Walking down the hall to go meet the head instructor took little time but Noah really wanted to see his status screen again because he was wondering about the incoming training and what may change with it.

He already discovered a change, his alignment changed from neutral to good, Noah deduced it was from joining the military. This didn’t really make any sense to him since it was known that there were some bad soldiers around.
‘ Probably it is more of faction standing. Since I’m in the military now, I’m considered an enemy by outlaws…’
Thinking this he arrived at the end of the corridor guarded by two brutes clad in armor with the army token and passed through the gate that led outside, where he found a large camp made of soil with training facilities such as obstacle courses and circles drawn on the ground, some as large as a whole room and others with enough space to stand for just two people.
After some sightseeing, Noah could immediately tell what those circles were for, in fact, he could see some soldiers standing inside them and sparring; in front of such a circle, with 3 people ganging upon 1, he saw a man with an exclamation point on top of his head. ‘That must be the instructor’ he thought and made way to reach him while avoiding running or sparring soldiers.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
While walking he got stopped by a voice from behind: <<”Hey greenhorn! You must be a new recruit, am I right? Tell me where are you going and I might be able to help you.”>>
At first, he got scared by this sudden loud voice but seeing that he only wanted to offer some directions, Noah decided that he could try to speak with him and try to learn something from this man who, by seeing his armor, didn’t look like an average joe.
<<”Hello, my name is Pestilence and I’m indeed a new recruit! I’m new to this world and to Divel city too. I just joined this division and Odette sent me here looking for the head instructor, I guess he is that man standing firm outside that circle with people fighting inside.”>>
Noah thought it would be rude to just ask one question after another to a man who might be high in ranks, so he spoke calmly and with firmness hoping to get his interlocutor name by giving his. A Name was a perfect starting point to begin and build a conversation, it stated that you wanted the other person to know who you are without hiding anything, at least it went like this in Noah opinion.
<<”OhOhOhOh! So you are one of the Adventurers that our gods spoke off, indeed Odette did a good job to let you enlist right away. The head instructor was indeed looking for some fresh Adventurers meat to taste it, he may look big and scary but fear not, what interests him is just training people! A bit of a blockhead if you ask me.
By the way, I’m Markus Barbian and I’m Divel’s city First Battalion commander. Here, follow me and I will introduce you to Dominick.”>>
‘Wow, this dude turned out to be pretty high in Divel’s command chain. I should try to befriend him, what to do say now…’
Thinking so, Noah asked Markus about how it was to be in Divel’s military and what was exactly their duty which got replied: <<”Don’t worry greenhorn, I think you will find out pretty soon. Dominick was curious about your bunch after all.”>>.
After this, they went on for another short distance in silence until Markus introduced Pestilence to the head instructor and then he left.
Dominick was a tall and muscular man with light brown skin, probably due to all the training he did while bare-chested, he also sports a dark beard which goes down to touch his chest, maybe to compensate for his missing hairs thought Noah.
After a brief, gazing and evaluating moment that made Noah feel like being scanned by a super large MRI, Dominik spoke while stroking his beard. <<”I see that you are likely to be killed by a wolf right away If we threw you inside the forest. I guess that we will have to train you from scratch; what is your path, adventurer?”>>
Noah couldn’t help but be surprised by the uncaring if a bit rude too, attitude of the instructor. He already noticed it by the way in which Dominik spoke to Markus, who should be pretty powerful in this city. Feeling helpless he told about his tamer class to the instructor, which surprised him since tamer was a path of the wilderness, rarely seen in the army; after this small chat, Dominik took Pestilence in front of a small circle and gave him a sword, after which he got inside and told Noah: <<"Get ready, I will personally take care of you!">>.
