In the night, I told Tait and Laverna about what had happened. Tait started consuming a lot of sweets because she felt as if the night of our arrival was being relived in her mind. As for Laverna, she faced the reality of our arrival day and what happened with Athena in the same session, and she kept swearing that I would bring my own destruction someday, as well as the destruction of Carmina, to the point where you would believe that Delta embodied it.
After a heavy day, Achil came again. I was already prepared for his visit, with the lights on. Achil wondered if I was celebrating something.
I poured the tea slowly while Achil curiously looked at this strange tranquility. I handed him the tea, then looked into Achil's eyes and said, "You shouldn't come here again." His eyes trembled, and it seemed as if he anticipated the reason. "Is it because of my engagement?" he asked. I replied, "Yes, no girl wants her husband to sleep in another bed, especially at the beginning of their marriage!" Achil continued hesitantly, "But all my brothers do it."
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
I looked at him disapprovingly and said, "But you're not like them, are you?" Achil blushed, as he always praised himself as different than his other brother. Then, like an obedient puppy, he asked, "Until when?" I stopped to think, but all the answers were different.
Sometimes I wished he would forget my existence and never come again, and other times I wanted him so that I wouldn't become a victim of this palace. After a long silence, I answered him, "Until I call for you." The answer seemed more satisfying to him than it was to me, and he couldn't hide his smile no matter how hard he tried.
Achil's marriage was arranged quickly after that, and within two months, his palace was ready and his wife was fully prepared. However, Achil continued to visit me during those two months and swore that he wouldn't come after his marriage until I accepted his presence.
