CHAPTER 1 ; BEFORE LIFE THERE IS DEATH.
The sound of silence echoes across the town. A small girl who has not even turned fifteen stands on trial for execution. The townsfolk who seem to ignore the current events have a somewhat pleased look but do not utter a word. The executioner asks the girl if she has any last words with a peaceful smile nods her head and a sudden swing the girls head rolls off the podium they had been standing on.
A child with white hair that seemed to have a grayish tint to it wakes in a cabin. He rubs his ruby red eyes, seeming to still be tired but nonetheless awakens. While in this state of drowsiness he waddles past a table almost stumbling over a dropped wooden stool but that seems to have woken the child from his drowsiness he looks around the cabin which only had two stools a wooden table and chimney but even so the place was unnaturally clean the boy was delighted it seems his sister had cleaned it for him he subconsciously thanked her for lightning he's load of tasks. The boy had then begun what had been a daily task for him. These tasks included;
picking twigs and wood from the floor. he'd usually have to use an axe to cut tree branches and such but he had been lucky today there were a bunch of them laying on the ground
Although that's where his luck usually ended because while picking berries seems easy to most it's really not finding berries requires a pre written list and good eyesight the boy couldn't recall how many times he'd picked poison berries so he had to be quite careful after berries would be vegetables for stew he would usually get those from an old man but he wasn't at their usually meeting place. After waiting a while the boy assumed the old man was busy and decided to head home.

He was pretty far away from his destination so on the way he'd whistle songs his sister sang.
When he'd finally gotten back from scavenging he'd start a fire but there was one already lit when he'd gotten back and the old man who'd sold him produce was sitting on one of the stools with a stern yet sad look.
“Xaos come here”
The man called the boys name in a soft silent expression that did not match his face in the least
Xaos feeling that the old man was serious walked over in silence and sat on the sool opposite to the old man “ how old are you now xaos” eleven the old man grumbled at the answer and then began rubbing his long golden gray beard. xaos then asked if the old man was sent by his sister the old man at first hesitant to answer replied yes.
The old man Realizing he was being too tense, decided to tell a joke to lighten the room but was met by a disappointed look.
The man then explained to xaos that his sister wouldn't be returning for a few days. xaos had seemed sad. Noticing this he stood and walked over to the chimney before calling xaos over
“Xaos have you ever cooked anything before” xaos nodded no with a curious look in his eyes
“Well then guess you should learn, want me to teach you” a swift yes that seemed to have vanquished his previous sad look
