You probably wonder what's going on, as I rarely talk in separate chapters.

The next chapter, which is bound to be rather big, will wrap the first part of the core plot for TFE, afterwards I am going to start anew with a full rewrite. thx for sup, nice holidays' yada yada, etc...

As I was saying, a Calibration, or in your case a Christmas and the end of the year, are coming. For us, the Calibration is one in a year opportunity to perform rare rituals and to cast uniquely powerful spells which means that there won't be any further releases this year; it is also a time of closure, where events of the past are scrutinized and considered, whether they should be taken up onto the future.

Firstly, I wanted to thank everyone that supported this story, be it by comments, ratings(yes, I watch the comments in the reputation window), favourites or follows. Special thanks to the third and second plan heroes who likely do not know that they did anything... well they did and some are none the wiser, that's what being a third plan hero means. Still, you would be surprised about how many of you I saw and hence know about.

Secondly, after considering this year, I believe it was a good one. The story went forward, the plot didn't break and the translation enchant on my magic mirror grew thicker than you can imagine, or so I would like to say since you have read the newer chapters...

Well, you are right on that. The early chapters...correction, almost half of the chapters, are not good enough... at least not in my mirror. While plot was mostly good, and I am a real fan of chapter one, especially after rewrite...

...at least plot vise, but still, many chapters lack a bit of a...hmm ...drive or vision, some arcs end up prematurely and some characters or events are just woefully bereft of description and/or impact. All of that upsets me greatly, especially since my GPS...

...shows me the untapped potential that I wasted in early days of the story, when my depiction spells were still awkward and flawed. Also, when I compare my story with the level, which matches my title :P, that I set for myself I feel bad every time that I see a part of the plot that failed. Hence, I decided to restart the story, the plot might and will change, but the core will stay the same - Almisha, whom I adore…

...the truth about the world, it's magic systems and many of the character's, though how the story will pan out will probably vary since there were happenings that turned out short or failed, one might consider TFE one of the unfulfilled visions of the future. If I had to point a source, the main flaw, I would say “rashness” I introduced too much plot points too soon and didn’t show them up properly, resulting in subpar outcome.

I do hope that you won't begrudge me for wrapping up the story early...

[Well, it shows that Overlords ain’t politicians, you should have said it's a delay before improvement...Also, you even promised an epilogue…]

...though if you want then feel free to, as I heard that we are running low on slaves manning a salt mine...

To end on a positive note, I hope that you will enjoy the epilogue chapter, which will have POV’s for sure, and then the revamp of the story, also I wish that the follow up will match up to my expectations. This has been a long year and it feels like my skills have improved considerably. Only regret that I have is being unable to reach the mark that I set for myself, of reaching 100 favs before the Calibration, still it wasn't a bad run for a first attempt at writing at foreign place.

EDIT So far the progress is slow but stable. I plan to amass around 20k worth of content before releasing anything. Eta for that is still unknown though
