Oh, yeah! What happened to the lizard? Did I finish eating it..? Ugh, that sounds really weird even in my head. Ah, well. I checked myself over and it looked like the lizard had finished digesting. My hunger was sated, but I was thirsty, too. Oh! The pond the lizard was drinking from! I headed over there and looked at the water. Even with as blurry vision that I had, I could make out that the water was faintly... glowing? Is this even water? Well, only one way to find out!

I take a sip of the "water", and am surprised that the water tastes.. energetic? It's like it buzzes in my mouth, radiating with energy. It feels really wierd.. Oh well. I need to drink it anyway. I finish getting my fill of the water, and the water feels like when it enters my mouth it goes to a structure in my body I didn't know existed. Is it like a... water gland? Never seen that on a snake. Ah, well.

I should probably appraise myself. It's been a while since I've done it, and that was when I was still in my egg. Appraisal.

Alright. So snake is the creature, Cycotus is the species. Name is unnamed, so the body I'm in doesn't have a name? My HP is 16, so I'm still recovering from the lizard battle. And when I last checked it, it was... 1? It did say unborn, so mabye if my egg was broken I would die? Ah well. MP... Like magic? I don't have any... What's crystallized? Does it have something to do with the pond?

I take a sip of water and look back at my status. Sure enough, it changed to 10.1%. So if I keep drinking this water will I get magical abilities? Whatever. Let's focus on my status. STA is stamina, so after eating the lizard I have full stamina. Stats... are my stats high or low? I can't tell, but I can be pretty sure my forditude is complete trash. I got slammed so hard against that rock and it made quite a large dent. Still developing.. When will my scales fully come in? I checked myself again and the red specks seemed larger than before. So I'm still in my infant form. When will I grow up? Eh, moving on. We have our points, but I haven't used enhance points before. How do i use them?

WHAT IS THIS?!?

My face felt like it was deforming and expanding, which if you didn't know is EXTREMELY PAINFUL! Why does everything have to hurt so much?!?!! AGHH!

I struggle on the ground for about half a minute until the pain stops. Unfortunately, I couldn't experience the blissful nothingness that is closing my eyes. I have a clear eyelid that closes on its own but never obscures my vision, so what I see is the blurry cave rocking every which way as I flail around in pain. Eventually, it stops.

Thank god it stopped. I tried looking around again and things looked more focused for me. Still blurry as hell, but at least a little better. Once I can see on my own, I won't even need my tongue to taste the air anymore! I'm still not used to it, being that I've only been in this world for about a week. As a snake. God, I wish I weren't a snake.

I wander around the cave a bit more. Atleast since I'm not starving and on the brink of death, I can have a little leisure time. Well, apparently not. Around 2 hours of looking later, I hear a pebble being kicked behind me. I turn around to see a... giant rat?! It apparently thinks I'm a worm, because it is staring at me hungrily. Too bad for you, I'm not gonna be eaten! Now that you have my attention, I'm not gonna get surprise attacked! The rat runs at me and I slither towards him. He bares his teeth and tries to take a bite at my tail. My powerful muscles move it out of the way quickly and I get under him, readying myself to bite him. I lunge upwards and puncture his stomach. Jeez, that level up was no joke. The bite power was increased as well as my fang's penetration, so his fur and skin won't protect him. The rat screeches and jumps back, but already feels the effect of the venom. He falls over, and tries to screech again, but what comes out is closer to a croak, then it dies.

Might as well try it out to see its combat potential. Venom Shot!

My venom gland works in overdrive and my muscles contract and squeeze out a small bit of venom. It fires from my fang and flies about 2 feet before hitting the ground. Eh... it isn't really effective, and venom only really works inside the body. Oh, and it's also a big waste of stamina! I went down about 4 points just from that? Oh well. I should probably get to eating the rat before some other beast tries and takes it.

After swallowing the rat, which was about the size of a watermelon, I started to head out into more of the cave. I was feeling adventurous and wanted to make sure my surroundings were clear. I slithered for a few more hours, and came across a new tunnel. I didn't go in, but made sure it was safe. I watched the cave for a bit, and saw groups of ants walking to and from the cave, either carrying food or.. stones? Why would they need stones? The stones were dark blue, but that was the best I could make out. I usually saw only a couple ants come back from a group of 20 ants, along with a dead beast. Based on the amount of them, right now I wouldn't stand a chance.

I wandered for a bit more, and then a notification came up.

Huh? I didn't do anything though...

Hmm. I didn't get this notification when I was wandering the long tunnel for the two days I was in there. Mabye it has something to do with the monsters? Like how many you kill in a period of time impact your enhance points?

I wanted to test that theory, so I would take on 5 ants every 2 hours, but I never got the notification, besides leveling up once. Then, I got hungry and ate the ants. Then the notification came up.

So is it how ever many you eat in a certain period of time? Hmm. Come to think of it, I never have had to relieve myself. Is this turning the food that doesn't get turned into stamina into Enhance Points? Interesting. I chose to wander for a bit more and then came across something I wouldnt believe to find in a cave. Shining green plants, trees as large as a building, lush groves, and monsters roaming it everywhere. A sight to see.

It was an entire forest in a cave. Was that even possible?!
