As soon as their breaths settled and she pulled herself off, a wave of nausea rose from within her. She hopped off of the bed and ran to the bathroom, emptying the little breakfast she had had into the toilet.
Noxus followed her, concerned, and held her hair as she puked. “I’m calling a doctor,” he said as she sat up from her state of puking.
He took her to the bed and left the room.
He walked to the women who were still in the dining room, chatting as they cleaned up the plates.
“Could someone call a doctor? One that can fly or get here quickly?” he asked in a worried tone.
“I will,” Astrid said as she grabbed the phone on the wall next to the kitchen.
Within the hour, the doctor arrived at the castle.
Noxus greeted him and then told him that his mate was sick.
After a complete examination of Aurelia, the doctor looked at Noxus standing at her side.
With a chuckle, the doctor said, “Congratulations. I estimate that she is due in around five months. I would suggest taking it a bit easier when it comes to intercourse.” A sly smile met his lips.
Confusion struck Aurelia. She was pregnant? Five months means she got pregnant four months ago when she was still a virgin. Why hadn’t she felt sick until the second trimester? She didn’t feel halfway through her pregnancy.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “There must be something wrong. I can’t be four months into a pregnancy.”
Noxus looked at the doctor with an amused look.

“I assure you there is no mistake; you are close to two weeks pregnant, the perfect time for the sickness to hit you. Basilisks are pregnant for about five and a half months. This will be the worst of it. Make sure you are drinking water to keep from getting dehydrated.
Her eyes fell onto Noxus as he brushed his fingers through her hair. The doctor took that as his cue to leave, and he walked through the door of their bedroom.
“My queen, you are with my child.” Noxus glanced at her stomach before returning to look at her face.
He kissed her lips and pulled her out of bed. Bliss filled his heart. Not only with the fact that they were going to have a baby, but that she would mother his child. He loved her so deeply that he couldn’t put it into words.
“Let’s go share the news.” His smile was the biggest she had seen.
They walked out of the room and found Astrid standing by the door.
“Gather the others. There is an announcement,” he said to her.
With a bow, Astrid took off to find the other basilisks within their pit.
Noxus took Aurelia to the top of the stairs where they waited as a group formed at the bottom. Noxus searched for Astrid. Once she appeared she gave him a nod to tell him that everyone was before him.
“With the return of a king and his queen mate, we are now able to consummate life. My wonderful queen is expected to give birth to the next generation of basilisks in five months,” Noxus boomed.
He raised her arm with his to show their unification.
Aurelia found herself excited. Had this been a month ago, she would have been terrified. Something in her had changed. She had gone from being a man hating, single woman who never thought of having her own children in the horrible world, to a woman who only felt like herself at a man’s side, excited to give him the gift of life. She knew she would be willing to have as many children as he wanted, do whatever it took to make him happy.
Cheers erupted from the crowd below them. Excitement for what this meant for Basilisk kind fueled them with a love for their king and queen. They knew that their time was just getting started, there would be more, there would soon be babies and children. The hope of their future looked bright. All because their King had found his mate.
Noxus took her in his arms as his pride surged through his body. “I want to go on a date with you tonight. Do you feel up for that?”
Aurelia nodded her head with a smile. She felt the love of her basilisks overwhelm her. For the first time, she felt like she really did belong here, with them. This was her home.
