Ch 023_The meeting of the kings and queens of the Nuswantorra Union

The atmosphere in the vast round meeting room felt majestic within the Majapahit Kingdom Palace. The kings, each accompanied by their strongest guards, created an atmosphere filled with authority and tension in the room.

“What kind of pressure is this?” thought one of the Majapahit soldiers stationed at the door inside the room. “Glekk,” he swallowed hard, sweat beginning to bead at his temples, even though all the leaders inside were merely sitting in silence.

“I never expected, King Hayam Wuruk, that the elite Bhayangkara forces of the Majapahit Kingdom could be defeated so easily. The Raksha creature that appeared must be incredibly strong,” said King Aituha.

“Indeed, I also didn’t expect this to happen, considering that our elite Bhayangkara forces are the best Fatalis Majapahit has,” replied King Hayam Wuruk with a tone full of disappointment.

“However, we must thank Queen Danush for providing reinforcements to drive the Raksha back,” said King Bunu.

“But what’s even more surprising, I heard that one of your people’s children was able to fight the Raksha on an equal level of threat,” said King Manurung.

“Yes, I am fortunate because he happens to be a descendant of our Fatalis. He is also the direct pupil of one of the greatest Fatalis we have, Vitjendra,” replied King Hayam Wuruk.

“Who is that, Your Majesty?” asked King Diraja, an elf.

“He is the descendant of Drukja Abhiseka,” answered King Hayam Wuruk.

However, a different expression appeared on the faces of King Diraja and Queen Danush upon hearing the name Abhiseka.

Upon hearing all this, the kings were surprised to learn that the Fatalis, known as the King of Fire, still had living descendants.

Meanwhile, at the main training grounds of the Majapahit soldiers, the atmosphere was filled with noise. The young Fatalis trained diligently, the sounds of weapons clashing and commands from trainers echoing in the air. At the corner of the field, Admiral Gajah Mada stood tall, observing them with sharp eyes full of scrutiny.

Heavy footsteps were heard approaching from behind, though the sound almost got drowned out by the commotion of the young soldiers. Gajah Mada glanced sideways and recognized the figure—Admiral Vitjendra.

“Well, you seem quite busy ever since becoming an admiral, Mada,” said Vitjendra, crossing his arms over his chest, a small smile playing on his lips.

Gajah Mada sighed quietly, his eyes still fixed on the young Fatalis training. “Yeah, senior. Sometimes, I feel a bit lazy doing it.”

“Is it because you’re not as free as you used to be?” asked Vitjendra, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.

“I don’t know…” Mada shrugged, expressionless. “But I’m starting to get bored. After years of being an admiral, every day is just about handling royal documents. No more battles, no more challenges.”

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

Vitjendra chuckled softly and gave Gajah Mada a hearty pat on the back. “Hey, you’re known as the strongest admiral of Nuswantara. Don’t let a pile of documents make you lose your edge. Hahaha!”

“Tch,” Mada responded in a low voice, clearly irritated by the jest. He finally turned his gaze to Vitjendra. “Oh, I heard you took on a pupil, senior.”

“Yes,” replied Vitjendra briefly, his expression becoming a bit more serious.

“Who is this person that you would take them as your pupil?”

Vitjendra smiled faintly. “He’s the grandson of your rival.”

Mada’s eyes immediately narrowed, his forehead furrowing. “What?!” His voice sounded higher, as though the name brought up unpleasant memories.

Vitjendra chuckled quietly, clearly enjoying the reaction of his junior. “Yeah, I’m sure he’ll surpass his grandfather by far. His abilities are extraordinary for someone so young.”

“So, you think he has the potential to be stronger than both of us?” asked Mada, his tone serious.

“Not just potential. I’m almost certain he’ll surpass us.”

Their conversation was briefly halted before Vitjendra casually introduced a new topic. “By the way, why aren’t you accompanying the kings in this meeting?”

“That task was given to Admiral Dhirga,” replied Mada briefly, as if not particularly concerned by the question.

However, a wide grin appeared on Vitjendra’s face. He leaned in slightly, his gaze full of meaning. “Heh, don’t tell me you did it on purpose. You must be eager to meet Queen Danush Taraka, right? Hehe.”

Hearing that name, Mada’s body stiffened slightly. He fell silent, his thoughts seemingly drifting to the past. She was the only woman he had ever confessed his love to—and the only one who had firmly rejected him.

“Mmm... if it’s that…” Mada tried to compose himself, then lifted his head, staring at the blue sky above them. “I don’t know.” A small smile graced his lips, but there was a melancholic gleam in his eyes.

Vitjendra just laughed softly, letting the topic hang in the air. Around them, the young Fatalis continued training, unaware of the heavy conversation taking place near them.

#flashback

In the past, Gajah Mada had been practicing walking on the surface of the sea to find a vast place. Suddenly, a Titan monster emerged and attacked him with its giant tail, creating massive waves. However, because the mystical creature was protected by the Nuswantora Union, Gajah Mada couldn’t attack it directly. All he could do was defend and dodge its attacks carefully.

“Boom, boom, boom.”

From the middle of the water, suddenly a voice shouted, “Stop!” The Titan ceased its attack and disappeared into the water. From the depths of the water emerged a beautiful, scaly woman. Gajah Mada, seeing this, was stunned and frozen by her beauty.

“I’m sorry, that creature is difficult to control,” said the beautiful queen.

“Oh, it’s alright. I’ll be fine,” answered Gajah Mada.

Since that meeting, Gajah Mada had confessed his love every time he met Queen Danush and asked her to be his wife. He had declared his love hundreds of times, yet Queen Danush had never once accepted his Marriage invitation.

The Matsytatian race is a creature that lives in the depths of the ocean. This race is always led by a queen, but the Matsytatian queen is not born through biological relations. She is born from the Heart of Matsytatian, a sacred place located at the center of the Masalembo Kingdom, which is believed to be the heart of the Nuswantorra sea. The beauty of every Matsytatian queen is the manifestation of mystical energy from the universe. Because of this, Queen Danush is known for her unparalleled beauty and has become the symbol of purity itself.

#flashback end

Back in the meeting of the kings and queens, they discussed all the investigative reports from the territories of their respective kingdoms. After analyzing the data, they found a striking pattern related to the Raksha attacks.

The Raksha forces seem to only attack rural areas that lack strict military defenses. Even more suspiciously, each time they appear, there are always large stones that resemble gravestones, adorned with mystical mantra patterns. Based on the investigation so far, the mystical patterns on these stones are known to be an ancient spell used to open portals.
