab a refill but when she did she’d bring her ashtray with her there was no explicit reason why it was just a bad habit of her’s when she was drunk. Mei stumbled towards the kitchen knocking over a bunch of thing’s in the process but when she was near the door.

[Thump Biiishhhiit]

The sound of glass shattering rang throughout the room, the ashtray slipped from her hand and fell to the ground breaking in the moment it hit the ground. The person who bumped into Mei was her daughter Furyo she must’ve not seen her because she was drunk coupled with the fact the both of them were in a rush for their own reasons. It was just an accident but to Mei all she cared about was her broken ashtray, her switch was flipped and she got angry she then took the empty bottle and smacked Furyo’s shoulder with it.

Mei

[What the hell are you doing you broke my ashtray!!!!]

Mei began to yell at Furyo while at the same time Furyo kept trying to calm her down, the scene was like that of a man calming a guy with a gun. Eventually Mei pushed one of Furyo’s button that shouldn’t be pushed.

Mei

[I don’t know what you are looking at but I can probably guess that it’s your punk of a brother isn’t it!]

That was a trigger that caused Furyo to go bullistic, although this was not the first time Mei insulted Gisou but it was the first time she said she didn’t acknowledge that he was her son because of that Furyo couldn’t just sit there at let it happen especially after all that she did to him.

Furyo

[HE’S YOUR SON TOO YOU KNOW!!!!!!!]

That was also a trigger for Mei too, she then raised the empty bottle in her hand over her shoulder and swung the bottle down towards Furyo’s shoulder.

Furyo

[ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGH!!!!!!!]

Furyo began to scream in pain but Mei ignored it she then immediately kicked Furyo’s legs causing her to drop to the ground. With the bottle broken, Mei got rid of and decided to kicked Furyo in her stomach keeping her from getting back up then when she was finally done Mei moved her legs towards Furyo’s stomach in one fluent motion she wanted to deal the final blow but before she could, the sound of glass breaking could be heard coming from down the hall. Mei was surprised she turned towards the hall and ran out of kitchen to find out what happened only to find the lone Gisou standing in the middle of the hall with both of his hands clench tight, in one hand had small shards of glass embedded in his knuckles along with blood dripping from it, the other hand however seemed to be unscathed but was beet red from how hard he was clenching it, on the ground was a broken picture frame with glass shards and blood near Gisou’s feet his eyes were down-casted making it so no one could see what expression he was making. Mei was at her breaking point, to her everyone around her was just making her angrier and angrier than before now she just snapped, Mei charged straight at Gisou and pushed him down on ground, she got on top of him and starts to beat on him with her fist, she kept punching him and punching him till his face was covered in blood. It was then that Furyo came to the hall and pulled Mei off Gisou before she killed him but what happens next was something that was unusual, “Gisou was smiling”, he was smiling even after being beaten to a bloody pulp and it was not the kind of smile of glee or joy, it was a condescending smile meant to piss someone off and it did just that.

Mei

[WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!!!!]

Like a mouse caught in a trap Mei became furious and insulted by Gisou and she tried to answer that with violence, Mei was frashing about trying to get out of Furyo’s arm but couldn’t, it looked like she wanted to kill him, Furyo then threw her away from Gisou to the other end of the hall, Mei still wanted to finish what she started with Gisou but Furyo didn’t want that.

Mei

[get outta my way I need to “handle” the brat over there!!!!]

Furyo

[No do you hear yourself by “handle” you mean to continue beating him over what, a broken photo! Just end this now Mom]

Mei

[Do you hear yourself!!! That photo was the last photo that we had with father and you brush it off as something not that big!!!]

Furyo

[I know how much it means to you but the picture is fine i’ll get a new frame for it so please mom let this be]

Suddenly Furyo grabbed the collar on Mei’s shirt and pushed her back towards the wall, Mei tried desperately to break free from Furyo hold but couldn't. Furyo’s grip was stronger than any normal humans and no one not even Gisou knew how she got so strong. Furyo’s appearance gave you the impression of not even being able to breaking a toothpick but she was able to lift her over 40 year old mother off her feet and push her towards the wall. Even when it was clear that Furyo was a lot stronger then her Mei still continue to scream at her telling her to let her go, but all that changed when she made eye contacted with Furyo she was very mature for her age and wasn’t someone that would get angry often, Furyo had to take care of her eight-year old brother at a very young age, so you could say she had no choice but to mature quicker then most kids her age. she’d also never take any aggressive action even when her Mother insulted Gisou by calling him a “Waste of Space” she wouldn’t even go as far as clenching her fist, but when Mei made eye contact with her she suddenly felt a dagger pointed towards her neck and was just inches away from piercing it. Mei wanted to kept her eyes away from Furyo’s, she didn’t want to look at them anymore because she was just too afraid of what might happen to her, then Furyo spoke to Mei in a low tone.

Furyo

[Now leave him alone or else, NOW!!!!!!]

Furyo let go of Mei’s collar and she crawled away with tears streaking down her face, then Furyo let out a deep sigh and went to check on Gisou.

Narrator P.O.V

Furyo

[Hold still, this will only take a moment]

Gisou

[Owww!!!!]

Furyo

[Well thats what you get for purposely trying to hurt yourself]

Gisou was sitting in the living room having Furyo dress his wounds, she also began to lecturing him about what happened, this was a rather common scene that happens in the Nisemono household.

Furyo

[I mean seriously!! I know you mean well but you don’t have to do that everytime me and Mom have a fight]

Gisou

[Yeah like I have any regrets for what happens to me, me getting hurt was just an inevitability after all]

Furyo

[Oh really then]

Gisou

[Yea..ow ow ow ow ow]

Furyo applied some force to the cotton swab she was using on one of Gisou’s injuries.

Gisou

[OK!! (sniff)(sniff) i’m sorry (sniff) just stop already please!!!!]

Gisou’s made a rather pitiful face that resembled a chipmunk.

Furyo

[(If you're gonna make a face like then I’ll feel like the bad guy)]

Furyo

[siiiigggghhh There all done]

Eventually Furyo was able to finish, so she sat down on couch. Gisou followed suit by sitting right next to her, he began contemplating about what happened this morning and decided to talk to her about it.

Gisou

[Hey sis can we talk for a bit theres something I want to talk about]

Furyo

[Ah sure can we talk about this later i’m really tired

Gisou

[no it’s something really important and I kinda want to get it over with]

Furyo

[Ah sure…… ok what is it that you want to talk about]

Gisou

[Umm…... Sis I don’t know how to put this without sounding like a jerk but isn’t it about time you moved out.]

Furyo

[ehh... what, what!!!!!!!!!]

Gisou

[Like I said I’m not trying to hurt you or anything i’m just saying you shouldn’t be getting hurt like this anymore, you're an adult now so you don’t need to stay here anymore and look out for me]

Furyo

[I’m staying because I “HAVE” to take care of you, I’m may be an adult but your still a kid in society's eyes you are and Mom has made it clear that she doesn’t want to take care of you.]

Furyo

[I have to watch over you in place of Dad and brother so I can’t let you leave until you have what you need to have an easy life]

Gisou

[You know, sis i’ve been thinking of leave home too, i’m going to be living on my own soon]

Furyo

[No you will not!!!! you haven’t even graduated highshcool yet, you still at least need that to get a decent job]

Furyo reacted to my words instantly and simultaneously made a quick reply to them.

Gisou

[But sis what if Mom hits hard enough and kills you I know how you feel bu..]

Furyo

[I’m sorry! but I can’t let you do that, anyways I have work tomorrow so let’s end this here]

Gisou

[ok]

It was difficult for Gisou to argue about it, it was especially hard when the the truth about the matter was “I want to go to a different world”. Even he know it sounds convoluted.

Gisou

[(Well guess I have my answer for Michael then)]

Gisou get up from the couch with that thought in mind and decided to go to sleep only to have another thought cross his mind.

Gisou

[(Wait did MIchael tell how I should contacted him]

Gisou

[(dammit!!!)]

Gisou

[(I’ll have to look for him tomorrow after I get off work)]

After thinking this, Gisou went to his room to go to sleep without realising what would happen to him tomorrow.

Michael grind his teeth and clenches his fist out of frustrations, his left hand started to glow red revealing a small magic circle on the back of his hand.

Michael

[HOW CAN A SOMEONE SAY THAT ABOUT THEIR OWN CHILD!!!!!!!]

Michael began to scream in rage and a second after that the burning sensation grew in intensity spreading through his entire body making it feel like several hot knives stabbing his body repeatedly. The pain forced Michael to his knees, eventually bright red cracks started to appeared all over his body but all Michael did was stare at her the person that was right in front of him. Thats right the person talking with Michael was Mei she saw Gisou and Michael talking when she was out partying and heard everything and she to Michael and ask him to meet her here in the middle of the night.

Michael

[We must settle the formalities before the summoning can begin]

Mei was surprised at how corporative he was being but quickly bounced back from it and began to settle the formalities.

Mei

[Ok what do I have to do]

Mei replies with a smile

Michael

[Someone has to sign Gisou’s real name to enter him in the contract

Mei

[oh really that’s all I have to do]

Michael

[yes but not just anyone can do only one of his legal guardians can do]

Mei

[Oh what luck, well i’ll just do that]

Michael grabbed the contract that was kept in his tailcoat and threw it towards Mei’s feet, she picked up the contract and wrote down Gisou Nisemono however not long after that the writing evaporated from the contract erasing Gisou’s name.

Mei

[Hey what the hell happened, my signature vanished]

Michael

[Your supposed to write his “real” name bitch!!!!!]

Michael said through his teeth in rage Mei replied to that response by just staring at him with lifeless eyes not long after that Mei turned her face to the paper and signed his “real” name.

Mei

[You wouldn’t be talking like that if you knew what he did]

Mei said calm and walked away. eventually the red cracks on Michael’s body disappeared and he got back control of his body.

Michael

[GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!]

Michael

[I’m sorry Gisou I’m sorry for my own inability to stop her if I was humen maybe I could have stopped her]

The next morning report of a missing high school boy appeared all over the news, reports described the boy to have light beige hair and light blue eye’s.
