Ugh, I feel like crap.

Why did I have to be a freaking snake?! I mean, I'd at least want to be a dragon or something intimidating, now I'm just a little danger noodle!

First impressions of my body? Not liking it. I feel like I've been shoved into a cylinder, but the cylinder is squeezing and pulling on me. It's way too wierd.

As soon as I came out of my eggshell, I immediately noticed that by human standards, I would be considered legally blind. I can't see a wall 3 inches in front of me! How I know this? I've ran into them trying to move around. Where am I even? It's a dimly lit cave with a bunch of cracked white rocks. I still haven't got used to this body, so I move around for a couple more minutes.

A few hours pass by and I have found my way into a narrow tunnel. In science class, I learned snakes moved with their tongues, I tried it and I hadn't felt anything like it before! It was like a sonar! My brain adjusted how far the walls were by the smell of the rocks, and I thought to keep doing it, it was helpful to me moving.

I've been wandering down this tunnel for what feels like forever, and I'm starting to get really hungry. Man, I really want something to eat!!

There's even that?? Well, the pangs are easing up a bit. But I'm still really hungry! It feels like I haven't eaten in 2 days! Uughh.. I think this tunnel is leading to my doom. If I don't commit and reach the end before I starve, I don't think I'll survive! Just keep going, Mark.. Just keep going...

Eventually, I feel halfway about to pass out. The hunger is really getting to me. But then, when I lick the air to find smells, I can't find any. Not even the rocks. I mean, I can still smell the floor, but the walls are gone. Did I walk right into an open chasm?!? Oh crap. I take another whiff. Yep, that isn't walls. It's a beast!

I try to be as quiet as a danger noodle can be. Most snakes are stealthy predators, they sneak up on unsuspecting prey. I slither on and slither on, feeling as close to fainting as one can feel. Eventually, I reach it! ...Holy crap.

A lizard probably 3 times the size of me is standing by the edge of a pond, gulping down water. Just seeing it made me realize I was thirsty as well! Oookay. Should I fight it or go for the water? I feel hunger is a bigger issue, so I'll attack it!

I try and form a plan to the best of my abilities, but it isn't very smart. Only one way to find out, though!

I approach slowly at first, but increase in speed the closer i get to him. I'm about 2 feet away from him when I lunge out and take a bite out of his scaly back! Yeowch! My teeth sink in, but it's really damn hard! As soon as I bit the lizard, it started screeching and flailing around, trying to get whatever was attacking it off of it.

Uwoehhh, this is a weird feeling. Like my teeth started gushing liquid. Oh no, is it blood? My open mouth sniffs the air quickly, and I immediately realized it wasn't blood. It was venom! So I'm a venomous snake! The venom was quickly injected into the lizard, but he throws my undeveloped body against a pillar sticking out next to him. YOWWW!! That hurts REALLY BAD! Don't I have scales for something like this?!?

I tried viewing myself and ended up seeing a white body, with little red specks poking out from it. So I haven't fully developed... I viewed the damage, and was shocked to see what was there. A dent, probably 2 inches in, on the middle of my body! Can I even survive with that?!? No matter! I have an enemy I have to fight!!

I turn my attention to the lizard. It has locked on to me and started hissing, but it's movements are dampened thanks to the venom. It appears to have a paralysis affect. Suddenly, the lizard charges at me with rage and violence. Can I dodge that?!

As the lizard runs at me, I move a little bit to offset my position. Then, when the lizard is super close to me, I lunge with my mouth and grab hold of his body. The force of it moving swings me around it, allowing me to wrap my body around it. I make bite after bite, the lizard screeching louder and louder. It doesn't want to die, and neither do I! We have to fight to survive!

The lizard responds by scratching itself to try and grab my head. And eventually, it succeds. Oh crap, this is the end of me. The grip feels really weak, but still strong enough to hold me. I writhe my body around, trying to escape it, but it doesn't budge. The lizard pins me down and opens it's mouth, threatening to bite my head off. It gets really close and eventually, it stops. The grip loosens and the lizard falls over, dead. Thank god for my venom! But best of all, I won! I won, I won my first encounter! I am so happy! Too happy, in fact, to notice that I am close to death.

Oh crap. I forgot to eat. My brain starts numbing and working slower. Huh.... wh... why did I attack the lizard again? ...oh, yeah, I did.. because I was.. hungry.. Wait.. how do I eat this thing..? Snakes swallow.. things whole.. right..? Do I.. have.. to swallow.. this whole thing..?! No use.. questioning it.. now..! I have.. to survive..!

I put the tail of the lizard in my mouth.

I try and gulp it down, bit by bit, but it's so hard to do. The lizard is still 3 times bigger than me, dead or not! If only I could cut it up or something... Whatever! 5 minutes pass by and I have put about 2 thirds of it in my stomach. It feels like it's about to burst! I can't stop, though. If I do, I'll die of hunger!

2 more minutes pass, and most of it is in my stomach, only the head remains outside my mouth. Oh, god. The frills on the lizard are spiky and form a large disk. If I can't swallow that and endure it until I digest it, I'll be a goner! But, it's gonna hurt like hell. Here we go!

YEOWCH!!!! The frills feel like a minature sun shaped object got lodged in my throat! Agh.. It scrapes my stomach as it slowly goes in, and I can tell I'm starting to bleed. Endure it, endure it! Please! The head is almost all in me, but I'm still worrying about the frills. I manage to fit it all in, and as soon as I do, the world starts fading. And just like that, I pass out...
