Hey everyone! So these two chapters that I posted are introductory chapters to the story we’re actually following. XD
The prologue was just a taste as to what the world is about in the series. Enjoy these two short chapters!

Chapter 1: A Painful Birth

I was born in glass. Genetically picked to have powers, so that my owners could win battles. My mother and father are probably long dead. I never knew them, even at the end of my life. When I woke up I could see nothing but the color blue. There was glass in front of me, but I could hardly see the outside. I tried to cry, but something stopped me, something injected in the back of my neck that I didn’t understand. That 'something’ stopped me from not only crying, but moving around as well. I don’t know how I knew, but all I knew was that I was special and I could take in what I saw with incredible speed and understanding.
Many days passed, at least they seemed like days, and the world around me began to move. My little rounded cylinder moved to another room, where I saw for the first time, other humans. They looked at me as I looked back, somewhat startled.
“It opened its eyes already? How?”

“Fred open the container, now!”
I could hear them speaking, but I didn’t understand what they were speaking. The top of my container opened and a pair of very white hands grabbed me. They felt really weird as they were fun to play with. And put in my mouth. I had been removed from my little cylinder and placed on a certain floor where I was able to remove that person’s hand and play with it. Underneath the hand was another hand that backed away quickly before I could touch it.
“That damn thing took my glove!”
“Careful Nala, if my instruments are reading his genetics correctly. This one is the specially made ‘hero’, the one Lord Adrian made specifically for his use.”
“Really? You mean the one that…”
“Shhh….do you want to end up in the freezer? If they hear you speak of that they’ll definitely put you in there without any hesitation.”
The lady put her hand on her mouth quickly before exiting to sanitize her hands and put new gloves on. I just sat there playing with the so called glove. I heard but did not understand a word they were saying.
Moments later the other person came up to me with a collar.
“Here ya go little guy, from today onwards you’re going to be a part of something big for the Adriatic Alliance.”
I stared at him with big ol’ eyes and a glove in my mouth. He pulled the glove out of my mouth and put that collar on my neck. I burned into my skin as I fell over wailing. The rather thin device became thinner as it sunk into my skin becoming a sort of skin-collar. When the pain was over I fainted just before hearing the man say one more thing.
“Welcome to the world, Hero Zero.”
