Before me stood what looked like some kind of rock statue. It stood a little over two feet tall and was broad, with thick limbs and large hands and feet. However, as I examined it, I noticed that its eyes were glowing with a soft light. Right as I noticed that, a blue notice popped up in front of me.
[Give a name to your newly created earth golem familiar.]
"Earth golem, huh? What should I name it?" I thought aloud.
"I-if it's an earth golem, I suggest n-naming it D-drauum," Vic said. "I remember th-that name from a comic I once r-read."
"Sure, that sounds good to me," I replied. "Your name from now on will be
[Thank you, Master.] Drauum said, looking up at me. [Call on me if you ever need someone flattened or protection from enemy attacks.]
"Sounds good, thank you very much," I told the golem. It nodded before vanishing from sight. I looked through its Status Screen and saw that it had the same
[Congratulations! This area's First Class Selection has finished and 78% of people chose a Class! Now, let the games begin!]
As soon as the message dissolved into thin air, dark clouds began filling the sky. Looking around, I noticed several people running in our direction. As soon as they were close, I then noticed a bunch of large, green-skinned creatures chasing after them.
[Orcs! Those are orcs!] Mab screamed in my ear. [However, I think Drauum and I can handle them long enough for everyone to get away!]
"But...I can fight too," I told her.
[What're you talking about? [Familiamancer's] don't fight themselves, they let their summons fight for them. They're usually physically weak anyway.] Mab replied.
"Sure, but I was born with superhuman strength, so I can definitely fight," I explained. "In fact, my Str stat is over 100."
[W-what?! But how could a mere human that only just became a Player have a stat that's over 100! That's crazy!] Mab exclaimed. I grinned, but didn't saying anything else in reply. Leaning forward, I dashed towards the orc horde, my fists already cocked and ready to fly. As soon as any of the orcs came close, I began punching.
They were weaker than I was expecting, because every single time I hit one of them, they died instantly. However, I wasn't complaining and quickly leveled up three times once all of the orcs were killed. Mab just floated after me, a dumbfounded expression on her face. Vic had a similar expression, his sword dangling from his hand. I just smirked and then turned to face the blue notice that popped up in front of me.
[You've leveled up! You're now lvl. 4!]
[Choose from one of the five rewards below! You get to pick three times due to leveling up three times, but the rewards will be refreshed between every choice!]
[The rewards are as follows! Stats (random), Skill (random), Item (random), Other (random), and Stats (Player's choice)]
"Hmm, I think it'll be worthwhile to get an item, since right now I'm having to rely on my bare hands to fight," I reasoned. Vic nodded his head to share his agreement, so I went ahead and clicked the [Item (random)] option. Light flashed and an object appeared before me. Grabbing hold of it, I saw that it was a wooden staff of some kind. Sighing, I triggered its info page.

"Wow, this thing is so useless for me," I muttered. "Why couldn't I have gotten a weapon instead?"
[Because the System was giving you that item based on your Class, not your fighting style or stats.] Mab explained.
"Great, so I guess that means I'm gonna have to rely on my fists after all," I groaned. "But I suppose that's nothing new."
However, while we were talking, loud, booming sounds echoed behind us. I noticed Vic's eyes go wide and I spun around. My own eyes widened when I saw the giant monster towering over us.
"Mab, what is that thing?!" I screamed.
[It's an ogre! A big one!] She yelled back. [You can't beat it on your own this time! Summon Drauum back!]
"Got it! Drauum, I need you!" I shouted. A flash of light appeared next to me and out of it walked the two-foot tall earth golem.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
[I see. I will restrain the monster.] Drauum said. Suddenly, the ground under the ogre's feet wriggled and stretched upwards, encasing the monster's feet. It roared and strained to free itself, but at least for the moment it was contained.
[Now it's my turn!] Mab exclaimed. She held out her tiny hand and blue bolts of energy started shooting out, striking the ogre all over its body. It once again roared, this time in pain, but it still couldn't manage to free itself.
"[Fireball]!" I shouted, holding out the
[Master, hurry and stand up! I can't hold it for much longer!] Drauum exclaimed. I rushed up to my feet and charged towards the monster. Slamming my fist into its knee, the ogre's leg buckled and it fell to the ground.
"Hap!" I shouted, planting my fist into the monster's face. There was a crunching sound and the monster roared, but it clearly wasn't dead yet. Several blue bolts of light streaked past me, impacting the ogre's eyes. This was then followed by what looked like shards of stone embedding themselves in the monster's hide.
[We've got your back!] Mab shouted. I looked back and saw that Mab and Drauum were both preparing to use their ranged attacks again. Grinning, I raised the staff in my hand and shoved the tip of it up the ogre's nose.
"[Fireball]!" I shouted. The ogre's eyes widened right before its head exploded. Now that the monster was dead, I could continue picking my level up rewards in peace. However, I then got a notice saying that I had leveled up two more times after killing the ogre, giving me another two rewards to pick. I grinned, realizing that this meant that not only was I already level 6, but I also four rewards left to obtain.
[I think you should go for the [Skill (random)] reward! It'll probably boost your overall combat power!] Mab advised.
[I agree with my chatty companion.] Drauum stated. Nodding at their reasoning, I decided to go ahead and choose the [Skill (random)] option. A window popped up, telling me that I had now unlocked the
In total, I decided to go with the [Stats (Player's choice)], [Stats (random)], and another [Item (random)]. For the [Stats (Player's choice)], I chose to increase my Soul stat, which was raised by 5 accordingly, while the [Stats (random)] raised my Dex stat by 5. As for the item, it was a bright red cloak called

Oh, these both seem pretty good. Especially the cloak's effect that increases the stats of my familiars, I thought. However, a piercing and somewhat annoying voice interrupted my thoughts.
[Ooh! That cloak looks really good!] Mab squealed. [Also,
"Not true, since I can also share my stats with a familiar of my choosing. Here, let me show you," I told the fairy. "[Synchronize]
A blue beam of energy shot from me into Mab. The fairy's eyes went wide and a wide grin was splayed across her face. As soon as the Skill finished, she shot off through the air faster than a rocket, whooping and hollering in delight. When she came back, she was still grinning.
[I've never felt this physically powerful before! I feel like I could take on the world!] The energetic fairy queen exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know, that's how I feel all the time," I replied.
[I really want to see just how strong I really am!] She stated. I groaned, finally realizing that maybe this wasn't such a good idea. However, before the fairy could fly off again, another ogre came plodding over, roaring as it went. [Ooh, the perfect enemy to test my strength against!]
Mab zoomed towards the ogre, which I felt sorry for. Despite the colossal size difference, when she collided with its chest, the massive monster stumbled back a few steps. However, its pint-size opponent wasn't even close to finished. I watched as Mab then peppered its face with bolts of blue energy, causing it to roar and try to swat her out of the air. She just laughed as her increased Dex allowed her to literally fly circles around the ogre.
[Hahahaha! You're no match for the fairy queen, Mab, you overgrown booger!] Mab taunted. She then flew towards it once again and began punching its chest at high speeds. The ogre couldn't handle the unceasing onslaught and turned to run away, but the feisty fairy wasn't about to let him go. [Not so fast, I need XP if I'm going to regain my former glory!]
She then flew over to the ogre's ear and unleashed a barrage of blue bolts straight into the monster's ear canal. It howled in pain and finally succeeded in smacking Mab out of the air. However, due to her increased Con stat, she shook off the blow and hovered into the air. Green light then glowed around her as her few wounds disappeared.
Her eyes gleaming, Mab then blasted the ogre's eyes, blinding it. In rage and pain, it began stomping and slamming the ground with its club. Drauum was about to intervene to slow its rampage, but I held him back.
"No, Mab started this, she needs to be the one to finish it," I told the golem.
[As you wish, Master.] Drauum replied. He lowered his arms and stood still by my side. We both continued watching as Mab took a deep breath and then flew up the monster's nose. After a few moments, she exploded out of the top of its skull. She grinned at us, covered in slime while the monster fell to the ground, dead.
[Guess who just leveled up!] Mab said arrogantly. [However, the Skill ended right after I killed the ogre. I guess the fight took longer than I thought.]
"Yeah, guess so," I replied. "So, what'd you get as a reward?"
[I chose to upgrade my
"Certainly sounds like it. But what should we do now? It's not like we've received any kind of quests or anything like that," I said. However, right as I had said these words, a blue window popped up in front of me.
