The night was silent and dull for all but the magical creatures to the east. One such creature - the Embodiment Of Good - scurried from her home along the wisping trails of the wind. She travelled along with the help of its Embodiment, who was an old friend of hers. Trailing in the twilights gleam, she was carried across the threshold of her world and into that of mankind’s, as well as the other creatures who were equally dull as the night itself. It was her belief that all life had value, but that did not make the lives of those she passed, any less strange. Humans were no exception to this.
There was once a time in which she had understood mankind, at the very least. After all, she was born of them. But now, even her memories of them had vanished, just as her brothers and sisters had foretold. However, that was about to change. She did not exactly know why, but what she was about to do felt right. That was what she did. That was her power. The ability to know what was right, and she had finally come to her senses after all this time. Thousands of years it had been.

Had she really been so confused all that time.
Much of it had been spent as if in a dream. Time passing quickly. Life incomplete. A hole; a gap in her existence. And now she was to fill that void within. She would save both her family and mankind from the disease that held them. The disease that was slowly killing them all, in a way that wasn't in the physical sense.
With dawn approaching on the horizon, the city came into view.
