The POV

Azalon: So here I am about to go to war with what seems like a bunch of Mercs more than anything. I don’t believe this is the royal guard or army for that matter. But I can’t complain to much considering the king pretty much adopted me. Took me in after I forgot all that matters. Gave me a home, gave me a personal liaison. So when he asked me to lead this brigade to punish the elves and the demons who have murdered, killed, raped, and kidnapped his people. I couldn’t really say no. So we march on this dreary day, by the time we reached the battlefield it was drizzling. There was 2 other armies besides us the elves and the demons. These mercs were ready hired by the king to whoop some ass. Their was all types of people I think I even saw a dwarf or a gnome. There was a lot 500 people ready for a blood bath. There was no speech or hype up moment, they just drew their weapons. A few spell casters where readying up spells or whatever it is that they do. Then I heard a elf yell something and everyone started to charge. And that’s when the gods showed us they were angry. The sky opened up the rain stop the clouds parted and the biggest fireball I have ever seen fell from the heavens and killed everyone except me it ripped almost all my armor off and left my clothes in rags. It left me speechless. Three armies gone in a matter of minutes. All I saw was bodies just burning to ash, the shockwave took out most. Even the demons fell to the fire. It was like death it self had come to claim all these souls. I went to ground zero. I wanted, I needed to see what had killed so many. I wanted to ask death was I not worthy. As I came up on the crater. I saw a rock that was falling apart and smoking and a naked man standing on top he was 6’5 looked about 220 solid muscle dirty blonde hair and green eyes. All I could muster to say was “So this is what a god looks like.”
