‘Elvira! Come here my darling.’
A lady smiled at a girl, but I couldn’t see her clearly.
‘Come here, come here.’
I saw the little girl run to her.
‘My dearest darling.’ She kissed her. She hugged her. She loved her.
She smiled. ‘You know, Elvira? You are my heart. You are my daughter. You are everything to me, everything.’
A noise woke me up.
I opened my eyes. Where was I? What was that weird dream? I could hear someone talking to another one with Mahanish. Have we already arrived at Mahania? Where is Luinseer and Arnold? I could hear someone playing Hundan (a traditional instrument of Mahania). The sound was so soft, beautiful. I shook my head. I was in the swampland with them. We met a grant monster, we ran but we couldn’t, but we defeated it. Then we got lost. Then……ah I couldn’t remember, it was just like someone stole it, the memory from me. I realised where I was, I was in a bad, comfortable bed that can make you feel sleepy. I sat up. My eyes were blurred, but I could see a person was walking towards me. Then my eyes went clear. And I could see who that person was. It was Luinseer.
‘Good morning, well, or good afternoon. Have you slept well? You slept for two days! It was a long sleep, wasn't it?’ Luinseer said. He sat down on an oaken chair.
‘TWO DAYS? When did you wake up? Haven’t you two been waiting for me for a long time?’ I was surprised. I was still thinking about that dream. ‘Elvira, Elvira.’ I whispered.
‘Are you all right?’ He asked.
This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
‘Yes, of course.’ I said. ‘By the way. When did you wake up?’
‘Just a minute ago.’ He laughed.
‘Oh Luin! Where are we now?’ I frowned. I looked around. I thought I had been here before, but I couldn’t remember anything. What was the matter with me?
‘I should ask you that. The people. They look like Mahanish. Maybe you should try to talk to them. I think they saved our lives. I’m sure you don’t remember. I will tell you. He signed. ‘We were lost. We couldn’t find the way out. You were exhausted and sleepy. But you mustn’t sleep. We tried to keep you awake, but you still fell asleep. The magic failed, and we began to trap the swamp. When the swamp was over my head, I closed my eyes as Arnold did. And when we opened our eyes, we were here.’
‘Do you remember how they saved us?’ I asked. I was exhausted indeed.
‘No, I can’t. I don’t know if they saved us. Nothing is certain yet.’
‘Oh you woke up! I thought you’d never wake up.’ Arnold walked in. He didn't look bad. He stood in front of me and Luinseer. He was holding a stick with Gogunba leafs intertwined on it(it usually intertwined on a magic wand). He handed it to me.
‘Here.’
‘What’s this?’ I was confused.
‘You know what this is. It’s your new magic wand.’ He said. ‘Your old wand was broken. They are fixing it.’ I looked at my pocket. My wand is not in it. I stood up and walked to the door. ‘Come on. I will try to talk to them.’ The scene outside the door was one of breathtaking beauty. Houses have a pleasant outlook over the valley. The gigantic pine-forests, on the pointed crags, seemed almost like little tufts of heather, coloured by the surrounding clouds.
Still the same.
‘Here……’ I was shocked.
‘Is the Valley Of Mahania.’ A lady helped me finish my sentence. ‘Welcome back, Liv.’
‘Auntie Eleanor!’ I screamed. I ran to her with surprise. She’s still the same. She didn’t change her long blond hair, green eyes and……her amiableness.
‘Walk?’
‘Sure.’ I smiled.
‘So. I will tell you everything,’ she said, ‘on the road.’
