A TRUE ENTOMANCER

Jacob had been exploring the system for a while. During this time, Nathan woke up and Jacob assisted him in getting to the nurse. After returning to his room, Jacob resumed exploring the system and the gifts he had received. Of particular interest to him was the subclass.

" System what is a Subclass"

=============================

-subclasses are a subtype of a certain class granting different abilities and skills based on the subclass-

-Decomposers, use your swarm to control corpses, feed on the dead, and fight enemies.

-Predatorial Insect, You can control predatory insects that have reached the top of their food chain, harness their abilities to strengthen yourself, and become formidable.

-Camouflaged Species, Some bugs use camouflage to protect themselves or prey on unsuspecting creatures. You can use this tactic to hide, ambush, or survive

.-Parasitic, There are certain insects that exhibit parasitic behavior by controlling and attaching themselves to other beings. They steal nutrients and resources from their hosts while also providing them with something in return, ensuring their own survival and strength. These insects form swarms to collectively drain the strength of others in exchange for something valuable, even at the cost of their own lives.

-Toxin insect: some insects use toxins to weaken others and consume them, trap your victims, and poison them to consume them

-insectoid: It is important to recognize the limitations of the human body compared to the capabilities of insects. Consider the possibility of replacing your body and organs with those of insects. While this may result in losing human companionship, it will also make you virtually unbeatable in strength.

-The system recommends host choose as soon as possible-

=============================

Jacob felt a bit overwhelmed by the large number of choices available to him. However, he quickly eliminated some options that didn't align with his values. He wanted to be visible and not perceived as a coward, so he decided to exclude toxin insects and camouflaged species from consideration.

Secondly, he erased "insectoid" because he wasn't comfortable with the idea of becoming an insect and losing his humanity.

In the end, he decided to remove Decomposers and Predatorial insects from his list of options. He believed that he could effectively utilize insects as weapons, as long as he spent enough time studying them in the laboratory. He also felt uncomfortable with the idea of using Decomposers to disrespect the deceased.

This only left Parasitic which he felt made the most sense to him.

" System I choose to become a parasite."

-Change will now occur recommended for the host to find a place to lie down as pain will ensue-

"Pain??? What pain"

Jacob began to experience a strange sensation within him, which was not as excruciating as the feeling of awakening. Instead, it felt like a vital part of him was being forcefully replaced. Meanwhile, the insects in his swarm were also undergoing a transformation. They developed mandibles that served as attachments, and their physical and instinctual nature changed. Additionally, parasitic insects about 2 feet long started growing inside Jacob's body. He knew these insects were crucial to the subclass he had chosen, and he also realized that they were telepathically connected to him.

"System can you explain more about my subclass?"

The system's mechanics have adapted to your subclass, making it parasitic. Breeding grounds have been replaced with hosts, and noobie breeding grounds are now host brain parasites. Your swarm's insects can now extract fuse from any being they attach to. Your body is the ideal host for the strongest parasites you can create, and in turn, they provide you with their strength and power. You're now immune to poison as the insects will reject anything they consider a threat. The parasites will breed in your body, and if you attach them to other hosts, they will do the same, though with fewer benefits for the host and more for you. The quality of the parasites growing inside them will also be lower depending on the host.

"Alright, I think I have a grasp on that. Let's move on to the other beginner gifts. How about we use the giant beetle? Can you explain how it works?" As soon as he spoke, a beetle around 4 feet in length appeared in the terrarium and promptly latched onto Jacob's back.

Ouch! That hurt, but I seem to have a shield now. I'll call it Athens. Time to test out my body's new ability. However, as Jacob considered activating it, Nosirin bit his shoulder and made his body extremely flexible, almost like a whip. He swung his body with his other hand, and the beetle crawled from his back to his forearm. It tensed up, making it stronger and tougher.

"This could be useful. I wouldn't have to carry weapons since they're considered pets, allowing me to attend events where weapons are prohibited."

"Let's take a look at the beginner Entomancer equipment." Jacob waited, but nothing seemed to happen.

-Host needs to unlock buggy space before having the ability to use the equipment-

" Hmm well then that's the noobie gift? Let's go and explore the -Lab- saying this another display appeared in his sight but this time it looked like a 2D laboratory with a terrarium in the middle of the interface with nothing inside

- Host must select a species of insect in his swarm to study it-

" Let's see, let's put a rhinoceros beetle in there," as he said that one of the few beetles in his swarm seemed to disappear before appearing as a 2D image inside of the terrarium with a lab report next to the terrarium.

" I guess that's it for the system at least for now, I should prepare for my next class before one of the blessed gets mad."

See one thing I failed to mention was that disowned were treated like animals, one could even own a disowned for a certain price, you could murder one with no consequences, and if they dared to disrespect a blessed, they would face harsh punishment sometimes being death!
