Chapter 8

Chapter 8

After Aesar and Ryfon finished their breakfast, they left the inn after staying there for two nights. During breakfast there were no notable problems that occurred, so they continued on leisurely.

They made their way towards the port where they were supposed to set sail.

After walking for a while a large ship with two beautiful ladies carved on its side came into view.

Aesar and Ryfon had refreshed looks. They started to progress their quest to save their village.

They walked normally to the busy and buzzing streets, carefully maneuvering through the crowds of people that had their own agenda. Some fishermen were setting sail early in the cool morning and other people boarded other ships with their luggage, probably wanted to also set sail across the sea to another kingdom.

Once they neared the directed ship, a man stood in front of the walk way that lead on board the ship.

Ryfon approached the man in brown leather armor with a single short sword on his right hip.

“25 silver each person,” the man spoke in a natural scowl.

At this, Ryfon gave him 1 Gold coin. After all, 50 Silver coins was equivalent to 1 Gold coin.

After Ryfon paid the man, the two went on board the ship. From looks alone, it was quite clear that the ship was well taken care off. The two were also able to sense that the hull of the boat was enhanced by magic. This was so the ship could withstand attacks from sea creatures or pirates.

There were two large poles on the deck; each one had large sails, the mainsail which was the largest sail, and the mizzen the sail behind the main sail on a ship.

On the rear of the ship was the bridge which was elevated and was on top of the cabin. On the bridge were 3 people, an elf, a man, and a woman. From the controlling and strong voice the woman spoke, she could be viewed as the captain of the ship. She wore silver leather armor, dark brown pants, and she was equipped with a short sword on her right hip, and a dagger on the other side.

Her eyes gleamed menacingly at two individual in front of her and spoke loudly, “Go prepare everything. I’ll let it slide this time, okay? Now move!”

“Yes, Captain,” the two spoke in unison.

After the man and the elf’s scolding, they hurried down the stairs from the bridge to the deck and then entered through a hatch below the deck.

Afterwards, the woman let out a sigh of frustration and turned her attention to two certain individuals, Aesar and Ryfon. From their sight, she had a piqued interest, but she only observed the two, for it was rude to pry from passengers.

Her observations did not go unnoticed. Ryfon who stared back at her, gave a charming smile and wink at the woman. From Ryfon’s actions, the woman gave an arched brow.

But soon after, Aesar and Ryfon made their way to the stairs near the boarding area and entered in the lower levels of the deck where passengers would stay. They looked for their room numbered 8 as what the naturally, scowling admission directed.

They walked along a narrow corridor, barely enough for two people to stand side by side with their arms down. After walking for a short time, they passed rooms 1 to 7 and stopped in front of room number 8.

Ryfon reached out on the bronze colored doorknob and turned it, causing a small click. After opening the door, they were greeted by two bunk beds and a small room. It was a rather simple room. The bed sheets were white and off to the side of the room was a circular window where the port could be seen along with crowds of people.

“Seems better than the last ship I went on,” Ryfon broke the silence.

Aesar though back to the tale Ryfon told him a long time ago. When Ryfon returned to Endendas Kingdom, he arrived in a pirate ship. Of course, the pirates were either dead or unconscious.

“We’re here quite early, want to go on the top deck with me?” offered Ryfon.

“Maybe later, I’d like to meditate a bit. While you’re out, ask the captain or anyone with information on our departure and arrival. They only said that we would leave in the morning, I’d like knowing things in details.”

“I’ll go and ask. As for our arrival, from my experience, I’d say that we would probably arrive in Galedria Kingdom in a few days – 4 to 5 days. It’ll depend on how many mages we have on this ship, as well as sea monster encounters. But with us here, those monsters shouldn’t be a problem. It’s too bad we can’t do much with spells to help out with the casting effective wind spells to speed up the ship.” Ryfon looked a bit depressed. He was an excellent warrior, but he was not adept in the projections of magic, a being a mage. He was alright, perhaps good or slightly above average at best.

With that, Aesar watched the back of Ryfon as he closed the door behind him. Now alone, Aesar sat on the wooden floor of the ship and crossed his legs then closed his eyes.

Soon after, he pulsated with power internally. His blood started to boil from the amount of power. His breathing became heavy as if large amounts of weight were placed on his chest. Despite the heavy breathing, he was doing it so, rhythmically.

Meanwhile, Ryfon was making his way up the stairs to the top of the deck. From such a short time, the boarding area became packed with people carrying luggage. ‘We must be leaving soon,’ he thought.

He scanned the area for the captain. Although he could just ask for the worker for information, he desired for the beautiful captain. He was not in a good state since the incident, and he hope to do something to cheer himself up.

He did not have to scan long, for she was in the same spot the last time he saw her.

After directing his gaze towards her, he admired the tight brown pants the complimented her wondrous curves and long legs. He then slowly shifted is eye from her legs to her face, while slowly showing desire for her nice waistline and generous breast that greedily covered by her silver leather armor. Once his gaze shifted on her almond brown eyes, he advanced towards her direction.

Normally she would disapprove of any advances from men, but she had a held interest in the two, so she allowed Ryfon’s advances.

Just when he was about to arrive at the base of the stairs to the bridge, 3 Humans moved in front of his path, a man dressed in brown leather armor, and two young women dressed in silver cloth armor. The two women, who stood to his front right, were stunning. And judging from their attire, they were most likely the mage that would cast wind spells to increase the sailing speed of the ship.

“Whoa there, lad,” said the man.

Although, the captain had an interest in Aesar and Ryfon, she did not help out in Ryfon’s advance, for she enjoyed the scene before her. On her face was a condescending look as she observed the him struggling.

“I just want to ask a few questions,” said Ryfon.

“If it’s to ask her to bed you, you’re better off turning away now before the things get out of hand,” a woman with brown hair who wore silver cloth armor, spoke.

“Quite a dirty mind you got there, pretty lady. I just wanted to ask on the time of our departure.”

From this, the man to his front right, burst into laughter and caused the woman who said the words to blush.

“Oh, stop. We saw your leering look directed at Captain Valentine,” the other armor-clothed woman intervened with fierce beautiful blue eyes.

“Isabel,” Valentine stared at the blushing girl then shifted to the other woman, “Susan,” then stared at the laughing man, “Piers, that enough.”

She then continued, “You could have asked the other crew members for that information, they are well informed with the departure scheduled. Anyway, it won’t matter anymore, we will soon leave.”

Seeing that the situation was not advantageous for him he retreated, “You’re right. I just thought that you would be more fitting to ask.”

‘She’s tougher than that Hydra; I haven’t retreated since that time I fought multiple ones, after all. No worries, perhaps I can go after the woman called Isabel or Susan,’ he thought to himself. ‘They are not bad. Maybe Aesar could also have fun with one of them,’ he continued to think about the two women.

With that, Ryfon turned to the two girls and showed an interest in the two of them, and made his way back to his room.

The two women were left flustered at the sight of a very handsome and strong looking elf showing interest in them.

This cause the man named, Piers, to morph his amused face into a scowl of anger. He had always had lust for Isabel and Susan, but they showed no interest in him.

Valentine only stared at his back as he disappeared from view into the lower deck.
