Titan was a merchant who worked at the traders' guild. His father was widely known as the man who established the guild and took it to the heights of fame and value it was now. But still Titan wanted to work to start from the bottom as he believed in earning his father’s position through his own efforts.

Titan regularly brought goods ordered by the duchess by himself to the mansion. He was young and had wide eyes with a tall figure with golden Viking hair. His face was flawless and charming. To top it all, his body was athletic and had alluring muscles built in his limbs and abdomen.

Titan was proving to be more skilled than his father. He inherited most of his father’s qualities and knew how to sweet talk someone into buying something, that is why he always brought the product catalogues to the mansion. After the delivering the goods to the lady, he used to tell her about the new products that the guild has secured. He showed her the catalogue and advised her on what product she should buy and why. He also told her about the products she shouldn’t be buying in order to build trust in her. Due to this, he kept receiving new orders every time he delivered something.

One fine day, Titan went to the mansion in order to deliver the goods. But Emilia wasn’t well that day. Titan offered to come later, but the servants mentioned that the lady has ordered her daughter to receive the order.

Titan waited in the lounge for the young miss to come, suddenly the voice of footsteps drew his attention. A not so tall woman, dressed in a white halter gown made out of silk and patterned with flowers made of gold thread with black hair and an elegant smile, walked towards him. She had fair skin and a sylphlike body, with facial features almost as attractive as a Greek goddess.

Titan stood from his seat as Shilpi stood before him.

Shilpi extended her hand in order to greet Titan, but he was dumbfounded by the beauty that was standing before him. Titan couldn’t muster the strength in order to resist her charms, but he had to do something, so he bent towards the lady in order to hold her hand and then kissed her hand. Her delicate skin and the fragrance coming from it enchanted Titan. He somehow brought himself to his senses and offered her a seat out of courtesy.

As they both sat down, Titan took out an invoice along with the list of merchandise he had brought with him. After Shilpi signed the invoice with the duke’s seal, she glanced at the list of items. As the young miss looked at the list, Titan thought for a bit and took out a small book with black cover on it, “Here ma’am, take a look at this catalogue, I believe you would take a liking to some items listed here. Although these are special artefacts the guild plans to auction out, I believe you are pretty enough for me to show them to you in advance.” Shilpi blushed at the young merchant’s comment as she took a peek at the catalogue.

The items listed in the catalogue included precious gemstones, swords, antiques as well as lavish clothes. The young maiden was puzzled as she looked at the long list of commodities, with each item as good as the other one. Looking at the bewilderment on the girl’s face, Titan spoke, “Don’t worry, just ask me anything. I will tell you if the item is worth spending on or not. Although we are not authorized to do so, but I will do it anyway for you.” Thereafter, Titan told her about everything listed in the book, one after the other according to the lady’s preferences.

While he spoke, Shilpi peeked at the handsome and confident seller; something strung her maiden heart. She was feeling attraction towards Titan, but due to inexperience, she could not figure out the emotion she was going through. After completing his job, Titan took his leave.

Titan too was having a crush on the young maiden, but knowing that his social standing was too low to court a duchess. But still he wished to meet her the next time he visited the manor.

Shilpi’s eighteenth birthday and the coming of the age ceremony were approaching. Titan once again arrived at the Duke’s manor. After waiting for a short while in the drawing room, Emilia came along with her daughter. As soon as Titan laid eyes on the young miss, his heart started pounding heavily. His face tinted with excitement as the pair took their seat. Shilpi wasn’t unaffected by this as well. Her face went red with shyness and her eyes sparkled with joy. Emilia was quick to pick up on the situation, but she didn’t want to make the situation awkward, so she carried on with signing the invoice Titan gave her.

Then she looked at the item’s list, and suddenly she acted as if she remembered to do something, “Oh God! I forgot to tell the maid about today’s menu. I shall return in a few minutes, until then you should take a look at the new merchandise the guild has secured. Titan, would you be kind enough to show her the catalogue.” She took off as soon as she finished speaking.

The young pair was left all alone in the room. Titan slowly took out the catalogue while avoiding looking at Shilpi. Even Shilpi could not face Titan. The duo carried on with their bashfulness as they surfed through the catalogue. Suddenly, Shilpi looked at Titan and said, “Do… Do you like me?”. She closed her eyes out of embarrassment as she spoke.

Titan was surprised at her straight forwardness. He mustered strength and looked in her eyes, he wanted to deny the fact thinking that they could never be together but as soon as he laid his eyes on hers, he forgot everything. The only thought that came to his mind was how beautiful she looked. He could no more control his words as they popped out of his mouth, “No! I love you.”
