Chapter 4: The change

As Aron uttered this sentence countless creatures started to shiver, as his voice reverberated throughout the dense forest. And the original active forest retired to its silence again.

Suddenly Aron felt a headache coming. He cannot communicate with them. He thought long and hard and finely thought of a solution.

Outside, it can be seen that the face on the original black mountain has started to disappear, returning to its plain state. As for the creatures, after a few minutes of silence they resumed their activity.

Aron sighed in relief. It worked. His face on his body is his instinct and it's not like he needs his face to appear on it, only then he can see. He can still see and feel without it but vision will be a little distorted, but he cannot speak without his mouth appearing.

Now that the issue has been resolved Aron thought of a crucial matter, why did he suddenly feel a little more familiar with those creatures. And what is this void space? Aron looked at this unknown void in his mind and looked at all these tiny stars, he felt mystified. As he never ever felt this earlier and this is the first time seeing something inside him, as if it is the natural state of him, he did not felt uncomfortable as if it was a part of him.

Aron looked around and tried to see the limit of this void space but looking long and far he did not see any boundary as if it was a limitless space.

Thinking so he thought of the familiar feeling and looked at all those stars which represented those creatures. Aron when traveling had seen and touched many creatures but nothing happened to them but why did these creatures mutate, as he can feel similar energy inside them. And that's where that familiar feeling came from. Shaking his head, Aron thought that all this changes is due to this void space.

And in such a way, Aron daily became active, for some time he will try to communicate with those creatures. And as such, a few days passed and after some 5 or 6 days, Aron started to feel sleepy again. “Well, this was a little fast," Aron muttered.

He had felt earlier that he had become bigger again but Aron did not give it much thought as there was nothing surprising about it, as every time he slept he would grow. Maybe he is now 80 meters, but this height is in his natural state, so when he walks on his feelers his height can easily reach 130- 140 meters. Looks like his growth has not stopped even a little bit but even has become a little faster.

He can see that in the forest after mutation the largest creature he can see is mostly just 15 meters, ignoring the trees, which has become much taller but there is not that much changes in them.

Feeling his body, Aron felt less energy and lethargy more and more, so he just decided to sleep this time longer so that he can stay awake next time for more days.

Well this time he got a big family finally. So looking for a last time at all those creatures and feeling the familiar feeling, Aron smiled and closed his eyes satisfactorily. He has been in a constant state of loneliness but now that he can finally see some similar creatures similar to him, he is more than happy. He constantly thought of many things he would do next time, to teach them, as he fell asleep.

And just when Aron fell asleep all creatures paused for a moment and returned to their activity. And this time Aron slept for a very long time.

In his sleep, changes continued to take place in the forest. As all organisms continued to mutate, evolve and multiply. In this constant need of evolution for safety many species broke their limit and evolved further to something unknown and entirely new. As this continued to happen, many different changes took place in their evolution which looked more different than normal, but all this was happening all over the place.

As many years have passed, somewhere within the boundary of a beast layer an egg cracked and a baby creature came out. It was slightly smaller and thinner than the rest of its siblings but there was a case of brilliance in his eyes, a trace of intelligence. And similar creatures started to appear in other species too, all born with the trace of wisdom, and as they grow and reproduce their numbers started to increase. In the beginning they were discriminated against by their fellow members for food and mates due to their weak bodies but as the time passed their population increased as they became dominant and respected in their groups.

It happened due to several factors, as they had a trace of intelligence so they were able to avoid most dangers and survive further unlike their siblings who were even though much stronger, got hunted down. Hence due to their survival their numbers started to grow more and more, as their numbers increased so did their intelligence. As time passed they started to make their own society separately, hence, a primitive culture similar to a paleolithic form of a tribe formed in this forest.

But this change did not happen in only one group as several creatures started to evolve, their intelligences evolved too but not every ones were lucky, where some developed their intelligence, some creatures just developed their power, became bigger and stronger and remaining species got eliminated as they were not able to compete with others or just disappeared.

These creatures who developed in power were just too strong, chaotic and large, some as big as 30 meters but their number was too small, where those new mutated intelligent life got tens of thousands in numbers, these giants had pitiful few in hundreds.

But they were strong, as strong as no matter whatever the intelligent race applied and tried to hunt them, they always got massacred in return, as no amount of tricks can tackle in front of pure strength.

And as the time passed all the mutation started to stabilize but the fierce competition for food and survival continued even more vigorously.

As the time passed some of those primitive intelligent life started to gather together and live together in caves forming a basic tribe and as they hunted and fought together they were able to see the benefit of strength in numbers hence it developed into a proper tribe where the leader of the tribe is generally the strongest member but above the tribe leader is tribe priest who have only one work which is to communicate with god, The Mountain God. And as the time passed the numbers of different tribes started to grow and so did the vicious competition between them for food and water. Some tribes had a big population from the start so they were easily able to dominate one part of the forest, some had small numbers so they had to fight and survive carefully, some tribes got defeated and became a subsidiary for the other tribes, and such scenes took place everywhere in this forest.

But the most important thing here is that no tribe eliminated other defeated tribes completely because it will attract the punishment of the Mountain God. And soon it became the norm to show power, by absorbing other tribes.
