Chapter 1- The encounter in the gardens

Azeroth managed to uncover some information about his current surroundings from his memories. He was currently on the planet of Delphion. It was the Oracle’s planet and was named after the ancient spirit of prophecy. The Oracle occupied the planet where the cube resided and monitored the cube’s activities. She also took charge of the Exalted one’s. Azeroth was confused at first at why the various forces in the universe would allow one person to take responsibility of the cube. ‘The Oracle is the only publicly known neutral figure who is powerful enough to take upon such a duty so it’s only natural that the different factions agree to her role’ thought Azeroth.’ Enough of this, I should head out and check the place’, thought Azeroth and he went on his way.

He was currently walking through the walls of headquarters of the Exalted one’s, the Viralok. The technology in this universe was much more advanced than the that of Earth. Holographic displays pointed him towards the gardens from where he could see large battleships stationed in the sky and small ships whizzing by.

‘Holy shit, this is unbelievable’, thought Azeroth. Even though he saw the Oracle, he still had some doubts in his mind but now his suspicion was crumbling down. He took a look around the garden and saw that it was filled with strange and exotic plants that he had never seen before. ’Such plants aren’t in the memories of that guy, so these must be very rare and unique’ thought Azeroth as he wandered through the garden. “Hey boy, looks like you’ve finally woken up”, an arrogant but beautiful voice sounded out. Azeroth turned to look at the voice and found himself staring at a hot and sexy redhead adorned in a regal armour. Her boy was voluptuous with all the curves in the right places and her bust was very generous. Her sun kissed skin went well with her hair and she looked to be in her twenties. Azeroth just stood there in a daze while looking at the beauty before his eyes.” Tch, seen enough boy?”, said the woman. Azeroth quickly awoke from his daze and blushed.’ She’s gorgeous’ thought Azeroth. He quickly greeted her” Greetings princess Diana, I did not expect to see you here”. Memories flashed through his mind and he uncovered the beauties identity. Diana Raiza, the first princess of the Amazons and a mighty warrior with unparalleled martial prowess. She too was an Exalted one like him.

She was a martial cultivator otherwise known as practitioners who cultivate qi. They are known for their strong bodies and martial skills. The details of such things could be considered later as right now Diana was looking at Azeroth strangely.’ He’s not hunching down anymore and he dares meet my eyes, hmm weird’, thought Diana. Such thoughts were normal as Azeroth was commoner and more so a person from the slums. Such a person being chosen as an Exalted one was strange enough and facing people who were basically gods and could crush him with but a thought was a terrifying ordeal. But how could she know that a new soul inhabited the person before her. Azeroth of the past was no more and right now the person before her was a person who was from modern earth.

“It seems you have recovered, I amazed at how one could be at death’s door after a bout of drinking boy”, said the princess of Amazons said with mockery. Ignoring her mocks and her irritating way of calling him a boy, Azeroth thought about the drinking part.’ So that explains what happened to the previous owner of this body’, thought Azeroth. The alcohol overdose must have killed the boy.’ Seems suspicious though’, thought Azeroth. Thoughts of being poisoned entered his mind, but he quickly shook those away. The Oracle’s physicians would not hide such a matter and the Oracle herself could easily detect such a poison with her magical abilities.’ Oh man, to die from alcohol overdose, that’s so embarrassing’ thought Azeroth. He responded to the princess with a laugh, “I got a little excited and drank more than I should princess, after all it is not every day a person such as I gets to dine with the divine”. ‘What’s wrong with this guy, he spoke another sentence to me, could it be that the near death experience messed with his mind?’, thought the princess.” Well you should go meet your new team mates now that you are up and walking”, said the princess while walking away. A person of her calibre did not need to mind such an insignificant and weak character.

Azeroth couldn’t help but sight after seeing her walk away like that, but it was to be expected. Within days of his arrival Azeroth had earned himself the title of coward and weakling. Even the servants of the nobles did not respect him despite his newly found status as an Exalted one. After his arrival at Delphion it was found that his body had zero talent to be a practitioner, a negligible talent in the arcane arts of the mages, the strength of his mind too low to be psionic, spirit sensitivity was non-existent so being a shaman or elementalist was out of the question, druids were a subset of mages so that was out of the question too. Perhaps he could have been a one of the rarer seen spiritualists who can derive myriad of abilities from their spirits and also fuse with them to bring about incredible power. A beast master was born with a grimoire inside of soul space and Azeroth lacked such an item.’ With my current capabilities being a mage is the only option but considering my talent reaching even the first circle would take me eight to ten years and so it’s useless’ ,thought Azeroth.’ Could it be that I have no choice?’ Azeroth as disappointed when he thought of his current state. He didn’t know how he died back on earth and then soul was sucked into a chaotic dimension and then kicked out of it and into a new world and there his soul was again sucked into the body of a waste. Throughout the whole experience he was aware and that only added to the fear and confusion. There was no pain though, rather the absence of his senses made it worse. The only good thing about his new life was the status of exalted but that was worthless without power.

‘Forget about it, I should go meet my new team mates’ thought Azeroth as he walked out of the garden.
