Poll 2, about the Orc Lord.

Hello readers, I know that I said I would follow whatever decision you guys would choose but as most of you voted for Yargul killing the Orc King, I began to think and realized that I shouldn't have put that option up there. I am sorry, I do recognize that this is my fault for placing the option up there without thinking too deeply.

Anyways, I just want to clarify that Yargul is still far weaker than the Orc King. I know that not much is said about the Orc King other than he is at the pinnacle of Orckind and that he possesses the Sword of Korbus, a sword that has been feeding nearly daily on large quantities of orcish blood for a millennium. That compared to the Yargul who is between twenty and thirty years of age, well logically I see no way Yargul could win on his own power, which most of you seemed to vote for.

Sure he has the power of the earth and the black ice armor but I don't see that being able to deflect a strike from the Sword of Korbus. Also not much is known on the Sword and I do apologize for that but when the Surveyor managed to study the sword, he fed it an enormous amount of blood until it couldn't eat anymore. After this, the sword was capable of splitting the earth and mountains in two and although the real Sword of Korbus has not yet reached its full potential, probably like a tenth or even less, I have no doubt that it would easily be able to cut through the stone armor or even the black ice armor that Yargul possesses.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

It is far more plausible that, if the Orc King is still to arrive by your decision, the Orc King either kills him or makes Yargul his servant, after all, the Surveyor did promise that it would only help Yargul once, with the Earth Ape, and the Surveyor isn't one to go back on its promise. Then again, the Orc King could just not arrive at all, although this big battle is likely going to be the finale, there will be small pockets of fighting afterward but most of the main powers will have either won or been defeated. In such an important battle, the Orc King would be almost foolish not to attend. After all, if he just let the winners be, the winners may gain enough support to unite Orcking against the King.

And as for Korbus making him a Chosen One, that could still sort of happen, like Korbus recognizes Yargul as a powerful warrior and gives him a blessing. Yargul won't be unique as the Orc King and many of the King's elite army have also attained this blessing.

So Yargul can only kill the Orc King is by ridiculous plot armor, such as the Surveyor interfering or some other ridiculous method. Once again I do recognize that this is my fault for not thinking about it properly so I do apologize. So please do vote again with this new knowledge in mind, I will follow whatever decision you guys make on this one.
