It’s been hours since the two guys left and I’m bored. I look at my arm. What if they come back and realize I've gotten a life? Will they question me or stay quiet? I can jeopardize my alliance with them.
I go out and leave the camp. I need more lives.
…
I find a small camp with three women. I recognize one of them. It was the old lady and she was my first kill. She was super easy to kill. Maybe I can do it again. I sneak behind a tree and wait for the other two to leave. But they won't budge.

I get impatient. I need to strike. I take the dagger I used to kill the man last night and go for it. But one of the girls notices and shouts.
“Mary! Watch out!” She reaches out her arm as she shouts. Mary moves and rolls onto the ground. She breathes heavily. The other girl runs up to me and tries to attack. She fails as I jolt out. They shout at me frustrated.
I arrive out of breath and feel like I'm about to pass out. I never stopped sprinting from the camp to the cave. I'm disappointed with my failure but the men never have to know. I'll pretend I killed her.
I go back into the cave and look at the bear's head lying on the ground. I need to make good use of it. I pick it up and begin my work, forgetting my little adventure from before.
