Chapter 3: The Heroes Reunite (Part 1).

Several minutes later, great hall.

After some time, the youngsters were in the great hall in a huge table where it was served an incredible feast, at the head of the table was the king, to his right side, the king’s children and his generals. The situation of the "world heroes", at least in its superficial level, was already explained to them, Trish was the most surprised about it, she was unable to mutter a word during several minutes, while Markus already got the idea of following whatever Alexander chooses to do, even if said decision was to fight in a war of an unknown land in what apparently was another world.

- "I see you still have a lot to think about, I perfectly understand that this might not be an easy situation for you" the king stated while giving a kind smile to Trish.

- "Hmm... I firmly believe we don't need their help" stated a young man, probably on his early 20s, short black messy hair, he was using a full armor that seemed to be rather light, dark blue, and he had a serious expression on his face.

- "my son, why do you say that? Have the heroes do something to make you distrust them?" asked the king feeling a little uncomfortable.

- "Well, to begin with, one of the so-called "heroes" just died, isn't it? it's supposed that the heroes are humans with great power, however, we already lost one, I believe it would be better to just send them back".

At listening to the words of the prince, Trish started to tremble a little, she was a brave kind of girl, but staying in such a dangerous and unknown place, how could anyone remain calm in this situation?

- "... fuuu... well, even if we wanted to, it took us a lot of time to prepare for the summoning ritual. The spell is just too powerful and complex, it would take us at least the same amount of time to get everything ready to send them back, which would be at least one year, I'm afraid that's too much time" replied the king with a sigh.

- "That's right! On the other hand, I think you are mistaken, brother, although it's true that one of the heroes has died, that was only due to the zone he appeared

into, a place so dangerous and far away from our castle and our soldiers, it won't be the same if we are able to reunite the remaining heroes and prepare them properly" The one to speak was the princess, a 17-year-old girl who was dressed in white and blue, with long black hair, and a few golden streaks.

- "even if we do reunite the remaining "heroes" and properly train them, what makes you think they will actually help us? Or even that they can fight in a war? I can see it just with a glance to their eyes, they come from a place where there's peace, these youngsters don't know the face of war" the prince was rather calm and his expression unchangeable while talking.

- "Your majesty, I need to indicate that I agreed with the prince, even if they were summoned to help with the war, that doesn't mean they have to accept it, and even if they do, we would need to make them level up as soon as possible, considering that the ceasefire could end in any given minute, and I seriously doubt they will be able to get ready in time" the man who spoke this time was a 25 years old man, long and blue hair, beautiful facial features, who was wearing a little armor and a red tunic, and what seemed to be glasses, his name was Torrent.

The king only gave a look to one of his generals and his oldest son who seemed to agree with each other.

- "not only that but... as I told you before, I don't agree with the idea of bringing innocent people to this war" stated the prince after a few seconds of silence.

- " what about our innocent people? Far too many innocents have been killed by the Beastiale and the demons, isn't the whole point of the summoning of the “world heroes” to bring the help of powerful and good-hearted humans? I trust the heroes to help us stop those monsters, besides I trust Sir Alexander, he seems to be blessed with golden hair after all" the young princess stated while standing up so everyone could focus on her.

- "the color of your hair is not everything, sister..." the prince replied with a serious expression on his face while looking at his sister.

- "this time I have to agree with the young princess" the one who talked this time was one of the generals that have an armor quite similar to that of the prince, yet the color was all black and with a slightly different form, the general had orange messy hair a little up, his name was Blaze.

- "Thanks for your support Blaze".

- "you're welcome, your highness" replied the man with an amused smile.

- "are you really disagreeing with the prince?" Torrent asked Blaze with a defying tone.

- "I have a different opinion to that of you, besides... I find it hard to trust in the person who is trying to make peace agreements with the ones who are killing his own people" Blaze gave a confident and defying look to the prince and the general Torrent while smirking at them.

Suddenly a strong pressure could be felt on the air, and before anyone could say anything the earth and the castle began to shake.

- "SILENCE!!! it's enough with all these stupid arguments in front of our guests, if someone will get to decide whether the heroes will help us or not, it will be they" the king spoke while a great aura of power and an extreme pressure was being released by him, of course, this pressure... this power, it was directed to his children and his generals, however, the power was such that even the "heroes" could feel it.

After a few seconds that it took to the king to calm down, the place was extremely quiet, no one wanted to talk, some due to their fear of the king, others just didn't know what to say, and surprisingly, the one who talked first was Trish.

- "Hmm... I'm sorry, could I ask you something?" she asked quite nervous.

- "of course Lady heroine" the voice that answered came from the last general of the king, he was a tall guy, maybe 3 meters tall, with a huge gray and brown armor, his hair was short dark brown, a beard and mustache of the same color, he was certainly the oldest of the 3 generals, his name was Land.

- "Hmm... well, is about the hair color... the princess previously said that she trusted in Alexander due to his hair color, what did she mean by that?".

At Trish's simple question, the king, his younger children, and the generals, everyone seemed confused by Trish question, they didn't understand why she would make such an obvious question, the only one who remained calm and only watched Trish without confusion on his eyes was the oldest prince.

- "Lady heroine, how does hair color works in your world?" asked the youngest child of the king with curiosity in his voice.

- "well... is natural to have different hair colors like black, brown, blonde, even redheads are kind of normal, still, there are colors like blue or green that aren't natural colors, but people still use them for their hair, but beyond everyone likes or dislikes towards hair color or hairstyle, it doesn't really have a deeper meaning, at least from where we are from".

- "Oh! I see... so that's a difference between our worlds" stated the king with a little smile.

- "You see, Lady heroine, in this world, hair color holds an important meaning for the people... having black or brown hair is rather normal for a human, for example, my older brother and general Land" said the little prince while he pointed to his brother and the big guy.

- "that's right! On the other hand, people with certain hair colors like blue, green, gray or orange, they are people who have received a special kind of “blessing”, something like the colors of nature, blue is a blessing for water, green for wind, gray for earth, and orange for fire" this time the king talked.

- "you also need to know that certain colors are not really... accepted, they mean trouble and oncoming darkness, those hair colors have dark meanings, like gray, violet, and silver..." Land said.

- "I'm sorry, but... didn't the king say that gray represents a blessing of nature? If that's the case, then... why is not really accepted?" this time the one asking the question was Markus who stayed silent most of the time.

- "Well, the reason is quite simple actually, you see, the natural hair color of most Beastiale and even some monsters are gray and light brown, that's why, despite also being the color of a blessing, is not that accepted by other people, also, violet is a very special color, this is due to an old belief that only those who have made a pact with demons possess that hair color, it's widely known as the hair of the damned... not even Beastiale would openly accept someone like that".

- "and don't forget silver hair, silver is the natural hair color of demons, that and black hair, however, most human also have black hair, that's why is not usual to judge someone by it, on the other hand, silver color is common in high-level demons, the ones with the highest ranks" The king stated with a serious expression and tone while looking at the youngsters.

- "and, of course, for us, the most important hair colors are golden, red and white, each one of them represents a divine blessing..." the princess replied with a wide smile directed at Alexander.

- "Golden hair color is the one of the heroes and "Superior Stage Humans", humans born to be special. Red hair represents the heir or incarnation of a divine being, like angels walking on earth. And the white color is the natural color of most divine beings, it represents their purity" the princess talked once again.

- "I see... the hair color is truly important for you" Trish said somewhat surprised, then she smiled at the thought of her best friend Uriel.

- "then the king and his children, besides Trish, they are all blessed" Markus indicated with some expectation, after all, the words of the princess made him realize that in this world Alexander was way more special due to his blonde hair.

- "Well... yes and no, opposite to Sir Alexander, our hair is only partially golden, the more golden is your hair the stronger is the blessing" the king replied with a nervous smile.

This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

- "that means that Alexander is quite special" Markus stated with a proud smile.

- "that's right, that's why I said that I trust him, among the people in this room, Alexander has the strongest blessing, followed by my father, then me and finally my little brother" the princess replied with a prideful tone and confident smile.

- "oh? And what about the prince?" Trish asked with curiosity when she realized that the oldest child of the king has full black hair.

- "sadly my oldest son didn't receive any blessing, however, that never stopped him to earn a place as one of my strongest generals, the strongest members of the army of Liberteas" the king stated proudly making his oldest son smile a little.

- "yeah... it's such a shame that our older brother won't be able to take the throne since he wasn't blessed, it would be hard for him to be accepted in such a position, especially since he is quite... peculiar... " the princess said with some sadness in her voice while looking slightly down.

- "Hmm... I see, so it's necessary to have a blessing to be able to reign in this world" Alexander said with a calm expression.

- "Well, is not really as if it was a requirement... it's just... the people would be way more confident and safe if the one who takes the throne is someone who is blessed" Torrent replied while giving a sad look to the prince at his side.

- "actually, kings or queens don't necessarily inherit their position, so a royal family won't necessarily stay in the power for several generations, the current king is the best example of that, when he was a young boy, due to his tremendous power, and his hair color, he was chosen by the people and even the previous king in person to take his place in the throne" Blaze said with a wide smile.

- "Wow, really? I've never heard of something like that?" Trish asked with a nervous smile.

- "Yeah, if that didn't happen, then who knows, I might have been king by now, hahahaha" Blaze started to laugh out loud.

- "... oh, you mean due to your blessing" Trish replied. Blaze only gave the heroes a look, before smiling at the current prince.

The look and smirk that Blaze sent to the prince and the scowl on the prince's face only made Trish feel a little nervous.

- "No, Blaze says so because he's the son of the previous king" the prince answered while giving Blaze a serious look.

The prince words surprised both Trish and Markus, for what they have seen so far, it was hard to think of this guy Blaze as the son of the previous king, his attitude and the one of the current prince are just too different.

- "after passing his position and the throne, the previous king and his oldest son decided to join the army as high ranked members, they served this country as some of the strongest members for several years, that was until one day Blaze’s older brother got lost during one of the many battles we fought during the war, after his disappearance, the previous king decided to go on a journey to find his son, but he never came back..." the king tone was one of sadness, even a little of pain, he needed to take a moment to breathe and calm down before continuing.

- "... fuuu... sometime later, Blaze showed up, by then he was just a little kid, with incredible potential, and through an essence test, we learned he was the children of the previous king, then he decided to join the army to find his lost brother and father".

Once the king finished telling the story, everyone was quiet, there was no sound, Land met the previous king when he was just a kid, he even fought side by side when he was still just a soldier, he also knew that for the current king, the memories of the things the previous king teach him were rather important.

After a few seconds, a soldier enters in a hurry and in a firm but respectful he got closer to the king.

- "your majesty, a carriage that brings 2 more heroes is about to get here" stated the soldier.

- "really? That was indeed fast, we weren't expecting them for at least one more hour" the king said with a surprised expression while getting up.

- "Us all should go to greet the new heroes" the king said while pointing to Alexander and the rest. Trish was probably the one who seemed the most excited to see who it could be.

Outside of the castle, there was a carriage that was just getting there, inside the carriage 2 young girls were having difficulties to deal with what was happening.

- "what do you think will happen to us? What if they brought us here to do us something?" the shorter girl, Julie, asked with a worried tone, she was pretty alarmed by the situation.

- "Hey! don't worry, okay? You know I would never let anything happen to you... come here" the dark-haired girl said before hugging the pink-haired girl tightly trying to make her feel better.

After a few seconds, they heard a sound coming from outside, then the door gets opened.

- "We have arrived at his highness castle, you can come out now misses heroines, the king is waiting for you" the soldier said with a kind smile and polite tone.

- "thank you..." Seiras replied with a serious tone while helping Julie to get down from the carriage.

- "welcome misses heroines, I am the king of this castle, we have been waiting for you" the king, as always, showed a pleased smile to the "heroines", at the eyes of the girls, the old man seemed to be a kind person, this helped Julie to calm a little but she didn't let Seiras hand go.

The king noticed this and found it slightly weird, he seemed a little confused by the girls in front of him, while the girls, especially Seiras, knew they couldn't let their guards down in front of this old man only because he seemed to be nice, yet, they get a big surprise when they saw some of their classmates walking in their direction.

- "Al... Alexander? What are you doing here?" Seiras asked with a tone of disbelief.

- "I was the first to get here, and actually, I appeared in this same castle, opposite to all of you..." he replied with a calm demeanor.

Suddenly and at great speed, Trish appeared from behind Alexander and she throws herself to tightly hug her friends.

- "Girls! I'm so happy to see that you are both safe" Trish gave them a huge smile and a few tears rolled down her face.

- "Trish? What are you doing here?" asked Julie while still holding her friend.

- "I got here about an hour ago or so, but that's not important, the good thing is that they found you and now you are safe here in the castle" Trish seemed the most cheerful since she got here, all thanks to seeing her friends.

- "... safe from what? Can someone please explain what is going on?" Seiras asked with a serious tone and a hard expression on her face while looking straight to her classmates.

All the youngsters looked at Alexander and the king, both only nodded their heads and decided to head back inside the castle to explain the situation to the girls.

The next day, Seed-city.

It was a peaceful day in Seed-city, Uriel decided to spend the night in the city by recommendation of Elemeria. Everything seemed to go alright when suddenly one of the scout "Diane" showed herself to Elemeria, who was eating accompanied by Uriel.

- "My lady, a big group of humans are at the entrance of our city" said the woman with a worried and a little irritated tone.

- "humans?" Elemeria and Uriel answered at the same time, although both with very different tones, while Uriel was completely surprised to hear the news, Elemeria had a scowl on her face and a tone that indicated that she was feeling rather annoyed by human presence, even if her eyes said she was actually expecting their visit.

- "Uriel, wait here, I'll go have a chat with the humans" said Elemeria in a serious and hard tone, different to the one she has been using with Uriel since she got there.

- "Is everything alright? Is there anything I can do?" asked Uriel with a worried face, Elemeria only gave her a reassuring smile and shake her head.

- "don't worry, it is not like I wasn't expecting them" once she said that, she stood up and walked followed by the scout Diane.

As Elemeria walked out of her house, the main house of the City, she could see her sisters preparing their bows, whips, and swords.

- "That's the main house of the Diane, let's go soldiers, keep the pace!" there was a high-level knight leading the human group that was formed mostly by soldiers and knights, not exactly a strong team, but their number was a total of 20, way more than the groups that were looking for the other heroes.

After a little walk, the soldiers stopped just in front of the main building, there were a total of 5 Diane, all women with long hair, heights between 1,70 and 1,80, excellently built bodies, and several different weapons, besides, each one of the 5 Diane in front of the soldiers had a different blessing, one with green hair, blue hair, gray hair, orange hair, and finally, at the front of everyone, Elemeria who had silver and red hair.

- "... humans, what is the meaning of so many of you getting into our sacred city?" asked Elemeria in a powerful tone.

- "I bring a message from our majesty, the Great King and ruler of Liberteas, to the Diane... "Diane, as you are a very special kind of Beastiale, the ones whose duty is to take care of the balance of our world, and due to you being the most common ones at having scarlet red hair, which shows your lineage as descendants of the gods, you will be given a chance. I know you're keeping one of the world heroes in your city, if you let the hero come to me to fulfill its mission then no harm will come to your people, however, in case you deny this petition, or in case even one of the soldiers and knights sent were to get hurt, or in the worst-case scenario, killed, you would leave me no choice but to attack your city and your people, for getting in the way of the well-being and future of our loved country" those are the words of our majesty" arrogantly stated one of the soldiers while giving the Diane in front of him a smirk.

The looks of hate and anger didn't wait to be sent to humans, how dare they to get in their city to defy them and threaten them in such an arrogant way? However, probably the one who was the angriest was Elemeria.

- "How dare you? You arrogant bastards!" the Diane with green hair in front of the soldiers was about to lunge forward, she was using a spear and was getting ready to kill each one of them, but she was stopped by Elemeria's hand.

- "don't lose your calm so easily, even though this group is nothing but worm food, it would be problematic if the 4 generals of the king itself come to our city" Elemeria, even with her eyes filled with hatred, still kept as calm as possible in the situation.

- "but... Lady Elemeria, is it really okay to let them take the human girl?" this time the one to talk was a blue-haired Diane with a white staff and a green gem.

- "you should listen to the demonic Diane you've got as your leader, little witch..." said one of the knights with a mocking tone. It was obvious for all of the Diane that most of the humans were giving Elemeria a look of disgust, only because she had some demonic powers, this, of course, made the anger of the Diane to rise.

- "so? Will you give us the hero? Do it quickly, we don't have all day!" said this time the knight in charge of the group, although he was obviously arrogant like his companions, he was the only one who actually looked on guard and who was serious during the whole exchange of words. He and Elemeria looked at each other in the eyes challenging each other with just a look.

- "as if I would let the ones like you to get a hold of Uriel..." Elemeria was already preparing her weapon, as well as the other Diane when another figure came from behind them.

- "WAIT!!!" Uriel got out of the building, and her voice got the attention of everyone.

For one moment, both the Diane and the human soldiers hold their breaths, it was just, the sight of Uriel in front of them, her beautiful facial features, her body, the way the sunlight poured over her making her glow, and those eyes. The humans couldn't do anything but getting on their knees and bow their heads at the sight of her, confusing the human girl, she couldn't understand how the perception of those humans made her look on their eyes, but it wasn't just the humans though. The Diane, just as the humans, could see beauty in the girl, grace, a magnificent aura, there was a glow in her eyes that could charm even the last one member of their race, just a glimpse of the girl let them see the obvious connection the girl had with their race, but, opposite to the humans who bowed their head in her presence, the Diane only stayed still, admiring the beauty of the human girl.

- "Elemeria is not necessary to start a fight over me, although I want to stay here, searching for my friends and classmates is my priority, so... I'll go with them, to make sure everything is okay, and don't worry, I won't let anything happen to this place" Uriel said with a determined smile, while putting her hand on Elemeria's shoulder, after a second of hesitation, she gives Elemeria a tight hug, which was both sad and happy but didn't understand why.

Finally, they separate and Uriel walks in the direction of the soldiers, she raises her hand to wave goodbye to the rest of the Diane, and then she makes a respectful bow to Elemeria.

- "... are you sure? Uriel, you don't have to..." Elemeria asked once she saw Uriel beside a carriage.

Uriel just smiled and then nodded her head before entering the carriage. The moment the girl enters the carriage the human soldiers start to prepare everything to go.

- "I promise you, all of you, one day I'll be back... goodbye, Elemeria" said the girl with a big reassuring smile.

- "Goodbye, Uriel... come back soon" replied the Diane with a sad smile.

- "We're leaving, Lady heroine" one of the knights said with a nervous and shy voice.

Then they parted away from Seed-city right to the king's castle.
