How strange is that when the rain stopped, a bright sun shows up. I started to hate this weather. I loved the rain, of course. I did playing in the rain when I was a kid and during Elementary days.
However, I am 14 years old now, growing up, and my schoolmates had girlfriends already. No. Am not thinking to get one, but I felt like something should have changed, at least.
Like how the weather changes...
In a bright morning, suddenly a heavy rain pours by noon, or when on the way home in the evening.
I step out of my bedroom and went to the kitchen to fix my lunch. It's 11:30, but it seems, the rain will pour down at any moment.
Yesterday, I did plan to walk around the forest, a little distant in the back of our house, not that far to find the trail. I was thinking, maybe not that bad to go have a walk even on a rainy day.
After am done having my lunch, I received a text message from mom, I replied to her. I then run back to my bedroom and change my clothes quickly. I wore a white T-shirt and tuck in it on my jeans. I am deciding if what color of a jacket I will pair with it. But since it looks rain gonna drop, I will wear a hoodie.
After being ready to go, I packed some snack and put in my bag in case I will get stuck later. It was my mom who taught me. She was a registered nurse and working in the town's small hospital. I heard she was working before in the city. Then choose to work in the town when a hospital opened here.
There is another gossip I heard that mom met my dad after a huge flood suddenly came in the river lies just before you entered our town. He was badly wounded and mom who take care of him at the hospital. Well, you already knew what happens next. But then, dad died in the same place at that bridge. The same event, there is a huge flood in the river. No one really knows what happens, he died before I was born.
I was now outside my house, and it was cold outside. I embraced myself before I step forward. I actually could not tell mom am planning for this. I just told her I have projects and assignments to finish, for her not to check on me countless times until her shift is done.
I started walking the trail, and now I am going into the deeper part of the forest. Somehow, I can't feel any fear. Probably I take it from mom or dad, maybe? I really don't know. Mom just met him and fall in love, then, he is gone. I think if dad was still alive, we do this together, and more fun things we will do together.
Right now, I am about to cross the creek. I look around and check the water. My mom always reminding me to check the streams if any changes or strange behavior of the water. I think, there's no way a sudden flood coming. Though it's cloudy, the rain didn't pour all night. So I decided to cross the creek and continue to follow this trail in this forest.
After less than an hour of walking, I finally arrived in my favorite spot. I just found it recently. I saw many stumps around and I choose one to sit on. I check my phone if a signal still reaching around here. I could have one or two bars but sometimes gone.
I release the backpack in my shoulder and set aside in the stump. I get up and check around. I think it's safer.
I did notice this before. The trees are kind of alike, so I decided to put a mark on where I came from. After am done putting marks on them, I gather a few twigs to burn up. Enough to warm me or at least, somebody knows someone is here.

I finished setting up the fire, so I sit closer. I take out the food I brought and start eating some. I hit up my phone and listen to my favorite band. I brought my tablet too so that I could play a game.
I think, not so long had passed. It was quite so I could hear the music very clear, but I could feel something.
I could feel the ground is shaking. I rose from the stump and observes the forest if what's going on. Is it a quake? But I think it's not.
Then a strong wind blew from the opposite side of the forest where I came from.
"Woah. What's that? A storm coming?" I asked myself. Of course, am the only one here.
I carefully watching at that side, when a colorful light explodes on that part.
"Woah. Fireworks? In this forest? No way!"
I run towards that part of the forest to check out what's going on. But I was surprised by what I found. Tall men in armor fighting another group of men. No. You can't call them men! They have horns! They look ugly! And they more like a monster!
I could hear my heart beating so fast. "No way. What is this? A dream? No. A movie shoot! But it's not! There's no camera around or people like the film crew!"
I peep around to see if this is just a movie shoot. No. I can't find any! I know, am screaming inside my head.
The two flocks continue fighting. There's a rumbling, exploding and---- the tree am hiding is on fire! And it's falling down on me!
But to my surprise, the fire was gone and the tree putting back to where it stood.
"Whoa!" That's a shock for me. "How that happens?"
I peep back and I saw some female-like magically kill the fire and put them back to where it stood.
"Who are they?" I asked loudly though no ones here but me.
"And who are you?" a deep voice suddenly speaks behind me.
"Ahhhhhhh!!" I screamed when I saw an ugly face with a horn behind me. So I run. But I stumbled on the hill and rolled down.
"What are you doing here?" Asked by a huge man. He picks me up like it's nothing to him.
"You're ear? It's like?" I am like passing out.
"Just sit here. Stay down!" He commanded.
"O-okay. I will!" After I said it, he rushes to his enemy.
I was so amazed. He fights so coolly! He just sweeps away three people in one smash. But the enemy not planning to get defeated by, they were strong too, and powerful.
I saw one is trying to gather a huge volume of water. After he gathered what he needed, he tried to throw it towards us. But one of the females tried to block it, a male trying to help her. They were trying to lift it up above but the enemy trying to hold it.
The tall people with strange ears did manage to block the huge volume of the water. Another female help them using her capability of wind manipulation. They lift it up higher then it explodes above us. Big water drops pouring down in the forest. The monster that looks demons got angry.
"Gotcha!" A monster sneak behind me! He pulls me up and waving in the air. "I got him! Hahahhahah!!!" The monster roaring.
I wriggle to be freed from him. The other monster laughing and cheering. The men with strange ears stop fighting.
"Put him down." Commanded by one of the strange ear men. I think he is the leader.
"Who are you to command me?" The monster scolds him.
"Then I will just cut your arm," said of a man in a cloak, then his sword swung and cut the monster's arm that held me. I was thrown into the ground. I think, the monster burned down and vanished. But, I felt dizzying to watch the fight furthermore... I lose consciousness.
When I opened my eyes, two beautiful pairs of eyes watching me. They giggled when I suddenly got up and take a few steps back away from them.
"Seems he is okay and break nothing of his body," said a girl a few steps from me. She arranges her arrow.
"Who are you? All of you?" I asked nervously.
"We who should ask you that," said of the leader. "Who are you? Why you could see us? You are just a human."
I don't know how to answer them. I am sure I am human. But why he needs to stress that I am just a human?
"Wait!" I realized something. "Are you all, elves?!" I finally burst out. Everyone just staring at each other.
"Only them, but am not." Said of the man who saves me. The one cut the arm of the monster.
"They are not monsters, they are demons," said of the man on a cloak

[While the boy passes out. This is what happens.]
The monster growl in pain after his left arm was cut.
"Who are you!!?" The monster tried to attack him. But he was fast. He swings his blade once more and the monster burnt out.
All the monster startled and get angry. The man on cloak stand and raise his sword.
"THEY CALLED ME, MICHAEL."
He swoops all the monster in mere seconds using his sword.
