Endless darkness is what greeted a confused Eugenie.
(Where am I? What happened?)
A few feet from him, 5 meters tall and 5 meters wide, stood a floating ball. Its center radiated calming light with glowing red flows of dust-like chrome encasing it.
(What is this?) He asked, lucid for the first time in his life. He could feel the endless flows of thought running in his brain.
(This must be some kind of soul space. And to think we thought we were just blood bags! Incredible! I can do so much with this. If I can control my own soul, I can find the key to immortality. I don't have to solve the imperfections of cellular division! But why my soul is red? Is red blood?...or something else? Is this supposed to be symbolic? Is this the depiction of soul and body? Is the body the cage of the soul? Is death the solution to the endless search for immortality? Am I dreaming…?)
(Can I create a world of boobs? Is making the girl of my dreams possible? Can I have sex here? Can I fuck myself…no, no, no.)
(Weird thoughts go away!)
Maybe I can make this into a more...normal place. He thought of grass and trees but the surroundings didn't change. (So, i'm not dreaming…)
He walked to the orb and it looked more dazzling up close. He could see the individual spects or red dust flowing away from the ball and then submerge itself in its endless flows. The glowing ball was warm and sticky to the touch.
(How can I touch things? My brain must think this is real life to send this amount of neurons in my brain to make everything so realistic. This doesn't explain the fact that I can't control this place. This must mean that this space must adhere to the first theory.)
(This place is...my soul space. Then why is it that my soul is red?)
Sitting down in front of what might be his soul, he wondered. (Ok. Theoretically, if this is my soul and I'm not the soul...then that must be I'm about to die? No, that doesn't sound right.)
He pressed a hand to the ball again but saw no hand. He didn't panic and instead tried to touch his face. (My brain must think I'm awake and generates a feeling where there is none.)
(If I'm not sleeping and I can't influence the place then that must mean that either: this is a messed-up space to live before I die, or I'm still alive, and this is just a rare creation of random neurons finding this 'place' to be the important enough to be the last thing I see before I die.)
(Wait. Am I thinking or talking?) Interesting.
"Warning! Warning! Foreign identity detected. Foreign identity detected." The voice of a woman could be heard. It echoed from above as if this was a cave.
(That is the same voice I heard at the start of the apocalypse. Is that some kind of machine? If I took the worst-case scenario and make myself the foreign thing...how would I get out of this? Will this thing terminate me?)
"Terminating foreign interloper. Standby." The female voice said.
(Punch it is) He began punching the white ball. At Least he thought he was… (Did I separate from my soul!? How is that even possible?)

(There must be a button or something around here.) A great pleasure overtook his body, as he felt something horrifyingly enormous approaching from above.
(OH, SHIT! IT IS COMING FOR ME!)
And then he heard another voice. "Become part of me." This voice was male. It was deep but soft as it flowed around him and nudged him a bit closer to the orb. (Nothing attached to the sidelines to later fuck me over?) He asked rapidly as he could see the ball become bigger and bigger in front of his crumbling form.
"I don't understand." The voice said. (Why should I become part of you?) He asked, feeling his mind become clouded once again by the second. "I will clear your mind."
(Where do I sign up?)
"Sig-?"
(How do I become part of you!?) He said desperately, as the ball became fainter and fainter and the horrible sound of the pressure filled his ears.
"Just say yes."
"Black sighgon asks Wolf for body. Yes or No?" The strange woman's voice asked in a robotic voice.
(Wait, didn't everyone just start calling him littl-)
"YES!"
(Yes?)
"Now, your body is mine."
(Huh?)
The grasp of the feeling in his massless limbs began to fade. He stumbled to the side and barely avoided a spike of red dust from impaling him. (This can't be happening. This can't be happening. THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!!!)
He tried to move away as quickly as he could, but the floating sand followed in tow as it tried to destroy what was left of him. The space was as endless as it looked and could he not see an end in sight. (I trusted you!)
"I know. Oldest trick in the book, idiot." The male voice dropped to a monstrous tone in an instant. "Come here so I can give you a hug." (Fuck you!) He said and felt the feelings of legs disappear. He could still run but he didn't even know if he was moving and later after he lost his vision and hearing.
It seemed like he was already dead but decided this would not be how he died. He would not be the guy who gave his body to something else willingly! This thing needed him completely dead for some reason. If he stopped thinking of moving one leg after the other...he would truly die. Later...he lost his sense of time. He didn't know if an eternity passed or a second before he felt something touch him.
Feelings began to return. A cold tingling passed through his skin and vibrated through his throat as the feeling became more livid. The vibrations became hot and soft. His form became restless as he felt inside sand. He opened his eyes and saw a bone. A red bone entangled in veins.
Blood cells flowed around him…
(Blood cells flowed around him? He was inside his heart...wasn't he?)
A glow coming from the contracting walls of a heart illuminated the place... (The light must come from the outside. This must mean that he is being operated on or something. Was the apocalypse a dream? Is this any of this real or a make up of his mind?)
No matter how he looked at it. He couldn't find his answer.
(How did this all end up with him in his heart?)
There were sickened glowing holes in the bone. (Mmm…these bone holes must mean something. I can fit inside but the light scares me. But what else can I do? I mean: there is no other option anyways. I'm probably dying.)
Spongy bone detracted as he floated inside.
(I don't even have a body. How can I affect matter?)
The inside was filled with beautiful blue veins but cramped as the bone was crystallizing the more he entered. And then he found a big light. (good. This must be the control room...yah right. This must be my actual soul or energy or something created by my mind.)
He entered the ball. (well no mind If I do)
