Slowly, while surrounded by the ever-present void, I felt a strange energy all around me. An energy unlike any that I have ever felt before. I slowly noticed that this energy barely, almost completely imperceptibly was entering my body. That’s when I noticed that my body instead of being made of flesh like the one I remember at the end, is hard and gem like. It is like my body is now a crystal that is slightly larger than three inches at its widest point.

I reached for this energy that I had never felt before, and try pulling it into myself faster. No matter what I did however, the harder I pulled the more it would slip away. After hours of unsuccessfully trying to pull this power into myself, I just relaxed, and tried thinking of other ways to be able to absorb this energy faster.

That is when I noticed that the energy was entering my small body faster than before, and I realized that I cannot use brute force, but utilizing a calm mind I could will myself to absorb the energy faster.

After what seems like forever, but was no more than a few hours, I can no longer absorb any more energy. While pondering what I should do now, in front of my consciousness a strange screen appears made out of this weird energy.

“Hello, can you hear me?”

“Yes, who is this?” I thought back to the screen.

“I’m Lexa, your Dungeon Fairy.”

“My Dungeon Fairy? What is that?”

“I am a being that is here to help you develop as a dungeon, and in turn I receive mana from you which sustains me.”

“What is mana?”

“Mana is the energy that I am using to communicate with you right now. Now we need to get started making you the best dungeon in the entire world.”

Dungeon Fairy Lexa wishes to form a Dungeon Contract with you.

“Just will the yes selection to accept the contract and we can continue from there.”

“Well, I guess this is ok, you do seem to know a lot. So, I am sure you will be really helpful to me.” With that said I willed the yes selection, and suddenly I lost consciousness.

When I regained my consciousness, I could feel Lexa floating rather close to me.  “Lexa why did I lose consciousness when I selected yes?”

            “Well you see…wait do you have a name, or something I can call you by other than dungeon, or hey you?”

            “No, I feel like I should have a name but I just cannot remember what it is.”

            “Well than if it is alright with you I will give you a name, Lukas. It means light, because you are a bright point in this darkness we are in right now.”

            “Well, I think I like that, thank you for giving me a name, but still, why did I lose consciousness?”

            “Oh yeah, well you see, when we formed the contract, we merged a portion of our spirits together, that is who we are talking to each other now without me having to read your thoughts, and you reading the boxes, now we have a direct link to each other. We lost consciousness to safely form this like.”

            “Hmm, well I guess that is ok too. So, what do I do now?”

            “Well let’s see what your status is as a dungeon, just think Status Page, and it should appear for both of us.”

Just think Specification Selection, and it should bring this up, since this is a onetime selection, and will establish what our starting skills will be.”

            “Well Lexa, what do you think we should pick?”

            “Well some of these choices I have only heard mentioned and they are not available to every new dungeon. I’ve only ever heard of slime dungeons, I don’t even know if one exists right now. As far as the Undead, and the Imp dungeon choices, the churches of the world would make it their mission to destroy us, and I don’t think we need that kind of pressure right from the start.”

            “Hmm, well that what about the others?”

            “Well it ultimately is up to you, but just please do not pick the Undead or Demon options, I would rather live to a ripe old age.”

            “Haha, would it really be that bad. Ok, Ok, well while slime sounds interesting, I don’t think I want to have to deal with figuring out all the new evolutionary paths of slimes, since it sounds like you would not be able to help much with that. So I think that I am going to pick Elemental. It sounds like we can tailor make it to our standards, what do you think.”

            “Well, it is one that I have only heard of in rumor, so I would love to go down the path of the elements with you. We might be the first ever elemental dungeon, so lets do it!”

            “Ok”
