Her Seventh Chapter

Her Seventh Chapter

Rush Rush Rush. Going to be done soon!

The large shell flew up gracefully, and turned midair. It then started to dive down, flying towards the back end of the enemies.

Then it landed.

“Bzz.”

I agree, I totally agree.

Elanor is so scary.

Well, she only lent me one shot of this, but it wiped out most of the weaker monsters. Its range is so huge that I actually damaged most of the vanguard as well. I was worried for a second, but they were cheering so hard that I can just assume that they’re okay with it.

They’re calling for more shots, but my cannon is steaming so much that everyone beside me stepped away.

Well, there isn’t anything for me to do for now, so I activated Ducky’s view as I set my cannon down. As I flew him around, I activated one of his attacks.

A hatch opened below Ducky, and a miniature Gatling gun rolled out. I targeted various enemies and sprayed bullets on them, but the shots are quite weak, and the gun heats up horribly fast. It entered overheat lockdown even before it killed anything.

“Alferdo.”

“Bszt?”

“Remind me to improve Ducky if we survive.”

“Zzt.”

I fired two more waves of bullets, then returned the control back to Ducky. Then I ordered Alferdo to pick up my cannon and follow me. And with that done, I slid down into the pit. Alferdo, on the other hand, simply jumped down.

“Alferdo. Support the vanguard. Focus on evasion, and defense.” I told him as my cannon was passed to me. I quickly reloaded my cannon and activated command for Ducky.

I raised my cannon and waited for Ducky as he flew above the enemies, marking them for my cannon, and as my cannon pulsed, I fired.

Missiles rained down on the enemies, and more of them were wiped. The army cheered at the spectacle.

The minotaur looked slightly enraged, but it continued pressing on the vanguard. With the morale boosted, they resisted the attacks and slowly wiped off the monsters while Shiina, the archers and the sorceress fired attack after attack into the dwindling enemy army. With the constant buffs of the priests and mercenaries, victory is eminent.

I armed one of the strongest single target missiles I had an aimed at the minotaur. With this shot, the battle would end.

But the Minotaur had different ideas.

It suddenly roared loudly, stunning almost everyone nearby, and he pushed away the people in front of him while charging through the vanguard.

Directly towards me.

The shot was not yet ready, and with no way to stop it, I moved my cannon to the side to block the incoming axe swing, but even so I was blasted away. Most others beside me was not so lucky, and the top of their bodies suddenly flew off.

And then I smashed into the wall.

Full control.

It was one of the things which I want, but also I don’t.

I turned the pistols to magic mode, and fired two shots at the Minotaur. The shots, compared to the other attacks, simply pierced into the Minotaur, causing it to roar and turn to me angrily.

I saw Mecha duck fly towards Shiina, and soon I got a notification that she was okay.

Well, now that’s done I just need to stall until she’s ready to fight.

“Shiina!”

I groaned painfully. Someone was probing all my sore spots, and it’s hurting quite badly.

Oh, my whole body is hurting.

“Life force! Blazing heart!”

As the waves of magic flowed though me, the pain in my body slowly decreased.

“Shiina, are you okay?” A familiar voice shouted, and I forced my eyes open.

“Mel?”

“Thank god. I thought we lost you just now, you were bleeding so much!” She said as she hugged me.

I groaned as I saw the numbers. If I had been even a little bit slower in blocking, or if I took any damage from the shots above, I would have been dead by now. “Thanks Mel, I’m fine now, is the battle still on?”

“Yeah, I’m going to rejoin them now. Get some rest, your Golem is leading the main force. He’s so awesome though!”

“I know.” I said and laughed weakly. “Go help them, I’ll slowly recover here.”

“Okay~”, She and got on her staff, I saw her face change for a bit before she flew off, shouting, “Burn, Burn BURRRRNNN.”

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

She screamed as she charged straight towards the Minotaur.”

the screen was in front of me for some time, but I denied it. If Alferdo was still fighting for

32 minutes, possible 32, he would be using his maximum output by now. Turning it off would possibly kill all of us.

Suddenly I heard a click, and I finally realized that Ducky was beside me. He had a hatch open, which had a hand print. It was a system I made to extract energy from my machines, and I used it instantly. Ducky couldn’t do anything at this point, and I need to help Alferdo soon. As I charged my armor, I walked out of the new cave I made.

The army basically had about 30 injured people and 8 fighting. Alferdo was leading the battle while Mel was flying around, burning all parts of the minotaur.

Well, that’s all the power he had, now for the final shot.

My reserve energy dropped by 50%, and the call was made. After that, I gave Alferdo a notification. The battle continued for a whole 10 minutes before a familiar drone flew into the pit, it flew down and placed a crate beside me before flying off quickly.

I clicked my sniper into Semi-Auto mode, and aimed as I sent Alferdo a ready signal. After he dodged a hit, he fired his final two shots, one of the element Fire, and the other of the element Water. They pierced into the body of the Minotaur, and connected inside.

And then the shots exploded.

At this point, everyone had already assumed that the battle is over, and they dropped their weapons, sitting down or running to the injured. Mel herself collapsed to the ground, exhausted. The only one left for me to have a clear shot is Alferdo.

“Take away Alferdo’s full command. Alferdo, drop all attack and focus fully in defense. Use all your main power source.”

The minotaur got up and swiped Alferdo away, and he stepped forwards. The step, followed by the sound of Alferdo crashing to the ground, broke everyone’s illusion. The ones closest to the minotaur was already crying at this point.

It raised its axe.

And I fired 3 shots.

The first into its neck.

The next into its chest.

And the final one at its head.

The 3 shots flew out simultaneously, and struck one after the other.

With his axe raised, the first shot into its neck caused it to stagger.

The second shot pierced into it, and pushed the Minotaur back.

And the last shot killed it.

And it fell to the ground.

I dropped my sniper to the ground.

And let loose all the emotions I had suppressed.

The battle is over.

For now.

I was crying while hugging Mel, who was also crying, when Alferdo came over with the report.

The death rate was more than 95%, and there are only 3 people who could still fight. None which would want to.

In a way, it was a miracle that anyone survived at all. The minotaur was about 40 levels higher than me, and 50 higher than the average level of the army we came with. In fact, if Elanor’s notes did not mention the final rage of the minotaur, or if I didn’t complete the sniper, we would have been wiped.

Alferdo, Ducky and my armor all had run out of their main power, Ducky had its secondary power drained too. For now all

I could do is wait for my power to recharge enough to call for a battery.

There are less than 15 people left in the camp. Most of the people who were injured were being brought back to Saint Haven.

In our current situation, if some goblins or a few orcs from the pit wandered here, we would be wiped totally.

There was no fire, and most people are asleep, or rather, unconscious.

Alferdo set Mel, who had cried herself to sleep, on the ground, and he deactivated himself.

There was little we could do for now, except to wait for the veterans to come.

But something was bugging me.

I recalled a scene from Ducky’s footage.

It was a short moment, but in the heat of the battle, nobody had noticed a few skeletons flying out randomly.

It was as if they were pushed to their death, or another death, or something.

Non-mechanical stuff are hard to understand.

I don’t know, but something is telling me that I could go into the cave. There were too many unanswered questions. Their

archers could have wiped us, but we survived, even if its less than a tenth of them left.

Not to mention, there were too little mobs in the pit. They had outnumbered us by 2 to 1, but from the notes it would be at least 4 to 1, and there could be even up to 10k of them just outside, but where did all the monsters go to?
