The War Leader reflected on his time in the Elven Forest was different to what he had expected. He had not expected the cheering crowds that had greeted his people when they had arrived at the Elven City. His people had been told many stories about the Forest and the people that lived in the forest but meeting the Elven people and seeing their forest city had shaken his beliefs. The Elven people had been friendly and very giving to his people and even now a massive banquet was been prepared to celebrate the alliance. The Forests seemed to provide a plentifully bounty that his homeland did not. Early he had watched the duel between one of the warrior priestess and an elven sword master which had reminded him how deadly these people were and that there was foundation to the stories his people told.
As he ate a delicious roast stag and drank the rich Elven wine. He forced himself to remember the stories of his people. When he had finished his meal he looked out at the crowd of both his people the Kilisiler who the Elves called Orcs. He remembered the name his people had for the Elves, The Mese Seytani, or forest devils, there were many stories that told what the forest devils did to his people when they trespassed into the forest. But the most told story was about when the Mese Sytani travelled Ev Torpağı. He raised his voice and called out to the crowd. “It is a tradition amongst my people that after a banquet give thanks to those he provided the food. So I thank you. It is also a tradition to give thanks to our ancestors by telling their story. So with your leave I would like to tell the story of when the Mese Setani came to our lands”,
“Many generations ago the leader of my people was Intiqam Fırtınası had been out on a hunt with almost all of the warriors of his tribe. A rouge drake had wondered onto the hunting grounds of his people. It needed to be killed before it either ate or scared all the food and empty the hunting grounds which would have starved his people. His hunters had tracked down the drake and in a fearsome battle they had managed to kill the fearsome beast. Each warrior was carried a large chuck of meat which had come from the fearsome beast. In a sack by his waste Intiqam carried the fearsome teeth which he was going to make into necklace to give to his wife on his return to the village. It had been long hard hunt and Intiqam and his war party were looking forward to getting home. It was the black smoke that first alerted Intiqam that something was wrong. He yelled at the hunting party to make much haste and return as quickly as they could. The hunting party arrived back at the village to find that the gates of their village which had forced open. He could see the first victim of the attack it was his own brother Mudafiaci a powerful warrior Mudafiaci hundreds of arrows sticking out of his armour but a large gaping wound in his stomach which had killed him.
Inside the fortifications Qara qarğa the slaughter had continued, the elder’s women and children had all been butchered. Intiqam found himself standing at the door of his house looking down at his slain wife who had died trying to protect his young children. His oldest child stood beside him looking at all deaths. At twelve years old this had been his first hunting expedition and now he was the only one left of Fırtınası family. They had gathered the dead and tended the survivors though there were very few of these. Intiqam also discovered that the scared Raven which had protected the village from evil spirits had also been stolen. With all the dead gathered on a huge communal funeral pyre the survivors watched the pyre burn. On these flames Intigam swore he would get vengeance.
Once the pyre had burnt out Intiqam gathered his people together he decided he would leave his son in charge of the reconstruction of the village with a few able advisors, whilst he took a small band of warriors to get their vengeance. He had his best trackers follow the path of his foes. The trail led him to another burnt out village the people Dörd barmaq. Many of the people of Dörd barmaq were related to the Qara qarğa so Intiqam angry grew. He managed to find a few survivors a couple of warriors looking for revenge joint his party whilst the rest were sent back to Qara qarğa. Again they followed the path of the enemy trying to catch up to the enemy to extract their revenge but all they found another burnt out village. Finally de saw that the enemy was descending on the largest village in the region Boz Qurdler. He sent out scouts to summon warriors from all the surrounding villages. Intiqam went in to warn the leader of Boz Qurdler of the approaching enemy.

At this time Boz Qurdler was largest settlement in Ev Torpağı. It was ruled by wise war chief Müdrik döyüşçü. So when Intigam approached him to warn him of the enemy army ready to descend on his home. He listened to Intigam and together they came up with plan on how they would deal with the invaders. Müdrik döyüşçü sent out warriors to summon in more support from all the surrounding villages. Warriors kept an eye on the invaders and even caught two traitors that had been travelling with the enemy host. These traitors were killed and left as warning to enemy of what would happen to them if they should proceed.
Twelve tribes answered the summons and waited with the warriors of Boz Qurdler and the warriors under Intigam from Qara qarğa hidden deep with the village of Boz Qurdler. After seeing the destruction done to the fortifications at Qara qarğa and the other villiages Initgam advised that they should leave the gates open and wait for the enemy to enter the village before attacking. Intigam waited with the best of his warriors for the enemy to enter the village. They rode large horses decked in silver and steel chainmail with lances and shields the forest devils finally attacked. Hundreds of them entered the village with the intent to slaughter all within. Most of the village had been purposely left empty so that the enemy would be forced to go deeper into the village. Than with a roar they activated trap and warriors with large spears attacked forest devils mounted on their horses.
Our legends tell how Intigam with his large War Axe engaged the leader of forest devils. He ducked under a thrust by the devils lance. His axe cleaved straight through the lance destroying the weapon. The leader of the devils pulled out a sword and continued to fight Intigam.
The forest devils were deadly well trained many warriors of my people died but the trap had worked caught in the tight confines of the village with nowhere to retreat our warriors began killing more and more of the forest devils.
It is at this time or so our legends tell that Intiqam with his axe and cleaved though the leg of the horse which the leader of the devils rode. The animal collapsed trapping the leader of the devils under it. Intigam brought down his Axe and killed the devil. They say he took the head off with one clean blow.
With only a few of the remained devils alive in the village most of the forest devils were trying to retreat but everywhere they turned more warriors would appear to cut them down. A small force of the devils had been left outside of the village.
It is told that Intiqam amassed a group of warriors to assault the last group of devils and charged out through the gates. A roar of thunder sounded and all around him was carnage as devils had fired their new weapons of war Intiqam thought of them as firesticks but now we know they were early guns and cannons. The smoke from the fire sticks created a cover which hid the devils. A large beast with huge horns burst out of the smoke and charged out of the smoke. Towards Inigam and his warriors who were forced to withdraw and take cover behind the fornications unsure of how to proceed. This time of indecision allowed the devils to flee.
Müdrik döyüşçü and warriors of Boz Qurdler celebrated their victory by cooking the defeated forest devils. The skull of the defeated leader was made into a cup and from it they drank in celebration. This alliance started by Müdrik döyüşçü and intiqam would eventually grow into what was now the Xalqin Imperiyasi..
Our legends say that Intiqam gathered a large group of warriors and went to follow the forest devils that had got away. They still carried the scared Raven of his people, and his need for vengeance still burned within him. Intiqam vowed to chase them to end of the world”.
The War Leader looked around at banquet to the Elves that had listened to his tale. He scanned the crowd to see what reaction the old elf who had once travelled the lands of his people. The old Elf locked eyes with him. Looking at the old elf the War Leader continued his tale.
“Our legends than speak of the Forest Devil who got away, all the tribes sent warriors to try and kill these devils as they fled across our homeland. With Intiqam and his warriors leading this chase. We are told the leader of these Devils killed many of our people in single combat. We called him Öldürmək çətin which translates to hard to Kill. We have many tales of his exploits and the battles he had with my people but I fear it is getting late and we will have to continue at another time.”
The War Leader gathered his people and left the banquet he still did not know what to make of the forest devils he now found himself travelling with. They did not seem to match the tales of people.
