“Finally he's waking up!” ??>
Those were the first words I heard when I woke up. It was really confusing because I couldn’t even remember going to sleep.
As I lifted myself up from hard stone floor I appearently slept on, what met my eyes were a mindblowing beauty I could have sworn only existed in my dreams. Her eyes were a peculiar lightpink color which might sound a little superficial, but the dept I felt in them had me drawn into them and I simply couldn’t help myself.
“Do you have a map? Cuz I swear I’m lost in your eyes!”
Goddammit why couldn’t I have said something smart instead of some cheesy pick-up line.
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
Even after all that, with my face feeling hot and red like a baked tomato, I couldn’t get myself to turn away from this beauty. Her face had a perfect slim form and a grace over it. Her skin was smooth like jade and the way she carried herself had a unknown feeling to it.
She started to chuckle a litte. Soon she laughed out load still holding herself gracefully like an elegant swan. I felt like a toad, from the chinese proverb. She was way beyond my league.
“I think you might have hit you’re head a little too hard Yu Jian” ??>
Yu Jian? Is this some kind of joke? That’s not my name, my name is… What’s my name? Why can’t I remember? This is so confusing.
“Yu Jian? Is that me? And who are you?” I asked. I’ve read a lot of fictions through my life and if there’s something I hate, there is when someone pretends to be someone else, though I don’t even know if thats my case here. Nothing seemed familiar around here.
“Stop joking Yu Jian, that’s not even funny!” ??>
Even though I was serious, she didn’t seem to take me seriously. I looked at myself and even though I felt normal and nothing unusual, I couldn’t recognize my own hands or even clothes for that matter. The hands from my memories were bigger and I had a distinct scar on my palm from an accident when I fell off a bike when I was 10.
The girl in front of me started to take me a bit more seriously as she noticed my confusion.
“I’m sorry, but I seriously don’t know what’s going on here. I don’t recognize you or even myself.”
I took a polite bow as I apologized. I learned from my father that one should always apologize if there might be even a small possibility that something was your fault, especially if it was to a woman. Apologies are free and cost nothing to give so I made it one of my golden rules to always apologize first.
As I looked up after my bow I could see from the change of her attitude that she now took me seriously. Finally we are getting somewhere, but seriously where am I? What is this place?
I hadn’t really taken a good look around me before now, but I could see this was not what I was used to. We were in a big hall with statues of unknown people with different stances on every corner with all different weapons. They looked to real to have been carved. Inside this hall were a magnitude of tools for training and workout. There were also a mysterious light in the hall, however, I couldn’t find any lightsources! This was a really mysterious place.
“...” ??>
It was at this moment I saw that the woman in front of me seemed frozen still. I probably caused her a small shock or something.
I’m kind of shocked too...
“For Yu Jian to apologize like that...” ??>
She seemed to mumble something to herself, but I didn’t catch what she said.
“I have to get a doctor to have a look on you, follow me. You can call me Sister Ling”

She turned around and started walking towards the gate to the left. I followed her. As we continued walking, I took a look around me and absorbed the new environment. The halls and corridors, everything was so well-made.
The type of stone used should be something like a mixture of marble and green jade. The design is excellent and must have cost a fortune to build. I would really like to meet the arcitect of this amazing work!
Walking for another 5 or 10 minutes we soon found ourselves outside a wooden door. Thats when Sister Ling started to knock.
“Doctor Xiaoqing! It’s me, Yu Ling! I need your help with Yu Jian!”
“I’m right there! Give me a second! Did he pass out training again? I swear he’s going to seriously hurt himself someday!”
A short moment later the door was opened and behind it was another woman. She was a bit taller and also seemed a bit older than Sister Ling. This woman had also a graceful apperance. Her eyes were deep-green. I guess weird eye colors were usual here.
“Xiaoqing, Yu Jian seems to have lost his memories, and it’s scaring me!” said Sister Ling looking back at me probably hoping I would say something like “APRILS FOOLS!” or something… Do they even have that tradition here? I wonder…
Doctor Xiaoqing smile turned into a serious look as she turned around and waved as a signal for us to follow inside. She turned over to her shelves with lots of plants and what I would call “ingredients”. However, I would not put that stuff into my cooking. Most of it did not look desirable, AT ALL.
A short moment later, she came back with a mixture of something.
“Yu Jian, please drink this. It’s supposed to clear up your mind. I’m sorry, but there’s not much that can be done with memory loss.”
I took the mixture and quickly drank the whole thing. Thank God it only smelled worse than it tasted. Soon I felt like my vision was zooming a little. Everything just felt more “in focus”. As expected. I guess I have to start fresh over here, but no matter how I look upon it it’s like I’ve jumped out of my own world and into this one. Is this like one of those mangas I’ve been reading? A lot of questions came to me as to how this world worked and so on and as an answer to one of my biggest questions Sister Ling suddenly said.
“Maybe his memories will come back after he has cultivated further? They say that the Xiantian Realm clears your mind and you’ll start remembering even things from you were very young as if it was yesterday”
YEESS!! Fantasy world here I come! I felt my blood ozing. If this is a world like those fictions tell about I will cultivate myself like in those stories!
“Not a bad idea Yu Ling, I guess even though Yu Jian is only an outer sect disciple I will talk to the elders about giving him a cultivation method a bit earlier than usual as we are talking about his health here.”
“I’m sorry for bothering you, thank you so much for your help!” I said as I made a 90 degree bow. Never bad to get on a doctors good side.
“Haha, I almost like this Yu Jian better. No need to bow so much, it’s my duty as one of the sects doctors”
“Okay, thank you” I said, starting to bow down again, but stopping myself at 45 degrees embarrassed of my actions. I guess it has become a habit.
A short moment later I felt dizzy and started to wiggle. Just as the world started spinning I saw Sister Ling catching me as I fell passing out.
