In the mysterious realm of gods, the gods were still in an arguement, some still opposing the very existence of the dungeon while others were openly supporting it, enraging the other gods.
“We’ve got to do something about this thing, it shouldn’t exist, if it brings calamity to worlds why should it be allowed to exist?!” Shouted one of the gods.
”Well, it will fix a big problem, so what if a few worlds die, it’s happened before, and everyone knows dungeons produce ambient mana so it’s possible a dungeon of that size should fix our mana problem, we should let it grow and we can send mortals there to gather whatever it makes. The only problem is how to get the mortals there.”
“It shouldn’t exist anyhow, it will bring nothing but calamity to us all!”
”Calm down, there’s no need to get worked up over a dungeon.”
“Worked up?!”
”Quiet, both of you.”
The two gods lower their heads and sit back in their seats, one visibly fuming while the other had a smirk on his face. After a moment of awkward silence, “It would seem the pros outweigh the cons, we should nurture the dungeon and let it prosper however if it does eventually go rogue we must put it down.”
”Indeed, that seems to be the proper course, let’s have a vote shall we, all in favor...”
----------------------------------------
“So I’m liking this idea, but how am I supposed to build it all, I’ve got an entire planet to cover.” I am quite curious as to how as Archa seems pretty confident.
”That does seem to be a problem, but it’s easy, every dungeon can do it but you’re going to need to use it more than others because of how massive you are,” she said, somehow I could hear a smirk in that voice.
”Well don’t hold out what is it?”
”Oh, all you have to do is split your mind, you would be able to control the different pieces of yourself and have them do different tasks, also as a dungeon you’re inherently amazing at multitasking, you should know this by now, all dungeons are born with this information.”
I remain quiet, curious if I should tell her I was reborn or not. Ultimately I decide that it would be better to share. She could have some sort of idea on this. So I tell her my story of how I got here.
”Well that’s no wonder how you don’t know anything, and I can’t believe you’re somehow still alive! Ha imagine it, a mortal soul wandering through the void and becoming something that shouldn’t exist!”
”What do you mean?”
”I mean you shouldn’t be alive, and it’s impossible for you, a dungeon of this size to even exist!”

”Well I’m here aren’t I?”
”Yea you are, that’s whats confusing me, but it’s no matter, we’re going to have lots of fun together!”
I got lost in my thoughts thinking about the future, it’s a good ways away until I’m content but I’m willing to do whatever it takes. It isn’t a moment later that I’m interrupted from my thoughts.
“Hello? You there? Anyone home?”
”Yes I’m here, sorry I was just thinking.”
”Well don’t think to hard, I could see smoke billowing out of your core.” She laughed and I ignored the comment. “Are you going to split your mind yet? Come on it’s not like there isn’t a possiblility of dying or anything.”
”What?!” I mentally yelled and watched as the cat winced.
”Not so loud, it was just a joke, as a dungeon you shouldn’t die from it. Just go ahead and try so we can start building.”
I have as good a sigh I could with my lack of lungs, not of relief but of annoyance. I focus inward on myself, I think. I have no idea if I’m doing any of this correctly or not. Almost naturally I imagine a piece of myself detaching yet connected by an imaginary rope to myself. I could feel it working yet what next. Then a screen answered that question for me.
[Contrats! You’ve successfully split you mind [1] time. What would you like this piece to perform?]
This is perfect. What to do, what to do. I know, I focus on the piece of myself and imagine it building a complex maze on the surface of the planet. The screen disappears and I knew it worked. It was like breathing while I was alive, I can feel it doing something and I somehow know I could take over any minute.

[1: Building a labyrinth on surface]

With this new screen filling my mind I was drawn towards the parameters, the piece would just build whatever kind of labyrinth and just be done. I wasn’t sure what to put so I informed Archa.
”Well if course you’d have to put parameters, it would just do whatever, here think of no monsters, a height limit, how wide, traps, what the walls are made of, the usual stuff you’d find you know, come on it really isn’t that hard.” She laughed and I became frustrated with myself for not thinking of that.
I focus on that piece and think of what exactly I want. Let’s make it cover half the surface, let’s do 50 feet tall, no monsters as I don’t want people to die just yet, and maybe put a little bit of Mythril in the walls so it would be harder to break.

[1: Building a labyrinth on surface]
[Parameters: ]
~50 feet high
~no monsters
~inlay the walls with Mythril
~must cover exactly half the surface of the planet
And the piece went right to work, but what it was doing was confusing me, it was making a tunnel to the surface. There was a small hole, about 5 centimeters wide in the middle of one of the walls. It is making really good process absorbing the stone and going straight towards the surface at an incredible pace. I looked at Archa and asked her why it was doing that.
”Oh sorry I keep forgetting that you don’t know this stuff, it’s making the tunnel so that your mana can access the surface, don’t ask me how it works even I don’t know, my guess is that dungeons can’t make their mana just go straight through random walls, it actually has to be connected somehow, like a tunnel or hallway of sorts.”
This could be a bit of a problem but I can make it work. Oh huh the tunnel has reached the surface already, it’s a fast worker alright, guess if I really put my mind to it I can really get stuff done. I mentally laugh at my little pun and watch, enthralled as the fast forming maze growing out of the gravel and stone.
The ground starts to smooth out and begins to look like a normal stone floor while the walls have a slight green hue. The other piece of myself doesn’t seem to be making it into any kind of pattern, just a confusing mess meant to trap people in and not let them out. I will my mind to look at it from above. The maze stands out like a sore thumb, a large contrast to the waste land that is my home.
