In a fully white realm with not much to be seen, a Deity of reincarnation could be found talking to another soul that lost its life, the soul was just an orb of light.
The deity on the other hand was much more defined with silvery hair and glowing eyes, there was a sort of warm aura to this being.
"As I said dear soul, the choices you have are connected to the life you led, in a way it's a karmic wheel, and that leaves you with two choices. The after life of eternal rest or a rather very dangerous world, one I would not recommend, which do you want?" The voice was pleasant and almost calming in its smoothing vibrancy.
There was no malice or indifference, only genuine care that seemed almost too pure, it was welcoming and embracing to simply talk to this being.
"Then I'll be taking the fantasy world. I've lived a rather lonely life, and just when I made a friend I betrayed them out of selfishness, so I want to try at life again, to do better, to be better rather than rest forever." The soul responds clearly ready to go.
"As you wish, the best of luck, and may you find what you seek." Giving the soul hug the deity then blew it away and it was gone just like that, leaving this being watch it with a warm smile.
The silence did not last however as another soul soon appeared, this one however had a oddly strong glint to its glow. Something about it made the Deity's eyes widen before calming down and waiting for the soul to come closer.
"Well, this is unexpected, you're not supposed to be here, mortal. I do guess things are always more interesting when the unexpected takes place. Anyway, how did you get here, dear soul?" The deity asked with a smile.
"I jumped off a building and here I was… I guess I'm dead? Are you death? I didn't think death would look like this..." Nirko would have smiled with a hint of surprise, had he not become a soul orb with no face, but his voice still carried that brash amazement he felt in each word.
In response to this, there was a mix of amusement and slight concern crossing the Deity. "Jumped off a building? That's certainly a way to go about things, but no, I'm not Death. I'm a Celestial, a being you mortals mostly refer to as Gods or Devils, and such. More specifically, I'm called Aeonis, rank and domain: A Deity of reincarnation."
Aeonis with a tilted head and studied him curiously as if witnessing an interesting phenomenon.
This caused Nirko to narrow his eyes before sighing. "I didn't jump off a building because I felt like it, I was cornered. Let's just say my old world was not very fond of me or those like me." Not stopping there though, Nirko forced a smiled as he looked at Aeonis.
Softening could be seen in Aeonis' expression as an understanding and even sympathy could be found. "A world cruel to those who don't fit its mold, an old tale, yet as unfortunate as ever. I'm sorry you had to live like that."
There was then a pause, and Aeonis looked around instead of looking at Nirko. "Speaking of trouble, we really shouldn't be chatting like this, there are rules, you know. Very strict, very boring rules about mortals and celestial beings, even worse for divine beings like me…"
Such a reaction evoked a chuckle from Nirko, he shook his head.
"I'm rule breaker by birth, that's not something I would worry about.
"Anyway, what happens now? You said you're a Deity of reincarnation, does that mean I get to go to another world like in an Isekai?!
"Maybe I'll get to live in a world where I'm not hunted to death for existing…" There was eximent behind his voice as the idea of such a world came to his mind.
"I'll be honest with you… You were never supposed to die." Aeonis said with a tone containing a pang of pity.
"Never? As in not now? Or Actually never?" Nirko confused by what meant, cause even if he lived for a long time or didn't die of natural causes, he could clearly be killed, after all, the Inepts before him all died.
"Never. Do you even know what an inept?" Aeonis sighed. There was a certain tone of hesitant in every word.
"Someone with no particularity?" Nirko had a raised eyebrow as he said what to him was obvious but seemed to be contested here.
"That's the lie they told, but the truth is Inepts are individuals with more than one particularity." Aeonis casually reveals with a serious expression.
Those words created a great silence.
For what felt like an eternity, nothing was said, and the quiet took over as if by magic as not a single sound could be heard at all.
What could even be said in the face of such an absurd statement? Of course it was a lie, it could only be! No! It had to be! Because if it wasn't, why did it all happen? What was the meaning of everything Nirko and the Inepts before him went through?
Something was off, and Nirko would get to the bottom of it, as nothing would convince him that there was no reason to all that, it simply could not be, he refused to accept such an answer.
"What?! What are you on about?! If that were true, me and my family as well as all the inepts before me would be at the top of the world! We had NOTHING!!
"No… That's an understatement, cause someone who simply has nothing would at least have the chance to have something, we didn't even have that!!!" Nirko found himself frustrated at this.
How could such a blatant lie be said with a straight face? He could not believe this Deity thought he was such a fool.
"The reason why you can't use your particularities at all is because having more than one complicates things.
"Think of it this way, just like a phone, a soul has limited storage and particularities take up said storage, but as you know if a phone has too much in it sometimes it can't even work properly, well the same goes for a soul." Aeonis explained as calm as before and unfazed by the frustration demonstrated by Nirko.
No. This could not be, could it? There was no way such a thing was true… If those words are true, that would mean that everything that happened to Inepts and anyone who associated with them was all because of a lie??… No, maybe not a lie, possibly a mistake… Whatever the case, such a thing was far from fair.
This information took time to process for Nirko, and once it did he asked.
"…. So, I'm just overtaxed… If that's true, Why?! Why did I and any other Inepts have to go through all that?!? Was this really all due to a misunderstanding of what Inepts are?
"Then, what about all the horrible stories and tragedies caused by the Inept?! Is an Inept's nature even actually evil?! Are we, Am I an abomination or not?!"
His words were charged with emotions, anger, frustration, irritation, hate, disgust, indignation, relief, and so much more. This news was something that he both hoped were true and wished were a lie.
"That's a bit complicated. For starters, Inepts like you are killed because you have such potential that Celestial beings convinced the mortal world to eliminate you so they can have and use you for themselves, though if you were deemed too dangerous, and things become complicated." Aeonis revealed a deep sigh, though a soft smile followed and had a comforting feel to it.
There was a pause, but before the Deity could say anymore, he responded.
"And that's it?! For some stupid cosmic game of power?! That's why my life and the life of some many other Inepts before me were destroyed! And the lies! I can't believe I ever thought it was true!" Nirko wanted to hit his own face but as he was now a soul orb, he could not do such a thing.
Once he was done letting his feelings out, Aeonis continued.
"Not quite, you're misunderstanding me. I never said the Inepts were fully innocent either. Actually this whole Inept problem started all the way back with the first Inept, Issa Moro.
"A fully chaotic and evil woman who did a lot of terrible things and started the Inept stigma. Things were helped by the fact that the 33 Inepts after her were also evil men and women, though less and less so for each Inept after Issa." Aeonis explained with a smile, doing so calmly and in a digestible way.
Again, Nirko stopped not knowing how to react, but soon he sighed and said.
"So, the stories weren't lies?… How about the 34 Inepts before me? Were they any different? I never heard stories about them.
"Though, I was told it's because Adapts had become so good at taking care of Inepts they didn't even have the chance to do anything, but after my hundreds of years there, I doubt that's the truth."
The response came quickly from Aeonis.
"Yes. Actually the 34 Inepts before you were all more prone to Order and good, something which only seemed to be more and more the case each passing Inept, unfortunately for them the celestials didn't want their image to get better so, they pushed for it to stay the same, but you seem different from all that, you seem less limited in that regard than the Inepts before you."
A sigh of relief escaped Nirko and even though he felt conflicted it was much less so than seconds ago.
"Still though… The Celestials who manipulated things into getting or staying so bad… They have to pay… So much happened because of their greed and they need retribution!" Nirko frowned clearly mad at the Celestials involved in the Inept problem.
"Then allow me to help you. I believe we could help each other." Aeonis suggested.
"… I already want to ask you why you would be any different from those Celestials, but that's pointless. How can I change to do something about this? To get revenge with my own two hands!?" Nirko questioned with a look of determination.
"By becoming stronger. I'll send you to a world that will facilitate that and even give you my blessing as well as hide you from the Celestial beings for as long as I can.
"In exchange, I'll have you to do something for me, later. Don't worry I won't ask for something unreasonable." Aeonis walked closer to Nirko's soul and began to hold him up in order to blew him to another world.
As soon as Aeonis touched his soul though something happened, like a black hole he started to suck everything in, the Deity included, and there was NO escape.
"What-…. Wait-…. No-…" Aeonis tried to protest but there was nothing that could be done.

"What's going on?!" Nirko was more confused than ever, was this the Deity's doing?
Soon everything around, the white, started fading as Nirko sunk into nothingness. Though at that time he heard something.
[Activation of Particulaity#2-(Eat The Strong) detected. Provisional energy source detected. Sentience detected on the Provisional energy source. Providing additional function/s to individual: Aeonis.] A mechanical voice with a neutral tone spoke to him as a purple floating screen appeared before him.
"…. At this point I'm not even sure I should be trying to understand what's going on…" Nirko was lost on what was happening to him.
Then another floating screen came up.
[Accustoming Individual: Aeonis to the selected function/s: Operator/Member. Main function as Provisional energy source has been properly implemented. All parameters have been properly adjusted for the Master. Initiating Particularity#1-(System) according to the defined parameters for Master. Adjusting for Particularity#3-(Endless Ruler).] The mechanical voice from before changed and it was now feminine as it talked to him.
"Aeonis?! Is that you? Is this some cruel joke?" Nirko was even more confused than before.
However there was no response from Aeonis quite yet, instead another floating purple screen popped up message.
[Welcome to the Harem Building System, Master Nirko. Crafted to allow for the best results considering your character and degenerate desires of depravity. Good luck.] The feminine mechanical voice said to him.
[Tranfering minor management control to the selected Operator.] It added and then went silent again.
"Here I thought I would get a cool adventure where I get to do all the cool stuff I want and maybe even go a little wild, but now I'm blind? In nowhere? Some sort of void place?" Nirko could believe he was dealing with so much random stuff all at once.
[Nirko? Finally, I can reach you… You're really dangerous no wonder the Celestials wanted you properly contained or even erased… Anyway, you have some interesting Particularities, and well one of them is a system, which is now called Harem Building System, huh… Due to you.] Aeonis said and she had a bit of concern in her voice as she spoke and a silver floating screen popped up.
"You're not making me feel any better, but I figured since the, huh system told me about that… It's just hard to process while so much is happening. Though I have to say, a harem based system does seem made for me!" Nirko finally calms down hearing that.
[Well, you seem excited that's good cause things are a bit complicated. I was probably already replaced by another Deity of reincarnation by now, and they might find us if we don't enter a world now, so we'll have to follow the path that was already opened from the last person I reincarnated. It's to a world of swords and magic, but don't be tricked, it's a really dangerous world so be ready.] Aeonis explained with a bit of a hurried tone with another silver floating screen.
"Ok! That's great! It's just like in my favorite stories!" Nirko was loving the idea.
[Good. From now on, I'll be… Well, your personal guide, not like I have a choice. The goals are to grow a harem, gain power and hopefully being able to stay under the celestial radar. You better be ready for the danger.] Aeonis told him as a silver floating screen appeared.
"I lived a life of danger most of my time, 420 years, alive already, it's nothing new. And if I get to have company this time, I ask for nothing more." Nirko said with what would have been a nod and a smile were he not a soul orb.
[Very well, let's do this. We are in this together wether we want it or not, and there is no going back, so no cowering, now!] Aeonis's voice was soft as she spoke to him.
Nirko shook his head internally, then said. "I'm not afraid, I'm tired of fear."
At that time a light began to peer through the absolute darkness.
[Ok, I'll be taking us then. Be ready and don't be reckless, this will be a whole new world and you'll have to be prepared.] Aeonis said a bit of excitement in her voice as well.
"Hey, I had to that time!… Anyway, I've decided that we're doing this, so you better be a good guide cause I want to see it all with you." Nirko said as the light enveloped him.
Just as Aeonis had expected another Deity of reincarnation had taken her place, but at least for now it seemed they had just escaped in the nick of time. A world of swords and magic awaited them beyond.

In a forest filled with trees that seemed to go on forever as tall as skyscrapers, and more, many one of them, though lower under there were much more normal sized trees, and in the midst of all of this there was a village, and in this village there was a small house.
Inside the wooden house, there was a woman pregnant in months, and near delivery without the knowledge that the child growing inside of her had just became conscious even if not fully.
That was obviously Nirko, who was being welcomed by his guide.
[Welcome to your new life, Nirko. How very… Isekai of us.] Aeonis says in a cheery tone.

A purple floating screen containing much information appeared before Nirko, but it was not the only one.

Another purple floating screen full of information popped up in front of him
(That's a lot to process…) Nirko was overwhelmed by the information but slowly caught up to all of it.
He seemed to go past the status screen and inventory as they were what he expected as the typical rpg stuff.
(An affinity meter? Like affection? Is this a dating sim? If it is I hope it has the spicy scenes. Hahahaha. Though I have to say if it works as described this might just save me.) Nirko laughed internally liking the function quite a lot.
From there Nirko got passed the Quest/challenges as again it was something he expected and was not surprised by, only for him to stop right at he next one.
(Harem management… it has a few more uses than I expected, or I'll come in handy in keeping everyone safe.) Nirko smiled knowing he had such a function made him feel a little better.
Then he stopped immediately after at the next one.
(Skill acquisition and skill points? It's really like a game or an isekai story, huh? I wonder if I've got any cool skills.) Nirko nodded satisfied by this one as well.
The streak of stops continued as he looked at the next one.
(Training module?? That's a new one, I don't think I've seen anything quite like this before… maybe in a manhwa or manhua? It was so long ago. Anyway, that's broken! I'll know who not to mess without any of the danger. I'll f*ck around without having to find out! Hahaha! Perfect.) That became his favorite function immediately.
So the digestion of information continues as he went past relationships management as it seemed like a weaker version of harem management, it had its uses but he was not impressed. Thus moving on to Harem cultivation.
(Hahshahaha! Greatest function ever! Allowing me to gain through enlightenment the best way possible, truly the system is my creed! To live by the system and to die by the harem!) Nirko was full of excitement as he was convinced nothing would beat this. (It seems to encourage me to get strong women in the harem… Will they even be interested in someone like me?… Oh well, make do with what you can.)
Soon after he was intrigued by Harem Link.
(So… When does a girl classify as part of the Harem? Is it only after they get the tattoo? It probably is… there's a lot of ranks though… will I even need that many… Hmmm… Yup, I'll definitely need them all.) Nirko had a few doubts but the more he thought about the more it made sense to him.
Next on the chopping block was Harem Leveling.
(Hahahahaha! I think I was wrong! This might be the best function! If I want to I can just grind my way up like crazy! Hahahaha, easy exploit!) Nirko was too happy to have found such a ease farming route immediately.
However reality was often disappointing.
(Harem Limit?! What do you mean limit?! I've been robbed! This is scam! What kind of bullsh*t nerf is this! You can't give me hope then rip it away like this!) He felt betrayed like he hadn't in a very long time but soon calmed down. (… I guess it would be a d*ck move to farm girls like that anyway, I didn't even think of that… Man, Harem Cultivation truly is the best there is! Sorry I ever strawayed from the correct path! I will have faith in my Dao from now on.)
Then it came, the next function to heal his broken heart.
(Harem Boost, you are almost as great as Harem Cultivation. Even in a world of pain, there is still hope If I have these two, Affinity meter, Harem management, and skill acquisition. I can be happy.) Nirko was proud of what he considered the five best function in his heart.
Following that was the last function.
(Harem Ruler, huh?… I guess I will have to eventually stop to build a base and as the harem grows it could turn into more. This is good for the future. All in all, I'm happy with my system, it was clearly made for someone like me.) Nirko nodded elected at the system and what it had to offer.
In quick succession his attention turned to his status screen and what was going on there.
(So that's my name? Pretty much the same, 0 years old? As expected of a newborn. Obviously male. Human as expected.) Nirko let out a wrinkled smile.
Then in succession to that, he continued.
(Those are some weird affinities, I know Yin, Yang, but what's the rest about? I'll have to see later. My family's bloodline, ok. My physique is athletic? That's a new one. Soul rank? I guess souls can get stronger too…) Nirko nods taking in the information.
Not long after, to the next he went.
(Level 1, no title, no job, no class, truly the life of a shut-in. Hahaha. Now I wish I knew What my attributes mean, but I'll have to ask later. Aside from that there's a lot of stats, like Luck and such… I don't know how good this is yet.) Nirko sighed.
There was no stopping though, and he moved on to the next thing.
(So, I do have particularities? 3 at that… How weird… I lived my life thinking I had none… So this is an Inept? I guess I used to being one long ago, but I've never been one to cling onto old ideas.) Nirko sighed as the idea stettled in his mind, it was weird and still felt wrong but time would cure that.
Moving on from that, finally.
(So all that's left are my three passive skills, Elven language? Why? Shouldn't I know human language? And those other two skills seem like typical fantasy stuff, I'm sure I'll have time to figure that out.) Nirko sighed finally done letting all the knowledge rest in his mind.
At that time, another notification was added.
[This is our little secret, your harem building system. It seems you were born in the Burdant village in a forest clearing in the Verdant Forest of the Eldaria Kingdom. Shall we look around and see what this world has in store for us? Just remember to keep a low profile for now. No advertising your otherworldly origins or your charming new divine companion.] Aeonis said to him as another silver floating screen appeared before him. [So, what's our first move, oh great harem-builder-to-be?]
A smiled appeared on Nirko face but it was then that he noticed an odd feeling.
(Just call me a harem seeker for now… And I guess since I'm a baby right now, just teach me more about this world.) Nirko asked feeling ready to take on this new world.
